So sorry to hear your news Live Flowers

Rachelcarpe · 12/06/2014 20:50

I had some light bleeding today panicked and called the doctor. They passed me on to the midwife and I have an appointment in the morning for a scan to check everything is ok. It's stopped now and I have no pain or cramps, but was very scared. The midwife was very reassuring but did send me home from work to rest until my check up. Perhaps give your midwife a call? X

toots123 · 12/06/2014 20:52

Can anyone link me to the stats? :)

Monstamio · 12/06/2014 21:05

I had my booking appt today and the midwife was so lovely. Really reassuring and apparently there's a chance she might actually get to deliver my baby. To have that continuity would be amazing I realise there is only a very slim chance of this actually happening.

My usually low blood pressure is getting ridiculous now though. I was down to 90/46 this afternoon. Think I'm going to have to start mainlining salt! Midwife didn't seem bothered though.

I'm happy to report that I've now also become a fruit bat... such a relief after weeks of only fancying crap. I've eaten a whole massive bag of cherries today plus strawberries and a banana. Grapes and melon tonorrow. Yum Grin

Saraswati · 12/06/2014 21:13

Having some major cramping tonight that I haven't had for a few weeks. I'm trying not to freak out :s I felt awful today too so I have no idea what is going on. Bloody DH is out and not answering his phone. He's terrible for not looking at his phone for ages when he's at work or out and I gave him a massive lecture the other week about how he has to remember to check it now I'm pregnant as he may need to get to me quickly if something bad happens. But of course because he's in the pub watching the football he will have totally forgotten what I said Angry

I thought cramping pains would have calmed down by now?

rumisyum · 12/06/2014 21:23

Live, I'm so very sorry. I hope you're being taken good care of and all the best for the future.

Sorry your DH isn't responding, Saras, mine can be like that too. Hmm I hope the cramping settles soon, but I know I still get quite a bit on and off.

mummyk8 · 12/06/2014 21:28

Saraswati I had cramping on and off with DS for the first 4 months and all was fine. But everyone is different and the most important thing I learnt with my last pregnancy is that you know your body better than anyone and if your worried get it checked out. Hope your feeling better.

I have my booking appointment tomorrow and am really rubbish with needles (rubbish being an enormous understatement ). I have been stressed all day about it. Any how just had someone tell me they don't do blood tests here ... did all of you who have had your booking in appointment already have your bloods taken?

Foxtrot7459 · 12/06/2014 21:37

Evening all - I am after some advice please? TMI alert

I am 10+4 and over the last couple of days have noticed blood when I have wiped after going to the toilet. This has sometimes been red, reddish brown and also brown. It's not been consistenly getting browner, it can be brown and then next time red. There is nothing in my knickers, only when I wipe. I am getting pretty worried about it now and will probably call the midwife in the morning. Can anyone offer any advice if this is the best thing to do, thanks.

Camsie30 · 12/06/2014 21:41

Hi Foxtrot, I had the same thing over the weekend and was anxious so went to the EPU for a scan and everything was fine. I think bright Ted blood is when they start to really worry, but I would recommend having it checked out to reassure yourself x

Saraswati · 12/06/2014 21:44

mummyk thanks I think if it's like this in the morning I'll call the mw it's the strongest cramps I've had for weeks and has taken me a bit by surprise. No blood just normal white discharge (eurgh) so I hope it stays that way. I was just a bit worried because I've felt a bit strange/ill today but I know that doesn't mean much either. Sorry you're so nervous about bloods, I had my blood taken during my booking in appointment. I remember someone on this thread didn't have them done because they are needle phobic and I think she had them done later on? I can't remember who it was sorry.

Foxtrot7459 · 12/06/2014 21:45

Thanks Camsie - Do you know if you have to be referred to EPU or if you can just refer yourself? Do you just turn up or call and book in?

sunshineandbiscuits · 12/06/2014 21:46

live really sorry to hear your sad news Thanks

foxtrot I would absolutely call the midwife first thing in the morning.

mummy I had my booking in appointment today and they didn't take any blood. I had to make a separate appointment for bloods at my GP next week. However, I've heard that it varies between different areas and some places do take blood at the booking.

