Bingle no more teaching of other people's kids at least!

porcito · 19/06/2014 17:33

Also done with work already. Got 2 weeks left, and am already at the highly educational colouring in a poster stage. One of my classes threw me a baby shower today before they leave next week. It turns out I can't even vaguely feed a baby, nor did I realise how TINY the newborn nappies are! EEK!

mrsb87 · 19/06/2014 17:54

I'm On the 9wk countdown for mat leave!! So much drama at the moment and I'm finding it really hard to give a toss about any of it. Our company have just started a maternity group on Facebook, will be nice to other preggers in the company!

mrsb87 · 19/06/2014 18:01

That was meant to say "chat to"

Kirstipops · 19/06/2014 18:52

That'd be great fatpony if you could message me those links to the patterns, thanks!

Hi littlebear!

I too couldn't give a crap about work just now, I want to read my baby books, gut the house, go for naps and sunny lunches and buy baby stuff. 11 weeks tomorrow til I finish up.... watches clock

I am getting a bednest to attach to our bed, and a cocoonababy for downstairs then a cotbed for the nursery.

YellowWellies · 19/06/2014 20:15

That cocconababy looks good, especially if I get another wee refluxer. J slept on me most of the time during the day - I won't be able to do that with number two! Maybe if I get this new job I'll treat myself.

puppythedog · 19/06/2014 20:20

I don't have any of the being pregnant to experience but I do get the wholly fuck my life is going to change bit and this ha affected my enthusiasm for work. I was only commenting this morning that I can't be arsed; I'm happy with the face to face clinical but can't be arsed with politics or paperwork. Very unlike me. Nothing seems as important at the moment.

YellowWellies · 19/06/2014 20:35

DH and I have just scoffed an entire pot of salted caramel ice cream on the basis that the freezer is a bit full. And I wonder why my babies get CMPI.

STIGZ · 19/06/2014 20:44

So my mum has decided to blab to everyone that will listen what we plan to call our dd! She has made it clear that she doesnt like it & everyone else seems not keen either... Im so annoyed! Now im doubting myself that its a really horrendous name! But me & dp like it (only one we agree on) ! I have said my baby my choice deal with it but still feel gutted that people are so quick to tell me they think its a bad choice! ... Even my best friend.,, :(

tak1ngchances · 19/06/2014 20:46

What is it STIGZ? (Don't tell us of you don't want to)

Bumpforme2014 · 19/06/2014 20:52

Stigz I won't tell my mum our name because she won't like it and will also tell everyone she doesn't like it. Told my two best friends at weekend and both of them couldn't hide their dislike for it but I don't care, your not doing it to please them.

No tube dramas today, I left work early and decided I won't be attending meetings near Oxford circus in late afternoon ever again. Also couldn't care less about work but I am making the effort, think that will change though once I'm back from holiday in July!

bumpbangbump · 19/06/2014 20:55

What are all these names then??

I have to admit, I've not been able to hide a negative reaction to names people have considered. I just have a really expressive face... My sil has used Dolores as a middle name for my new niece and I hate it!!! Thank god she changed her mind about it as a first name, I can't even pretend to like it...

Im too scared to tell you what it is :) its not a crazy made up name that sounds wild or unusual .,, its just not a name that atleast 6 girls in her class at school will be named!,, thats why i like it .,, because its not popular! I work in a nursery so its difficult to pick a name without associating it with someone elses wee cherub(",)

My mum also didnt like my first dd name but said "it did grow on her" !! .,, i get nothing but compliments from strangers when they hear her name as it probz one they dont hear too often i think??

puppythedog · 19/06/2014 21:11

I've always liked Cuthbert...

...quite rare for a girl too.

YellowWellies · 19/06/2014 21:21

I got advised never to tell loved ones the name prebirth as they critique it in a way they wouldn't dare to after birth! I think our boys names are Finn and Magnus, and our girls name has always been Lillemor. Though I met a wee tot called Honey the other day and I loved it!

puppythedog · 19/06/2014 21:23

A friend genuinely suggested Imogen for a Boy. Bless her (the friend).

bumpbangbump · 19/06/2014 21:32

I was just typing something about names and totally missed the Rooney goal... Lesson learnt, don't mn when the football's on!!!!!!!!

Littlebear88 · 19/06/2014 21:34

Yellow our boys name was always Magnus until our 20 week scan where we both left the room turned to each other and said its definately not a Magnus!

We haven't quite decided on our alternative yet!

bumpbangbump · 19/06/2014 21:37

I love magnus and lillemor. Where does lillemor come from?
