Just Shagging Grads Thread 9 - Roll Up, Roll Up all you graduated Viroids!

HungryHorace · 07/06/2014 21:41

Welcome to the 9th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed. :-)

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 24th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

For those not in the know, a viroid is an autocorrected version of 'ladies' from the 1st JS thread, which then stuck.

So, roll call below please, viroids. :-)

Don't panic, Dulcet. I had 2 weeks of sickness this time then nothing at all. And no boob pain. Symptomless, in fact! And I'm definitely still pregnant with a bonkers, belly-shaking, baby!

I have a date, but I'm not putting it on here in case I've been outed (like I was before!).

I will say that it's when you'd expect it to be though. :-)

I've put it on the Facebook page too!

RPopz · 11/06/2014 19:53

Make the most of it Dulce! I had some good days last week and thought I'd reached the mythical 9 -weeks ms getting better stage.... Apparently not!

Is that really how you outed yourself before Horace?? How annoying!

I've never heard that saying before! Since my skin is lovely I'll go for boy... but I'm a flabby pig so then... maybe its a girl... Confused Grin

wilhelmeaner · 11/06/2014 20:35

Nah, that's not true. I had great skin and hair last time and generally 'bloomed' and it was a girl.

That's awful Horace, who twigged on it was you?

Mini hooya Dulcet, am sure all is well.

Don't do the sea bands. I used to get awful travel sickness and I never found they worked for it. Plus as Rpopz says, now the weather is warmer and I'm in short sleeves it'd be too obvious.

So I had the tiniest bit of spotting today. I'm being all calm and rational (check me out). In my gut I feel things are ok and time will tell anyway. Have booking app later in the week so will chat to midwife then.

RPopz · 11/06/2014 22:28

Massive kudos for your calm and PMA Wil. There's a lot to be said for gut feeling (though I tend to ignore mine as its a massive drama queen...) Hope the spotting stops soon Thanks x

HungryHorace · 11/06/2014 22:58

I was outed by posting about my inlaws not coming to our wedding (long story, but no, they didn't come).

And I have no idea who it was as they weren't polite enough to tell me (which is what you're meant to do). I know they know my MiL, but I've got no idea who they are either on here or in RL.

So if they're reading this...I think you're a rude, inconsiderate bitch who enjoys stirring shit and karma will bite you on the arse one day.

I'm glad you're being calm and rational, Wil. Would your period be due about now? I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. :-)

OP posts:
RPopz · 12/06/2014 09:16

Wow that is shitty Horace. I never really though about being outed on here having any serious consequences apart from being a bit embarrassing!!

Hope alls well this morning Wil x

DulcetMoans · 12/06/2014 10:39

Oh god horace, that's horrible! Same as popz, never thought it would be anything other than embarrassing but if I think about the moaning I have done about colleagues sometimes I guess it could be more than embarrassing at work!

Keep calm wil, hopefully the midwife will put your mind at rest.

I'm in the facebook group people! I can confirm it is secret!

Nessalina · 12/06/2014 15:18

That is crap Horace. Stinkers.
One of my best pals knows my user name, but I haven't been fussed enough to change it - I think I'd just do a temporary NC if I had anything embarrassing to post! I outed myself because when we had the problems with the last pregnancy she was searching on Mumsnet to find out more about Turner's Syndrome, and she realised the post she was reading was actually me! She was mortified and told me, but it wasn't like she was snooping anyway.

Hope the spotting has stopped Wil, I salute you in your stoicism!! Do mention it to the midwife even if it stops, it's good for them to keep a note of these things. How far on are you now?

HungryHorace · 12/06/2014 16:17

When I came across my cousin by accident I immediately sent her a text to tell her, but she was fine about it.

It's only polite to tell someone if you've outed them, but clearly the bitch person who outed me was more interested in shit stirring. Hey ho.

How're you today, Wil?

OP posts:
RPopz · 12/06/2014 19:12

I'm hiding in here today. There seems to be a miscarriage a minute on the due in Jan thread at the moment.... I really thought we were in the safe zone now!! Confused Feeling increasingly twitchy about my 12 week scan now... Sad

Has everyone been enjoying the lovely weather? I've had today off but unfortunately am working tonight instead! Ah well x

I'd probably be easily outed as my user name isn't terribly imaginative!! Hmm

wilhelmeaner · 12/06/2014 19:27

Ah don't worry Rpopz, remember that those due at the end of Jan won't be very far along yet. I'm due the 18th and I'm only 8+5. You're a lot safer up at the 10/11 week end. I haven't joined that thread this time as it freaked me out altogether last time. Ooh does that mean your user name is similar to your real name. I'm going to start guessing Wink.

I change my username slightly every couple of months to make it slightly harder to search me but if someone was really bothered to read all the shit I have written, I suppose it would be easy enough.

No more spotting. I wonder whether it might have been from a small cut or something. I actually would have been due AF about 4 days ago so I suppose that could be related but it was such a tiny amount. Anyway, am feeling fine about it. And also, I have a frigging bump! Can't believe it, I was so lovely and petite last time and I'm clearly heading for big fat waddledom this time.

And there was no one else you already knew in the fb group Dulcet?

HungryHorace · 12/06/2014 21:06

RPopz, our August thread was horrendous for a while. We lost far too many people in a very short space of time. :-(

It's not what you need when you're already nervous, is it?

