One I had this last week. It lasted for a couple of days so I went to EPU for a scan just to be sure, everything was fine. I think bright red blood is the scary kind. But have a scan if you can, the peace of mind is priceless

bedsidemanor · 18/06/2014 14:37

Sorry to hear you're feeling blue henrietta. I get like that every so often, especially when I've had a miserable day of MS! Is there someone sympathetic you can have a good moan to? That often helps! Otherwise, maybe an evening stroll/ good film might be nice and at least offer a diversion to feeling sick all the time Smile. I'm sure it'll all get better once the second trimester arrives (it better do!).

Got scan tomorrow not till 11.45 dreading it now just want it over and done with

Monstamio · 18/06/2014 16:03

Hi everyone, Thanks so much for all the well wishes. Scan went well and we got to see a wonderfully active, wriggly baby! It was the most exciting thing ever! I've been put forward a bit again so have a new edd of 28th Dec. So bloody relieved and feel I can actually start looking forward to things now.

For anyone who's worrying about losing symptoms - I also noticed boobs deflating over the past couple of weeks, combined with MS and other symptoms easing. I got into a right state this morning and convinced myself that it was going to be bad news again. But it couldn't really have gone better tbh.

And yy to everything Mads said above. With my MMC I had MS right up until d-day. So please try not to worry.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 18/06/2014 16:10

Thank you for the advice all. I've also had some very mild pulling sensations but I have had a slight dicky tummy today so not sure if it's that. When I had the early reassurance scan at 7 weeks, bean was definitely in the right place and had a good strong heartbeat that we could see so clearly so I'm trying to convince myself I'm over thinking things. Nonetheless, have taken your advice and booked in for another private scan on Sunday (I'll be paying for one every few weeks at this rate!) and hopefully it'll be good news. I really didn't think I would ever 'miss' the MS!

Loobyloo893 · 18/06/2014 16:13

Aw that's lovely monstamio.

I got my scan date through today, 14th July. Seems like ages away although we do have our nifty one on 4th July so only two weeks to that one Smile

Camsie30 · 18/06/2014 16:17

Gingy will be thinking of you and hoping for the best xx

Saraswati · 18/06/2014 16:19

great news monstamio ! and moved forward too, I think thats pretty much happened to everyone so far? We are all growing monster babies!

Sorry for all those worrying - even though I've still been puking my other symptoms like sore boobs have definitely reduced since about 10 weeks, but I know it's so difficult not to worry.

ViviPru · 18/06/2014 16:31

Yay Monsta great news! Yep sounds like we're all being dated earlier, Sara 26th, me 27th and now you 28th! What's the betting we'll still all be waddling well into January though.

Saraswati · 18/06/2014 16:43

yep i think so too Vivi! although my family have decided it'll be born on new years day because my DH's bday is 30th dec and my auntie on 31st so we need another one to complete the awkward birthday trio! My brother's birthday is 10 days before christmas and my sister in law's 10 days after so december is always a really expensive month for my family and i'm going to make it worse!! They all laughed their heads off when I told them the due date :s

fingers crossed for you tomorrow gingy

LadyCottington · 18/06/2014 16:59

Great news, Monstamio!

I'm loving all the scan news now that I have my date! Next Friday the 27th! Any one else got the same day? I so excited, hopefully I'll be able to contain myself for the next week.

I hoping my date will stay the same. The midwife gave me the 2nd of Jan but that's working it out with a 28 day cycle. Mine are 35 days, so the date I figured should be better (the 9th). I always moan about DH's birthday being the week before Christmas so I can't believe we timed this so close.

I took the day off work today. I woke up far too early feeling miserable then I kept throwing up and I couldn't even keep water down. It's the second day I've taken off in the past few weeks Blush I'm sure work have figured out I'm pregnant by now. I'm not sure how long I can keep telling them my migraines are getting worse! My boss is off all next week so my plan of running in after the scan with the photo isn't going to work. I'll have to keep the news until the week after. It's killing me!

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow, gingy and we can have some more good news Smile

trying29 · 18/06/2014 17:15

been lurking for a while just havent posted - i had scan yesterday but was put back 3 days. saw baby move and heartbeat, but everyone seems to be talking about dates moving forward. im assuming its ok for the date to go back a couple of days? am going in next week so they can run the nuchal test properly - said baby was 1mm too small to do

j200 · 18/06/2014 17:28

Thanks ladies for reassurance, even though I know chance of m/c drops with heartbeat post 9 weeks am still so nervous! Having lots of scan clinics close by also makes it tempting....

Trying I was put back 4 days from where I thought I was, made me worry too as I knew exact ovulation date as I conceived on fertility treatment. Doc said don't worry it's common to move date and main thing is heartbeat and that it grows at normal rate x

blizy · 18/06/2014 17:28

Tryin,I had an early scan at 7+3 weeks last Wednesday. However my dates were put back a week, I'm hoping wee button catches up for my scan next Friday!

Looby, my 12 week scan is the 14th July too.

Thinking of you for tomorrow gingy.

ViviPru · 18/06/2014 17:29

trying if anything I'd prefer the date to be later - means they'll not be banging on about induction so soon. Welcome to the thread!

Lady my MW gave me 2nd Jan initially as EDD too, but my cycles are shorter, which she didn't take into account.... Ah well, I suppose it's all very unscientific anyway. I guess they'll come when most inconvenient they come!

j200 · 18/06/2014 17:33

Ladies who are already mums, do you worry less second time around? Not sure I could go through all this again....

RPopz · 18/06/2014 18:05

Great news Mon!

Thanks for the pep talk Madrigals - I'm getting a bit obsessed thinking about mmc the closer to my scan I get!! Yet I never even knew it existed until mumsnet so I guess its pretty rare! Just needed some perspective x
