My ms has finally eased this week although really tired still. On a mid-week break so having a nice relax, last week was exhausting as dd ill and really stressful trying to get her to drink a rancid orange flavour penicillin, on top of having no sleep.
Can't recall who asked but I didn't have bloods during booking in. Mine will be done on day of scan at hospital. Hoping the appointment had arrived by the time I get home. In 10 + 3 today.
Good luck today vivi, enjoy seeing your baby.

vivi I had a strong constant tugging cramp yesterday, all day. I'm sure its just ligaments (fr me) but as others have said you know your own body. Get it checked if you are concerned :) sure all is ok !

chinese and dec ouch rough nights for you two :/ hope you get the chane of a nap today. Take it easy. My dh is up with my dd this morn. First lie in I have had in weeks and I cant sleep- argh! Had a nice coffee in bed though. 11+1 today! Time is flying...

Saraswati · 13/06/2014 07:19

Morning all, good luck vivi the cramps eased last night and I slept well. I have my scan on tues so think I'll wait until then as I don't think I'd get another appointment any sooner and I didn't have any bleeding I think I was overreacting a little. I had a really bad sickness day yesterday and I just feel like I've pulled all my tummy muscles. DH finally called me and was really worried, hopefully he will check his phone more often now!! He came in and woke me up by kissing my tummy and whispering to the baby so of course I had a little cry! He's not so bad after all.

Right 11+3 just got to make it through the weekend then it's d day 8am tues Shock

Monstamio · 13/06/2014 07:24

I also had bloods taken at my booking appt but I don't think you have to consent to it if you don't want to. Off the top of my head they will use it to check blood group and rhesus status (which might be in your medical notes somewhere already). Other that that they check for HIV, syphilis and rubella immunity. So it's up to you in terms of risks. Personally I'm certain I dont have the former and if I am susceptible to rubella they cant do anything about it anyway, just tell me to avoid coming into contact with the disease. Something to think about anyway if you are really worried.

Sara hope the cramps are easing today. If not do contact your mw. I've also had the pulling feeling that keepon describes.

Good luck with your scan today vivi Smile

Happy Friday folks!

Sorry to hear your sad news, English and Live.

I am feeling really fed up of this whole thing already, don't know how I'm supposed to go on another seven months! I feel so grumpy today, it's been the busiest week at work in ages and I'm so tired I could cry. I have forgotten what it's like to not feel sick. Whinge whinge whinge. I have no idea how you people with children already are coping!

On the other hand, my partner has been lovely and I've barely had to lift a finger. He was trying to get me to eat nutritious meals but has finally accepted that I am living on baked beans mostly. It's weird, I never usually eat them!

Looking forward to my booking in appointment on Monday, and getting a scan date soon.

RPopz · 13/06/2014 07:45

Glad you're feeling better this morning Saras Thanks

Bugaboom · 13/06/2014 08:11

Is anyone else really struggling to conceal their bump? I'm 10+1 and have two more weeks at work before my scan in my week off and it is getting increasingly difficult to hide my bump. I don't really want to buy new clothes to bridge the gap before I get out the maternity gear.

katniss this trimester is the worse. In my first pregnancy I remember 14/15 weeks were a real turning point. Having really struggled to concentrate a work I was suddenly really productive. Hang in there!

Hope all those with kids got a better night sleep. I was up to ds a couple of times but he had a lie until 6:20 so that's something I suppose!

Foxtrot7459 · 13/06/2014 08:21

I've just spoken to the midwife about my bleeding which has continued through to this morning. I was told it's fairly common and to keep monitoring it. If it's gets worse or heavier then to go to my GP.

Even though its common it doesn't stop you worrying!

gingysmummy · 13/06/2014 08:36

Anyone else suffering from really bad hayfever? Mine os awful
Just now gp said I will just have to suffer! My eyes look like pig eyes, snot is flowing and the bridge of my nose is so swollen Hmm serves me right for living in the country I suppose

ViviPru · 13/06/2014 08:37

Thanks for all the well wishes, the sun is shining, it's (my) lucky 13th of the month and feeling positive! Will report back imminently! Thanks

gingy my hayfever is driving me insane just now aswell. Never thought I'd be jealous of my kids but giving them piriton and not being able to take any myself is annoying me, lol

lindamagoo · 13/06/2014 08:49

Good luck Vivi Smile

gingysmummy · 13/06/2014 08:53

Oh yes to the hayfever, it's driving me mad!
Vivi. Good luck for today, hope little bean is jumping around!
My 12 week scan is ages away, not until 14th July, but I do have another at the EPU 2 weeks today.
I've been feeling so sick this week, got myself some sea bands. Only foods I can stomache are Heinz chicken soup, wotsits, apples and cola. I'm really craving salty savoury things.

cheshirem2b · 13/06/2014 11:09

Happy Friday ladies!
Good luck vivi
livvy don't worry - the mw and doctors will make sure baby is ok. apparently loads of women have strep B without knowing about it so I am sure you and baby will be fine. Thanks

I feel sick most mornings but only seem to be sick on a Friday! Happened last week and this morning. I wonder if it is to do with the end of the working week and me being shattered? Ah well, nothing compared to what some of you ladies put up with!

DH is out most of tomorrow so hopefully I can relax in the sunshine in the garden. Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine where you are!

lindamagoo · 13/06/2014 11:15

No sunshine here, it's pouring down Hmm

blizy · 13/06/2014 11:38

Same here Linda, are you in Glasgow?

lindamagoo · 13/06/2014 12:04

I'm in Fife, don't think we are in for as good a weekend as down south Hmm

blizy · 13/06/2014 12:13

Unfortunately not Hmm
I have a tonne of family in Fife, spent most of my summers as a kid with them.

ViviPru · 13/06/2014 12:18

All good in the 'Pru hood!! There's definitely a human in there! Strong beating heart and long loooong spiders legs (and a couple of arms too!) and thankfully just the ONE.

Sonographer was a dude, it was chatty and relaxed and fun in there. He spent ages on the nuchal fold measurement as his first attempt showed 0.88 which he said while very reassuring for us, might be flagged up as an anomaly or error as it's so low, so although he was confident it was accurate he thought it was worth remeasuring to see if he could get slightly higher figure. It was still very low though, so I'm feeling hugely relieved.

Can breathe normally (for now) and look forward to sharing our news!!

blizy · 13/06/2014 12:29

Fab news vivi Grin