I held my breath when Dulcet and I became Facebook friends, but we have no mutual friends! There really aren't very many people in the secret group. You'd be unlucky to know somebody else in there!!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 12/06/2014 21:55

Didn't see anyone I recognise wil, but I haven't explored much! I will spy on the list! Not sure what to do now I'm in there though... Might just loiter!

Haven't been in the jan thread for a while but sounds like I'd better stay away popz. Don't want to hear the bad news! Poor ladies.

So the football started... Hmm Good job we did make a baby cos there would be limited time for the next 6 weeks!

DulcetMoans · 12/06/2014 21:58

Just had a minor heart attack as a few of the members had 1 mutual friend. Freak out! But it's ok - it's horace! Phew!

HungryHorace · 12/06/2014 22:03

Ha ha! :-) Sorry to scare you!

OP posts:
RPopz · 12/06/2014 22:20

Haha perhaps I'll peek my head in on the fb group then! What do I need to do??

Think I majorly freaked because one of the mc ladies is about 10ish weeks - turns out she's had a mmc which most likely happened a few days after her early scan! Horrendous. Sad

I'm at work until 8am! Sad Sad Thankfully seem to be having a nausea free day today... hopefully will continue! Grin Just inhaled some chocolate brownies the that someone has thoughtfully left behind Grin

Nessalina · 12/06/2014 22:41

8am?! Poor you! Bloody hell.

I've not been on the Nov thread since this one got going. It went through a scary MC zone too, and there were a lot of people saying a lot of nothing so I just lost interest. I much prefer our select crowd of viroids Smile

Man it's been hot here today! Got some of my maternity clothes through in the post for holiday Smile Not a bad selection from New Look. Really nice maxi skirt with a bizarrely baggy bump cover - not quite sure if I'm supposed to fold it over or something, lol! Shock Mat clothing is such a minefield!

Has anyone got any experience of buying nursing bras? Thought I might pop into Mothercare on Saturday and have a look. The boobs are getting out of control, and it feels like a waste to buy more normal bras!! Blush

RPopz · 13/06/2014 07:46

Haha, I fear new bras may be the next thing on my list... DH will honestly not stop staring at my tits!! Guess there's gotta be some perks of being preggers!

30 long minutes until I'm home in my lovely bed!! Grin

JuniDD · 13/06/2014 08:21

Morning. I've got some maternity bras from Debenhams which are pretty good and supportive. Quite pricey though. They're not nursing bras just non-wired and structured. Smile

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 08:31

Yeah RPopz if you can be bothered with that nonsense, I guess it is a plus! Whenever MrWil suggests anything of the sort, I look at him with my spewy face and a raised eyebrow. Doesn't get brought up again for a while. Actually wish I felt well enough!

Nursing bras are generally not that attractive. I just got ones from Mothercare and M&S last time and they were comfy but the trouble is, if you have bigger boobs, they're not that supportive and if you're used to wearing underwired ones, the shape and height is obviously very different. I have found a page called 'hotmilk' (bit of a rank name if you ask me) though where they look a bit nicer (although still underwired). Ooh or found this site with underwired ones: www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/search.asp?extratype=1 Not sure how comfy they'd be when your breasts are massively engorged but might give it a go.

That's awful about the mmc Rpopz. Had she still been having symptoms?

haha Dulcet that's the kind of thing I'd do - fb freak out!. It would be weird seeing people in real life as I kind of have a picture of everyone in my head and I bet they wouldn't match at all.

DulcetMoans · 13/06/2014 08:57

I know you have worked all night popz, but I am jealous you can get in bed now. Its so hot in this office and it's not even 9am. I am going to melt today. Must stay hydrated!

Are there different bras for while you are pregnant and when the baby comes? I am confused by the name nursing bra when you are pregnant...!

10 weeks today! Waiting for my NHS email to see what fruit I am. My app said prune... Hmm

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 09:13

Haha prune doesn't sound the nicest!

Well if you want to breastfeed, you may as well buy nursing bras now (they have little clips so the front panel can be undone for easy access) or you'll waste money buying two types. If you don't want to breastfeed then you can just buy maternity bras which are basically just wireless bras for comfort as far as I can tell. You only need them if your normal ones are hurting you. I'm doing ok in normal ones this time whereas last time had to give them up straight away which worries my paranoid self.

Hope your office cools down.

DulcetMoans · 13/06/2014 09:34

So, its just gone half 9 and I can tell my productivity is going to be pretty low today...

Thanks for explaining the bras wil! My boobs are bigger but I can probably keep going with these for now. When is your midwife appointment?

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 10:22

In an hour, I'll be more preoccupied with keeping the terrible toddler entertained rather than focussing on the midwife though.

HungryHorace · 13/06/2014 10:45

Regarding nursing bras, it's really not worth spending the extra money to get those. Non-wired, bigger bras are best for now.

Our antenatal midwife said to wait til 10 days post partum before buying your nursing bras as your size should be established by then.

Mine are massive. And growing. Not sure I'll be able to stand upright once my milk comes in!! :-)

If anyone wants to join the Facebook group PM me your real name / email address / description of profile picture and I'll sort it.

Home alone with DD today. She's so active it's very hard to keep up. But thankfully she's not as grumpy as first thing before her nap. Bloody teething.
