This thread's moving so fast - sorry if I've missed anything!

auntie - good luck if they do go ahead with the induction.

Congrats ellen!

mupperoon - that's where I was born!

Hope everyone else is doing well. So so glad tomorrow is my last day of commuting after a horrible journey home this evening. Tomorrow is my last day of work and also marks baby being full term. At the moment he's teasing me with yet more period pain and Braxton Hicks. Keeping an eye on it, but suspect it will turn out to be nothing.

GrouchyKiwi · 26/06/2014 22:15

Oooh. All the best tomorrow, mixi and Plate.

Had a MW appointment today and baby is now (probably) head down, which is lovely. But MW had to use one of the old-fashioned heart listening devices to be sure and she wasn't completely convinced. Ah well, still 4+ weeks to go. Plenty of time for baby to move to a new position anyway. My babies are apparently very active.

DH gave me a lovely foot massage this evening and I have ankles again! That's pretty exiting.

fifi669 · 26/06/2014 22:23

Baby has gone from 3/5 engaged to free! Good job I'm having an ELCS, this one wasn't going to play ball.

I've got a provisional date now, I'm pencilled in for the 7th unless of course I go into labour before. I thought it'd be the 3rd so now with an extra weekend it seems ages away.

DP is a bit gutted too, that weekend before he's got some really bad shifts at work he was hoping to get out of....

BlueC2 · 27/06/2014 03:49

Evening night owls! So far I've had minimal sleep tonight due to horrendous heartburn (hot curry not a good idea!) and my arm being so so sore after whooping cough jab. Now despite my being desPerate for baby to come I would like baby to get the benefit of thw WH jab which I'm guessing will take at least 72 hours so I need to be patient.

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday · 27/06/2014 04:23

Evening! (Or should I say morning?)

37 weeks today. Blimey. That's a bit scary.

Hope your arm feels better soon blue - mine felt a bit bruised for about a day after the whooping cough jab.

mixi - sorry that it's not the date you thought you were getting, but not too long to go!

Incapinka · 27/06/2014 04:34

Morning! Another one awake here. My arm ached for a couple of days after the jab. Poor babies. No wonder they cry when they have it in their leg!

Becky2208 · 27/06/2014 06:42

Morning all, I woke up bleeding this morning, so it looks like I'm spending the day in the hospital. Everything looks fine, but they may decide to induce in the next couple of days if the bleeding continues. They've sent dh home, so all I have to occupy me is my phone. I've been here just over an hour and I'm already bored!

icklekid · 27/06/2014 06:56

Morning all, was awake at 1am and read but couldn't have strung a sentence together! I'm 38 weeks today and ready whenever you are baby!!!

its enjoy last commute and day at work hope you can let go and walk away! Be prepared to feel a bit lost on Monday though- that or have lots of jobs to do over the week!

fifi sounds like baby is not behaving but at least you have a date and can set expectations. Went out with nct ladies last night and that was pn all our minds- get so into a mindset of the kind of birth we want and don't consider the opposite could be the case!

kiwi do tell what are these ankles that you speak ok? I haven't seen mine for a while...!

mtpg wow I'm impressed for stamina to dtd so much I'm going to try for the weekend but won't cross my fingers!

Good luck to mixi and plate still waiting on news from Mrsa and auntie

Oh and I gave in and went to m&s for nursing bras in the end. She measured me and managed to find some not entirely hideous ones! A friend had lent me some of hers but without padding or underwire I cried when trying them on- thats a lie I cried at the thought of having to wear them. Only bought 2 so can get me started and then order online/send dh to shops when at least I know size!

Going for coffee, cake and cuddles with 4 week old today then baby shower thrown by work tonight. ..may need to sleep in between said 2 events! Also realised I never expect to go into labour in the morning. .. at night quite possibly, in the afternoon/eve sure but in the morning not so much! As I write this I realise how ridiculous I sound! Also john lewis sale for baby clothes- I am so lucky I don't know if its a girl or a boy could have spent a fortune!!!

icklekid · 27/06/2014 07:00

Just seen your post becky hope all is ok- do they know the cause of the bleeding? At least it won't last too much longer, when were you due? Why have they sent dh home? That would upset me most! Hope you've got some books/tablet with films or something on it to keep you entertained!

