Just spoke to mw and I have a early scan on Monday morning... Not impressed it's so long away

MademoiselleG · 12/06/2014 13:14

Oh guys, oh guys, oh guys...
...

What a day and night we've all had! I really hope that all of you with non sleeping dc have a much better night tonight. (and I am not suggesting you give them Calpol or anti-histamines that make them drowsy at all...nonononono....)

I had an awful day yesterday too - I wonder what it was?! - and feel much better today after going to bed at 8:30. I think I fell asleep before dd!!

Big hugs to you all. We are ALL making little miracles happen. Some of it is utter shit and exhausting and emotional, but in the bigger scheme of things: still a miracle. Thanks Thanks

Monstamio · 12/06/2014 13:31

Careful Mademoiselle - you'll be setting me off in a minute Wink

Dec2013mummy · 12/06/2014 13:45

Argghhhh madam so so true :) that made me smile. I can't watch OBEM as I have a proper fear of childbirth, in my last pregnancy I had panic attacks almost everyday about it! Stupid I know!

On the tear front I have been a bit softer than a usual day.

I made the mistake of watching Seven Pounds (Will Smith film) - I was a wreck.

haquoi123 · 12/06/2014 14:08

Gah, seven pounds is hard work without the emotions!!

I've just got the rage on today. Someone refused to sell me something the doctor said was ok. 5 mins later I wwalked out of the shop with it. Whoops!

Bohemond · 12/06/2014 14:19

Sorry for all you ladies feeling yukky.

Lulu can absolutely identify with the rage - I am sure DP is being a PITA though. Probably due to the scariness of actually having a baby which has all been hypothetical to date.

Just got back from scan - lovely male sonographer at Bristol Spire hospital. All is well. I apparently have a 'lovely womb' that is easy to scan. The little bean is the right size for 7+5 and was throbbing wildly. Poor man had to offer me a tissue.

One of the best £99 I have spent - in and out in 10 mins and I got printed pictures and files on a stick.

rumisyum · 12/06/2014 14:45

Gah, now you've set me off, bohemond. I'm so pleased for you.

My smug happiness at not being hit too badly by ms has come back to bite me in the backside yesterday and today. I might just lie here, moaning weakly, and catching up on OBEM at your suggestions. And I have NO IDEA how those of you with small children already survive this. But I do want more than one, so I guess I'll have to learn!

Also, now I'm craving a magnum. How does this nausea + starving hungry thing work exactly? It's doing my head in.

bedsidemanor · 12/06/2014 15:00

Glad your scan went well bohemond!

Also, if you're feeling a bit emotional at the moment, definitely don't look at this page 32 Pictures That Will Change the Way You See the World. I was in floods of tears at my desk!

Got a quick question - I've seen some of you mention a 9/10 week hormone surge. Can I ask how long it has lasted? I had an awful day of MS on Tuesday and even popped my throwing-up-at-work cherry and was wondering if that could have been it or whether it should have lasted longer? Confused

littlecat123 · 12/06/2014 15:08

Reading all the posts about scan dates with so much jealously. I'm 10+1 and only just got my booking appointment for the coming Tuesday cos I rang the doctors to complain that I'm going to miss my 12 week scan. Would love to have a scan date to look forward to Sad went to my GP 5 weeks ago about pg!

Saraswati · 12/06/2014 15:26

bedside 11+2 over here and still feeling horrid, sorry! I've had a few good days thrown in so it's not all bad, 9 weeks was particularly tough. However I seem to have had a bad dose of ms compared to others (I'm not bitter honest) so I wouldn't compare yourself to me!

littlecat that is rubbish service from your doctor, if it were me I would complain (but then I'm a bit like that!!) I have to say mine have been really good (they are usually shite) although in my area you call and book your 12 week scan yourself after booking in so I think that helped. I have an appointment for my 20 week scan too, they have been pretty efficient but I think I'm the only one on here who's got that.

mad and bohemond you've made me teary at work! Great news bohemond hope you are basking in the sunshine and happiness!!

bohemond excellent news! Enjoy the afternoon sunshine with a smile of your face!

I've been in a mood this week as well - happy one minute and stroppy the next! DH is being very good about it and just ignoring me as much as he can!

littlecat I think every area is different. I had to book to see mw (gp wasn't interested) and then she referred for scan. After 12 week scan I then call for 16week mw apt and then she refers me for the 20 week scan! If only every hospital area was consistent!

littlecat123 · 12/06/2014 16:42

Thanks saraswati and cheshire it's all been a bit of a fuss really having appointments booked on bank holidays etc. Me being the one who realises not this not them! Hoping once I have my booking appointment things will be in full swing finally! Smile

ilovelamp78 · 12/06/2014 16:48

Yay Bohemond I've been the Bristol contingent on here for ages, it's good to have company! I also went to the Spire in Tuesday for my scan. Great service I agree. Shame I'm not made of money or I'd be tempted to go again and again and again!!

Dec2013mummy · 12/06/2014 16:58

bedside I'm sat here, all blocked up, feeling rubbish with poorly Ds asleep on me, trying hard not to wail at those pictures. That last one was so powerful! Wow....

LiveInABox · 12/06/2014 18:03

Hi everyone, just a quick message to ask if someone could take me off the stats please. Started bleeding yesterday and a scan confirmed that the baby died before 8 weeks (probably only a couple of days after we saw a healthy heartbeat on our reassurance scan). I'm doing ok and hope to be back on another 2015 bus soon! Wishing you all healthy & happy pregnancies x

Minibagel · 12/06/2014 18:14

Oh no english and liveinabox that is such sad news.

I am getting increasingly nervous about my scan at 9+5 on Monday...

lindamagoo · 12/06/2014 18:22
