My DS was up from 11-3 last night being sick everywhere. Ran out of sheets and pjs so washing machine was on in middle of the night. He decided he didn't want to be sick in a bowl so it was everywhere, including over me. He always seems to get ill when DH is away. Today is going to be a tough day!

Buga do I contact them through my midwife?

blizy · 12/06/2014 07:44

Ikkle, I would phone your midwife or contact the hospital, most EPU's allow you to self refer. I hope everything is ok.

Ikkle- if you already have a midwife give them a call. EPU should have a number on their hospital website in which case call them directly and they'll tell what to do. Hope you speak to someone soon.

Standing room only on my train. Tempted to stick my bump out, unlike the rest of the day when I desperately try to hide it!

Camsie30 · 12/06/2014 08:17

Ikkle definitely call EPU, having had a little scare myself this week I can't tell you how reassuring it was to have a scan and see that everything was fine. You know your body and if you feel off then get checked out. And don't panic! Fingers crossed everything will be perfect in there xxx

Camsie30 · 12/06/2014 08:23

Warning: do not watch One Born Every Minute whist getting ready for work. I've just cried off the make up that I just applied!!!

I watched OBEM last night, not one tear was shed. However I was sobbing like a baby at the new planet of the apes film trailer, figure that one out!

I've hit a very emotional part of pregnancy now aswell, spent most of yesterday in tears, had to record OBEM cause I knew it wouldn't be a good idea

9 + 2

Saraswati · 12/06/2014 11:00

Ha mslad I thought the same thing! I don't know how I'd cope with this pregnancy and another child, hats off to you ladies!

After a great day of no sickness yesterday this morning has been vomit-o-Rama. I was even sick in a bin on my way to work in front of a large queue of traffic, never been so embarrassed in all my life!! Pregnancy is so glamorous. I've had to eat a whole packet of scotch pancakes to make myself feel better :)

11+2 today, when does it get better?!?

This baby maybe an only child! Thanks mad hope your nausea eases soon. My friend had really bad sickness and has only just started to feel better at 15 weeks (she doesn't know I'm just 4 weeks behind her teehee!) but I was hoping it would be improving by now if not totally gone! I keep thinking next week it'll get better, then next week rolls in to the week after and so on. Oh well only 5 days until my scan, DH is getting very excited and I'm trying to hold him back a bit as I feel cautious then I feel mean for putting a dampener on his enthusiasm.

linda I'm still crying all the bloody time! They played a George Harrison song on the radio yesterday and I had a little cry thinking about what a great man and he was and how sad it was that he died before his time (crazy lady). We have the radio on in the office at work and it's a minefield!! I think I've cried nearly everyday since I found out I was pregnant!

Dec2013mummy · 12/06/2014 12:11

Really was a night of non sleeping babies.. Ds has a raging cold... Which I now have too, that horrible head cold and cough. He slept for a maximum of 40 minutes at a time, would only sleep on me from 2 till 5 then Dh got up and had him from 5 till 7 so I could get 2 hours sleep. He will only nap on me today... Thick he just wants cuddles poor thing. So unlike him. I feel for all if you with non sleeping children! It's rotten and horrible to see then ill :(

passes round the tissues haven't been watching obem as I don't want to freak myself out. Should I watch it ?!

cheshirem2b · 12/06/2014 12:16

a colleague of mine made a comment today about me being pregnant because he's noticed (a man noticed, strange I know) that I'm not drinking the usual levels of caffine and am eating more healthily... I just smiled and said I'm going through a healthy phase...! eek! Hopefully only another week until I can spill the beans!
Felling for all of you with non-sleeping babies! I genuinely don't know how you cope!

cheshirem2b · 12/06/2014 12:17

ilove I made DH sit and watch OBEM with me last night - I found it exciting and DH just shrugged and grunted asking can he watch something else! Wink

lindamagoo · 12/06/2014 12:21

Sara yesterday was my worst day! Woke up to a pm telling me an old friend had passed away, in bloody November and nobody thought to tell me then Angry so started the day quite emotional anyway, then it was Jayden's induction into primary 1 and Jackson's induction into nursery so I was upset at how quick things are happening, then I read English's sad news and that tipped me over the edge, I was a total cry baby, lol, then oh upset me and that was it, I was a wreck

Saraswati · 12/06/2014 13:07

Oh linda that sounds like an emotional day even when not pregnant! Sorry to hear about your friend, that's crappy that no one let you know.
I think the hormones just heighten everything. I'm not an emotional person at all, and pride myself on being very controlled yet I'll be crying one minute then really angry the next. It's really taken me (and poor DH!) by surprise. I hope I can chill out a bit during the second trimester, I'm going back to yoga at 14 weeks and I can't bloody wait, it really helps me cope with my emotions!!