ZingWhale · 27/06/2014 07:14

I don't log in for a day and miss so much!Shock

Becky

hope all is ok and the bleeding is nothing to worry about.

blue

any more news on whether it was your waters or not?
I think you should get checked.
I had a trickle with DS1 @ 39 +6, it was the waters but as no contractions I had to be induced @40+1.
good thing really, he had been distressed and when they properly broke waters in hosp there was meconium in it.

ellen

massive Congratulations on birth of baby Isaac! Thanks
wonderful name (khm, DS5 is Isaac, so I'm of course biased)

Glad of the reminder of whooping cough jab - still not booked it, will phone GP today! Feeling so disorganised. Manic finishing off work but if I'd been more organised earlier I probably wouldn't be working all hours now to finish off. Have literally done nothing but work, sleep and fret about ECV all week.

BlueC2 · 27/06/2014 08:33

Hope everyone's days goes well, I'm afraid my totally sleep deprived brain can't remember what's happening for everyone individually so will have to content myself with a general comment...sorry all!

Had one of my worst nights in terms of sleep last night and feel shattered, plus bowels not great, v constipated then turns into diarrhoea half way through (sorry tmi) which just leaves me feeling awful! DM and DSD went home last night so I have DS to myself today, thankfully the weekend tomorrow and DH is off!

zing had a pad on all day yesterday and nothing more so think it was just a mega wee Blush I may have popped over to triage yesterday if they didn't have people queuing out of the door... that really was the last thing I fancied doing to then be told nothing was happening. If there's any sign of anything else then I'll be on the phone to them again sharpish though and will be carrying my notes with me whenever I go out now.

Right...can hear DS chattering away to himself so really ought to go and get him and do breakfast and start the day properly, can't hide in bed all day unfortunately!

Becky2208 · 27/06/2014 08:36

They don't know what's causing the bleeding, but they've monitored baby and the heart rate and movements are all good. They sent dh home as we were here so early - he's on his way back now. I'm getting very teary as I'm on my own with nothing to distract myself. I'm hoping he remembers to bring my iPad so at least I have something to do. Hope everyone else is ok.

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 27/06/2014 08:38

I had a little girl yesterday morning by ELCS. She weighed 3.3kg (already dropped to 3.1kg this am). It wasn't easy for me, but much better than DS's EMCS so very happy to have avoided a repeat of that. We are both doing ok. I'll be in hospital a few more days but already got out of bed this morning. It was a bit of a surprise to have the ELCS so soon after being told I could have it!

GrouchyKiwi · 27/06/2014 08:45

Congratulations Foxtrot! Hope you continue to recover quickly, and enjoy your precious wee one.

Becky Hope they work out the bleeding. Glad your DH is on his way back.

Have lots to do today but can't really be bothered. Suspect it will be a loud music day for motivation.

ismarah · 27/06/2014 08:53

Blimey Foxtrot congratulations! That was quick!

Good luck with ECV Plate and hopefully Becky won't be alone all day.

Anyone heard from Auntie?

(We're getting a bit busy already in June!)

Plateofcrumbs · 27/06/2014 08:58

Congratulations foxtrot!

ZingWhale · 27/06/2014 09:22

Foxtrot

Thanks Thanks Thanks Congratulations!
that was quick! any idea about names yet?( that is if you happy to share, you don't have to)

take care of your back, after any epidurals or spinals you it's likely to be sore.

blue

I know you will get advice when needed, sorry if I was stating the obvious!Wink

[mother hen]

No don't worry zing I had to deal with DM's un'helpful' comments all day yesterday-yours much much better and from a greater wealth of experience too!! I do SO appreciate all the help and support from this thread :)

foxtrot huge congrats!!

Hope auntie you're ok?

ZingWhale · 27/06/2014 10:44

Blue

phew!
I was worried I'd upset you!Smile

When DS1 was very little I was so desperate with the lack of sleep I did end up asking both DM & MIL about how to get a baby to sleep.
MIL said she could never get them to sleep, DM said she just couldn't remember.Confused
I told them both I will never ask for advice again or will want to be given any and told them they were both useless!Grin
we all laughed.

of course they are not useless at all, but it was hilarious, that the one time I gave up my pride and admitted I haven't a clue they couldn't help!

but yes, unsolicited advice with just a hint of criticism can be infuriating (and they both have plenty of thoseAngry ) so I'm extra careful & really try not doing the same!

Congratulations foxtrot

Have we heard from Tuesdays c section ladies?

ZingWhale · 27/06/2014 10:56

thing is, of course posting on MN is not a priority for them right now, but it makes you wonder if everything is ok.
but I'm sure they are fine.

Our hospital is a connectivity dead zone - maybe theirs is too?

This could be problematic as I need to order something for DH's birthday and I don't dare do it until after bean arrives, which means needing to do it in hospital. I shall have to bribe a porter to bring me outside or something..
