gingysmummy · 17/06/2014 13:48

Great news Sara's
Forgot to say mw wasn't concerned about my bleed she said sometimes it just happens for no reason, hope she's right

Monstamio · 17/06/2014 13:50

That sounds very positive Gingys - glad it all went ok.

sleepisforthetired · 17/06/2014 13:56

Mslad so sorry to see you news. Hope you are having support from family/friends x

Camsie30 · 17/06/2014 14:13

I just had a 10 week scan for the Harmony test, but turns out I'm actually 9+6 so I have to come back in a few days. Saw the baby and it was having a right old fun time in there, moving around like no one's business. They've given me the print out which just looks like a fuzzy blur really!

LulusMiniEgg · 17/06/2014 16:17

Great news Sara and Camsie! My scan is on Friday and I'm starting to feel v nervous and excited at the same time.

Just had a full caffeine earl grey, felt so naughty after drinking decaf for the last 2 months but tastes so flipping good! Hopefully the caffeine will make the last hourish if work go fast too!x

ViviPru · 17/06/2014 16:26

Sara yay great news! And how about that your EDD jumping so far earlier like mine did! We're still going to tell everyone New Year's Eve though, cba with all the asking if it's come yet all over Xmas!!

Camsie how frustrating being so close yet having to wait a bit longer! Made me smile about the pic. There's a funny line in that fatherhood book we were talking about upthread that says the scan resembles a 'photocopy of a photocopy of an artists impression of a stoat' which pretty much sums it up!!

Gingys glad to hear your MW has put your mind at ease.

Saraswati · 17/06/2014 16:40

vivi I was really surprised because it measured a day behind at my 9 week scan and now is 5 days ahead, even with all my vomiting and weight loss it's obviously getting what it needs! My first EDD was DHs birthday but I think we will tell people the real date of Boxing Day, loads of my family members have awkward Christmas birthdays and have always made me promise I would avoid it with my children, so I think it's pretty funny!! The sonographer said Christmas Day at first and DH yelled 'it's Jesus' (he thinks he's funny) the sonographer didn't look very impressed!! But after some other measurements she decided Boxing Day.

Have had a completely unproductive day at work, we are off to tell my mum tonight, we are just going to turn up on her doorstep and tell her. I can't wait to see her face!!

Sorry for the me, me, me post I'm just so excited I can't think today!

I think if you're ever entitled to a me me me post on mumsnet it's the day of your first scan!! Lolz @ Jesus that's just the kind of 'hilarious' thing my DH would come out with.

Meep so exciting telling your Mum tonight, we really are alike, we did the same as you with our engagement. Just rocking up and telling her. Has she any other GDCs? My mum has 7 but I'm the baby and she was beside herself when we told her after my scan last week.

The sonographer kindly gave us 4 different scan pics (even though we'd only paid for 1) and when we showed my mum, DH told her it was a picture of each of the 4 babies. It was hysterical, she went white and screamed, I thought she was going to have a seizure....

Saraswati · 17/06/2014 17:43

vivi we are so alike actually! we did the same when we got engaged! She has 3 other grandchildren ranging in age from 13 to 3, I have an older brother, she's very close to him and them. I live a bit further away, only an hour so I really hope she will be close to my baby too. Lol at your DH that's the kind of thing mine would do!

Camsie30 · 17/06/2014 17:46

Madrigals, no the woman at FMC was so sweet and we were both laughing at the jumping bean! Don't have to pay twice, phew!

Fab news Saras.

One of my friends told me today she was 7 weeks pregnant. Even though we haven't told anyone else yet I couldn't help myself saying "me too, me too" Smile she's due 10days after me.

LadyCottington · 17/06/2014 20:51

Hey ladies, I haven't been round much after my holiday but I've finally caught up!

I had my booking in appointment last week and apart from not peeing enough for the sample (I was throwing up water earlier!) it went pretty well. I really thought I was going to get a scan date the and there but apparently I have to wait for a letter in the post. I've been running to the mail box every day but nothing has come through yet Sad I actually just got a bit teary reading about all your scans! DH wants to get a private one just to shut me up, but it would mean going to Bristol which is an hour and a half away. If nothing comes by the end of the week I think I'll ring the gp and ask what's going on.

I'm 11+4 today and I'm starting to get a bit of a tummy! Just looks like I've been eating all the pies rather than a proper bump! Any else notice their shape changing? My hips seemed to have slimmed down a bit, not that I'm complaining. Wish my boobs would get bigger though.

ChineseFireball · 17/06/2014 20:54

We had our scan today - one wriggly hiccuppy wavy bean in there looking fine. Nuchal measurement was 1.8mm which is ok. Feeling very relieved! Grin Also have had my date brought forward one day to boxing day. I think I will be keeping my legs crossed!

12+4

KeepOnPloddingOn · 17/06/2014 21:03

lady my hips are bigger - as are my boobs though so I cant complain! I am showing too at 11+5 :)

chinese glad all went well!

Camsie30 · 17/06/2014 21:04

Chinese that's wonderful!
