am watching gavin and staceys christmas special. Period like pains and lower back very sore.

I think I'll be napping during the day tomorrow. Just after we have sorted a new dishwasher, cannot believe ours has broken down two weeks before due date and the repair will cost more than a new one. I can cook and wash up at the same time but DH is whinging all the time. Hmm.

justhayley · 28/06/2014 03:38

Awwww 3.40am and my phone battery's about to die - I'm at my mums and there's no sockets near by, what am I going to do for the next 90 mins I will no doubt be awake Shock need to catch up on MN!!!

justhayley · 28/06/2014 03:40

Errrrrm who wants to break it to Liquid that her period back pains may very well be the start of labour and she may well not be napping or fixing dishwashers tomorrow Smile

liquidstatehasrisenagain · 28/06/2014 03:51

Yay!

Just doing my birth plan Blush

justhayley · 28/06/2014 04:21

Ok all caught up with about 5% battery left - so I'll make this quick.

Congratulations Ellen and foxtrot GrinGrinGrin

Fab news on your turning babies nancy and plate.

Aunty hope your ok and are enjoying baby cudgels by now.

Can't think of any more specifics - told you I'd be quick.
Hope everyone is doing ok - for those of you DTD twice a day please do not let my DP know about this.

I'm ok have absolutely noting to report - still pregnant nothing happening still waking up for 2 hours during the night ConfusedAngry

Xxx

justhayley · 28/06/2014 04:23

Hi liquid - thought I was he only one up waves
Haha yes yet your plan ready - I did mine whilst in labour last time it probably didn't make much sense lol.
Actually need to put that on my list of things to so this weekend.

icklekid · 28/06/2014 04:24

Morning all! 4am Sad only got to sleep at 11.30 after a very chilled but lovely baby shower. .. exciting that so many folk on here are starting to v ready! After last weeks scare I'm a bit disappointed that nothing seems to be progressing...still don't feel like baby dropped/engaged yet either... lots of braxton hicks and painful kicks though. First lady from our nct class has been scheduled c section next Fri due to breech baby. Made it more real to the rest of us that birth plan is just a piece of paper!

Must try to get some more sleep. ..think it may be a nap filled Saturday!

Plateofcrumbs · 28/06/2014 04:35

liquid can't believe same think happened to you - mine definitely wasn't a fan of the monitor either, I'm sure that is what did it! Grin. Whole experience was actually really helpful prep and I felt surprisingly calm despite having loads of people buzzing round room at one point and having no idea what was going on. DH was being all assertive and getting questions asked too - good birth partner training!

Oh and I got my cheesecake eventually Wink

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday · 28/06/2014 05:02

Hey 4am buddies. Just caught up with thread.

plate - what a palaver, but glad it all ended with baby head down (and with cheesecake). Glad nancy's baby is also behaving themselves now too :)

Congratulations foxtrot - that was fast!

Last day at work was really nice - not sure I'll fully take in the fact that I'm not going in anymore until Monday though!

Sorry for any news that I've missed - now I'm officially a pregnant lady of leisure I'll hopefully keep up with the thread a bit better. Hope everything is alright with becky, auntie, and our two scheduled ELCS ers.

ickle - I think my baby keeps popping in and out of my pelvis just to annoy me. He's definitely staying in the same basic position, but sometimes I feel like his weight is all on my bladder when I walk, and sometimes it just feels different. Have a midwife appointment next week so I guess I shall see then.

NancyinCali · 28/06/2014 05:10

Yay for head-down baby plate! So pleased for you :)

Sorry so many of you are up in the middle of the night. I'll be the same in a few hours (9.10pm now),

liquid keep us posted!

icklekid · 28/06/2014 05:18

its I'm sure my baby does that too- text dh at lunch saying felt really low, by eve back to where he/she was!

nancy hope you don't find yourself awake all hours!

plate massive cheesecake envy- we have this www.thecheesecakeshop.co.uk/Default.aspx round the corner guess where dh is going tomorrow Wink

NancyinCali · 28/06/2014 05:27

Mmmmmm cheesecake. This is one of our favourite places: Cheesecake Factory

ZingWhale · 28/06/2014 07:59

period pain and back ache - liquid are you in labour?

