Oh and he dated me at 11+6 (I calculate 11+1 from LMP) and EDD of 27 Dec instead of 31st that I calculated! Well still tell everyone new year though Smile

ViviPru · 13/06/2014 12:29

Thanks blitzy!

rumisyum · 13/06/2014 12:31

Hurrah, ViviPru! What excellent news. Smile

I've also got hayfever - so annoying! My GP told me it's fine to use the Beconase nasal spray, so I've been taking that & it helps!

Sorry to hear about the strep, but at least they caught it now & will be able to look after you & baby really well.

Just had my booking in appointment! Feel super excited now - like I'm Officially Pregnant. Grin Taking myself off for lunch & a bit of work-appropriate, expanding-boob&bump-concealing shopping in celebration.

Anyone got any fun plans for the weekend?

Mslad · 13/06/2014 12:47

Yay Vivi you must be delighted Smile and rumi glad the booking app went well.

I can't believe some of you are surviving on so little sleep! it's so impressive.

I have friends coming to visit for the weekend. And weirdly I'm nervous about telling them my news. I would rather have waited till after the scan, it feels like it's tempting fate, but there's no way I can conceal not drinking all weekend, my big stomach and tiredness. Also, I think they (they're a couple) will be slightly disappointed. Whenever they told me of other friends of theirs becoming pregnant, there was always a sense of 'we've lost them to boringness now' and as we're a couple of years older then them, I think they looked to us as the couple not having kids and focusing on career/parting instead. I'm sure they'll be lovely about it, but I still feel weirdly nervous. I'm annoying myself!

cheshirem2b · 13/06/2014 13:23

Vivi Great news about your little bean! I cannot wait to be in your position and be able to tell people finally!
rum glad the apt went well! enjoy your shopping!

lindamagoo · 13/06/2014 13:30

Great news Vivi Smile

Blizy all my family are through in Glasgow and Coatbridge, that's where I spent my summer holidays Smile

RPopz · 13/06/2014 13:35

Brilliant news Vivi Grin Are you telling people now or waiting for your Downs risk?

Bit jealous of the bumpy ladies! I just look a bit porky in the gut area and thankfully people have been too polite to bring it up! Grin

I have a early scan on Monday morning and won't be able to make it to work on time I haven't told work am pg yet as hoping for a payrise after my review next month any tips on a excuse or should I just tell them x

RPopz · 13/06/2014 13:45

Could you book the morning off? They can't legally refuse you a payrise just for being pregnant! x

Ikkleme · 13/06/2014 13:52

Not really it's too short notice x

mummyk8 · 13/06/2014 14:24

Hello all, had my booking in appointment. The whole appointment was just a never ending list of form filling. I was slightly disappointed they didn't listen to the heartbeat or even dip my urine. The midwife was in general rather rude about almost everything from my being over weight to the fact I couldn't remember my mobile number and even about the gap between this baby and my son (who will be 12 by the time this one is born). I cried the whole walk home feeling like a total idiot. Sad

cheshirem2b · 13/06/2014 14:51

mummyk8 that's really sad. You shouldn't have to have a rude mw... perhaps she was just having a bad day? cheer yourself up with a brew Brew

ViviPru · 13/06/2014 15:02

Thanks everyone! RPopz we've decided we are going to tell our parents, and 2 best friends as we are seeing them this weekend. I think we'll possibly hold off from sharing further until we have risk results. The NT measurement being so low while I know isn't conclusive has given me reassurance enough to tell those closest to us and I think we'd be grateful for their support anyway should things not unfold as hoped.

Just catching up...

Vivi great news Smile I would be skipping and telling everyone I met well I nearly have already lol

So sorry to hear of losses and bleeding, thoughts with you all xx

I'm on the countdown to my scan too, one week Tuesday and I hope it goes quickly, these 12 weeks have felt sooo long!

Yay Vivi!!! Grin Whoop! Think that's our first 12 week scan isn't it? They'll be coming in thick and fast now!

Mummyk8 - so sorry about your disappointing booking appointment. Doesn't sound very supportive Sad Not listening to the heartbeat is normal at the first appointment btw. In fact some MWs won't do it at all. Apparently it can be v hard to find, especially in the early days, which leads to needless panic so don't worry on that score.

She should have asked you for a urine sample though. They usually want one of these at every appointment I believe to check for UTIs and diabetes. Though they won't use it to check you are pregnant - they just take your word for that!

Saraswati · 13/06/2014 18:39

Yay vivi that's brilliant news!! I think we'll start having all the 12 week scans now, how exciting. Mine is on Tuesday along with a couple of others on here. Made my excuses at work this morning, hopefully I'll only be a little bit late in, however if it's bad news I don't think I'll be able to go in and if it's good news I won't be able to contain my smile and will probably google prams all day Grin

Well I haven't been sick all day and I feel like doing a victory dance! It seems to have shifted to every other day now which I can cope with. No more scary cramps today either, just going to claw my way through the weekend and then hopefully Tuesday will bring good news. Is anyone else just completed zapped by this heat? I found work so difficult today I kept on going to the loo to run my hands under cold water just to cool down!

RPopz · 13/06/2014 18:58

My 12 week scan is a week on Weds. Can't bloody wait!!

ChineseFireball · 13/06/2014 19:16

Huzzah Vivi wonderful news!

Well today hasn't been too bad despite having had very little sleep. Nausea has been a little less all-consuming (yay). Did my stuff in town this morning then we glammed it up in Asda caff for lunch. DS was adamant he didn't need a na....zzzzzz (quiet air punch) and slept for an hour :-D

I've mainly vegged out this afternoon after DS woke at about 3. DH did toddler teatime and I got to finish the leftovers (well I am up the duff, after all). Hurray for bob the builder spaghetti shapes!

And now the best news. Pizza Hut are doing a bbq pulled pork pizza. I am having that for dinner tonight. Yes I am.

11+6!!!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 13/06/2014 20:18

vivi fab news :) I remember being in awe of my dds limbs- she was- and is- so long legged. So happy all went well for you :)

I am also feeling truly zapped by the eat and was retching in the street today. Glamorous. Its odd as my symptoms have really subsided , except for the exceptionally sore boobs. However, every now and again- boom! Nausea strikes me down, bleurgh.

I have my scan a week on monday too :) sooooo excited.

ilovelamp78 · 13/06/2014 20:41

Fab news Vivipru may that be the first of many! Xx

gingysmummy · 13/06/2014 20:54

Def think I'm having a mc. Had really bad cramps last night but put it down to wind, started up again with bleeding when I go to toilet . Can't do anything till mon till epu opens up again. Going to be a long worrying weekend I'm afraid