10 weeks today, nice to be in double figures. Got my scan appointment letter today, 30th June when I'll be 12+5. I'll be glad to get there. Big hugs to everyone who's having a rough time today plus Brew and Cake

Camsie30 · 12/06/2014 21:56

I just called them directly, the hospital that I'm due to go to for my 12 week appt so they had my details on file x

mummyk8 · 12/06/2014 22:09

Foxtrot7459 i had almost he same thing for the first 9 weeks - I'm now 10+4 and (hopefully) all is well. I went to the early scan unit at my local hospital. Here it runs between 8am and 9am you just turn up and as long as you less than 14 weeks and have had bad pains/cramps or bleeding and take a positive pregnancy test that morning they will scan you no referral needed. But everywhere is different, maybe try Googleing yours? Saraswati Maybe you could do the same. I can't see it doing any harm.

sunshineandbiscuits Thank you. I'll keep my fingers crossed they won't do it tomorrow so I can arrange for someone to be with me when they do.

ilovelamp78 · 12/06/2014 22:09

Sending love to english and live

mummyk8 I had my booking appointment today and the midwife took bloods. I guess it just depends on how things are organised in your area?!?

foxtrot you should definitely call someone if you are concerned. I hope all is well x

RPopz · 12/06/2014 22:15

Saras - I had strong AF like pains for about 2 weeks solid after my bfp. Then on and off (usually in the evenings) for another couple of weeks. Now I get cramps/ pains intermittently but not regularly which generally subside if I rest a little. Think the advice I got was if they're strong enough to require painkillers then see the gp/ midwife. Obvs also if there's bleeding. Hopefully its just a womby growth spurt! Hope you're ok - my DH never answers his phone either and yet the thing is never out of his bloody hand when I'm with him!! Angry Angry

ViviPru · 12/06/2014 22:18

Lots of love and masses of Cake to everyone dealing with sad news or worrying symptoms today. Thinking of you all.

1st scan tomorrow (11+1 official nhs dating scan/nt screen) feeling a bit at sixes and sevens...

Ikkleme · 12/06/2014 22:21

Sara I am the same as you spoke to midwife today and she's booked me in for early scan on Monday...she said if I keep getting them or any bleeding to go straight to a&e

LuluJakey1 · 12/06/2014 22:37

Sorry to hear sad news from some Sad Hope you feel better soon but I think it will take a while.

I have been cross all day about nothing. Came home from work and did not speak to DH in car. I knew he would not let me get away with that. He said quietly in the kitchen ' What's wrong Lu? I want to know loveQ' and I just started to cry...and cry....and cry. I was trying to explain and I could hear myself sounding like a child who had no idea why they were crying. He was great.

Anyway, I feel better and we are friends again and I love him again. We have been cuddled up watching the fotball. I am tired from crying so have come to bed.

I am not a big crier but I've been quick to cry the last few weeks- and over nowt as we say up here.

ChineseFireball · 13/06/2014 04:10

So sorry to hear sad news, liveinabox Sad thinking of you x

I'm currently in the spare bed in DS' bedroom because he's had a rubbish night. Been grizzling on and off for about 3 hours. Yawn. Tomorrow (well today) is going to be fun fun fun!

Those of you wondering how you do being pregnant when you already have a child - I have no idea! You just sort of do. The feeling shattered thing absorbs the extra feeling shattered because the child isn't sleeping. I have made more use of cbeebies than I would like but needs must. Plus MS is an excellent excuse for not changing any pooey nappies Grin haven't wiped a pooey bum for about 4 weeks. Scorrrrre! It helps that DH is quite useful. I think I'll keep him.

Right. I think DS has gone back to sleep (DH certainly has - can hear the snoring from here) so I'm off back to my bed to get a couple of hours before getting up time. Weather forecast is good for the morning so might just veg out at the park or in the garden. Some chores to do in town first though.

11+6. 4 days (not including today) until scan. Bloody terrified.

Dec2013mummy · 13/06/2014 04:44

chinese I'm up too... I have so far got a total of an hours sleep broken up. Poor Ds has a high temp and horrible cough... Doctors tomorrow (or today) I think. Sorry to hear your Ds is poorly too. I agree. I have no idea how you cope, like you say you have no choice but to I suppose so you just do!

Sorry to hear all of the sad news. Sending hugs to anyone that has had bad news or is worrying right now. I had awful craps yesterday and the day before but as I am I'll too and sneezing no end I put it down to that.
sunshine my scan is the 30th too. I will be 13 + 1. Was supposed to be the 23rd but Dh can't make it as he has an interview.
