Yes toots one cherry tomato balanced precariously on the top of any plate of food instantly transforms it into a well rounded healthy meal!

Holy crap Retro that link is amazing!!! IT'S MY INTESTINES. Middle of 2nd trimester though what is the shiny thing that comes down?

bellaboo88 · 23/06/2014 22:33

Thanks all. Im trying not to go psycho about it, but will deffo get intouch with them if it changes. I really fancy a plasticy happy meal burger with its little gurkin...im not talking a jar full, just the one!

Just bought 5 pack of doughnuts, 3 left to share? Xx

RetroHippy · 23/06/2014 22:39

fancy, that's the imaginary glow that all pregnant women get.

Or it's the flood of relief when your upchuck reflex finally settles down.

poly, DH hates fish. He didn't catch me in the act, but he did make the mistake of kissing me afterwards Grin

fancyacupoftea · 23/06/2014 22:42

Ohhhhhh. The glow.

PolytheneGirl · 23/06/2014 22:42

Retro that thing is scary as hell! Wtf was that lightning bolt that went down her oesophagus and zapped the placenta? And why didn't it show the food baby that is keeping my bean company?

PolytheneGirl · 23/06/2014 22:43

My DH hates fish too! I often give him a marmite kiss too, just because it's funny! Grin

PolytheneGirl · 23/06/2014 22:44

Or a pickled onion kiss!

RetroHippy · 23/06/2014 22:45

I'm choosing to believe that I obviously have a larger than average uterus that is shoving my bowels upwards.

I've put on 5lb already Blush

RetroHippy · 23/06/2014 22:46

bella, what filling?

Haha, like I care, chuck one my way!

PolytheneGirl · 23/06/2014 22:50

I've actually been thinking, since my scan, maybe my uterus is quite bit because the sonographer said, why is baby hiding right down here when it's got ALL THIS space up here?" And it just sounded like she was saying "it's huge!" But really at 12 weeks it's not that big, is it?

fancyacupoftea · 23/06/2014 22:55

My scan has 11cm written at the top. Is that the size of my uterus? Or code for something else?

PolytheneGirl · 23/06/2014 22:56

No idea? Confused

barmybunting · 24/06/2014 06:34

Fancy, I just looked at my 12 week scan and it says 13,3cm but what on earth is it on about? I have no idea what it is measuring! Placenta maybe? I don't know what size that is though.

Asos mat jeans look good, thanks for that link.

You lot can certainly talk about food, I am impressed Smile. Dinner last night was peaches, jelly and custard here, I couldn't be bothered with proper dinner. It was yum! Tonight is sausages, potato salad and asparagus I think.

Re. Brown blood again, I would phone the gp again for reassurance. Mine came on and off for a few weeks and gp told me to phone whenever I wanted, was a big help.

We are off to buy a pram this week Smile. Bit early but mothercare have a deal on, so may as well get it now. I can't decide on a colour though. Would be much easier to just find out the sex! 20 week scan on Monday.

Poly, nice soft blankets for baby shower maybe?

MademoiselleG · 24/06/2014 06:34

Morning penis dragons. I'm debating whether or not to go to work. I have a helluva lot to do, 5 lessons today, 2 sets of books to mark, a final NQT appraisal meeting and folder to fill in and handover meeting. Trouble is: I'm crying one minute and ok the next AND I hardly slept so I look like shit, feel even more sensitive and people are bound to ask if I'm ok.
I was hoping I'd wake up this morning and it had all been a dream. But no. And I'm still pregnant. I think that's the cruellest part. Somehow I wish I could just remove this baby now and get started thinking about the next one.
I also realised I won't be going in maternity leave at Christmas.
Ah well. At least I have tangfastics lying around, that'll do for breakfast!

fancyacupoftea · 24/06/2014 07:13

mademoiselle I think you need at least one day to experience all the emotion at home. More chance of crying than at work but it might help recovery in the long run.

MademoiselleG · 24/06/2014 07:30

You're right. I rang in and explained. And I'm keeping dd with me so that at least I'm not moping all day!

toots123 · 24/06/2014 07:39

Yeah thats the best idea madam no point worrying about what work youve got on when you need to make sure you and dd are ok :) take care. We're all here to help you through this rubbish time.x

weighed myself. Gained 1lb. So how come nothing fits me?!?! Wearing a dress to work. First time since bfp. Hoping no one notices and I can say "jeez thanks for pointing out ive not lost my holiday weight"

toots123 · 24/06/2014 07:43

Ive gone back to worrying all the time. Sad a week on Thursday till our next scan

when do you go back fancy ? I wont be as far on as they think I am so I might not get the tests done either!

Spotti · 24/06/2014 08:19

Big hugs for mademoiselle >>>squeeze

fancyacupoftea · 24/06/2014 08:37

I go back on Thursday. Kind of worried now.

How far will you be on your scan Toots?

Threnody · 24/06/2014 08:54

So sorry, Mademoiselle - [hugs]

Retro - thanks for the link!

I don't know if it is all this talk of food, but I'm suddenly feeling really nauseous. I may have to break out the ginger biscuits.

Also, starting to worry as I haven't heard anything from the midwife yet - really wish I'd asked how long it would be when I called the drs.

toots123 · 24/06/2014 08:55

I think I'll be 11 weeka but going by scan at the weekend I might be nearer 10+4

I told the midwife I had longer cycles which is why I wont be 12 weeks. They think im 12 weeks so I hope they dont thinj baby is small and date me properly

MademoiselleG · 24/06/2014 09:05

Don't worry fancy, they would have told you if there was anything to worry about!