Nancy

I thought you have a photo of where Penny works in The Big Bang Theory!Grin

Looks as though I missed all the middle of the night chatter by a whisper as did fall asleep eventually. Realised something bizarre though- a friend had said she didn't see me going past 38 weeks (which is today according to scan or Tuesday according to LMP). Another friend, totally independently said she thought it would be 38+3-which is Tuesday by scan dates!! So strangely they've both said the same thing! Second friend was the one who had a dream my baby turned during the night it did actually turn!! SOOOO I'm clearly now fixated on it all happening by Tuesday Blush

On a different note there seems to be a cheesecake theme developing as DH came home last night and announced he wanted to make one today after his birthday baking success last week-clearly I'm not going to object :)

AuntieMaggie · 28/06/2014 09:27

Congratulations foxtrot

Still no news from our ELCS ladies from last week?

I had a baby boy last night weighing 8 lbs 10 oz. Not much went to plan tbh (I'll share another time) but we are both happy and healthy and being very well looked after in hospital for the time being.

Hope the rest of you are well.

BlueC2 · 28/06/2014 09:35

So good to hear from you auntie and huge congratulations on the arrival of your little boy! So sorry things didn't go to plan but pleased to hear you and baby are well and being looked after.

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday · 28/06/2014 09:44

Congratulations auntie! Glad you're both doing well.

Ipsumlorem · 28/06/2014 10:18

Massive congrats on your little boy auntie! Hope you and dp are having loads of cuddles Smile

Well not much happening here - period like pains and sore back the whole way through dinner last night and the movie we watched afterwards - at one point I joked to dh that if things kicked off I would not be going to hospital until I had had dessert Smile

Went to bed and everything seems to have stopped again for now so going to have another little decluttering session in the house today. Bought a few last min things we still needed last night so starting to feel a bit more ready for babys arrival. Also starting to get a bit anxious now incase anything goes wrong but I suppose thats maybe normal this far on? 38 weeks today Smile

Becky2208 · 28/06/2014 10:19

Congrats auntie, sorry things didn't go to plan, but glad you and baby are doing ok.

I'm still in the hospital waiting to see a doctor. Apparently they have a reduced team on weekends and due to an emergency there's no way of knowing when I might be seen. I'm really fed up now!

BlueC2 · 28/06/2014 10:28

Oh becky what a pain! Hope you get seen soon!

ips due date buddy... I'm 38 weeks today too :)

We're supposed to be heading out for a little walk and to do a few errands this morning but we're moving at snails pace so not getting v far and I am just so so tired, still, again, after last nights awakeness! Frustrating though as the weather seems to be getting progressively greyer after being v sunny first thing!

Happy Saturday all

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 28/06/2014 10:30

Congratulations Auntie. Sorry to hear it didn't go to plan, but hope you are both doing ok now.

Very quick ELCS, was in appointment and told to come back next day to be admitted night before. Dr said it needed to happen quick to try and do it before labour started. I was 39+5.

Hopefully home on Tuesday. Get kept in 5 days as standard after csection here.

Sorry no more messages on phone!

ismarah · 28/06/2014 10:31

Congratulations Auntie that's wonderful news considering everything that's gone on. Very happy for you x

MrsA2 · 28/06/2014 11:07

Congratulations Auntie, lovely to hear that he's arrived safe and sound (if not exactly as planned) and I'm so pleased your husband was back in time after a very tricky few weeks.

Becky that really is rubbish, I hope you get seen soon.

Running out of things to do at weekends now! In the week I'm happy pottering around, going swimming (is manic here at weekends) and watching the tennis but at weekends I want to be doing more with DH but there's not much left that I can really do these days. Due date is Tuesday but I suspect I'll make it until at least next weekend as no real signs yet...

mupperoon · 28/06/2014 11:18

Congratulations Auntie!

Plate your almost-ECV experience sounds like a complete nightmare, I am so glad it turned out OK in the end, but how ridiculous that you ended up on an IV!

Last week it felt like my ninja Buddha was balanced on the edge of my pelvis and about to slip in... but it's floated back up and is bouncing around freely. Still lots of time to go I suppose. I am hoping that it comes a few days after the Tour de France passes through Essex so we can go and cheer with my parents. Although being more than an hour away from the hospital feels like tempting fate already.

mixi82 · 28/06/2014 11:58

Massive congrats Auntie!! Thanks

Well, finally got a bed in the hospital this morning at 9am. Had first dose of gel which will take 6hrs to take effect, then re-examined, next dose if required. When they examined me I actually expected to be really uncomfy but it wasn't so bad at all - will future examinations be painful though???

Went for a wander with DP and got cramp in one of my bum cheeks which he thought was hilarious.

DP has been really great, despite past issues, but they're not forgotten.... He has managed to mess up my well organised hospital bag in the spec of 5 mins though!
