Just Shagging Grads Thread 9 - Roll Up, Roll Up all you graduated Viroids!

HungryHorace · 07/06/2014 21:41

Welcome to the 9th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed. :-)

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 24th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

For those not in the know, a viroid is an autocorrected version of 'ladies' from the 1st JS thread, which then stuck.

So, roll call below please, viroids. :-)

Oh I feel your pain Horace except it must be extra difficult at your stage of pregnancy. I bought nursing bras during pg last time and they fitted fine until baby started on solids and then I started to get a bit smaller again from feeding less. Mine only went up a couple of sizes though and were pretty big to start with so I guess it depends on how much you change.

Appointment lasted about 25 minutes if that. MiniWil was exceptionally well behaved and I didn't even have to drug her. But, they didn't do a pg test, which is surely weird no? So I basically won't have my pg confirmed until my scan? Which of course was booked for when we're on holiday and needed changing. I'm sure it was a much longer appointment last time.

DulcetMoans · 13/06/2014 12:33

No one has tested me either wil! I could be making this whole thing up! Did you discuss the spotting? Extra sweets for mini-wil then!

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 12:53

Haha, well extra grapes anyway, she hasn't learned what a sweetie is yet Grin thank god as she eats like a horse

Oh that makes me feel better. I definitely peed in a pot last time round though. I really hope I'm not making it up, can you imagine how embarrassing that would be? She was wholly unconcerned about spotting because she asked if it was similar to mc and I said no. TBH I've found a sore bit and think I have a small cut. No clue how that happened mind you.

RPopz · 13/06/2014 13:25

Glad the appointment went well Wil. I think I've heard the booking app isn't as long for second+ pregnancies. No one's ever done a pg test on me either!! (though I've done enough of my bloody own... lol). I was surprised too. I peed in a pot but they just protein/glucose dipsticked it.

Intresting bra talk! I'm still in my normal bras, just with the straps made bigger on a few. I was reading in my book the other day that underwired bras are not recommended in pg at all! Surely not!? I can't live without underwire! I figure as long as they're not hurting I'm ok?

Good to reach double figures isn't it Dulce Grin I've been feeling loads better/less sick these past couple of days so hopefully am over the worst!

RPopz · 13/06/2014 13:32

Haha, Wil - I haven't actually let Mr Rpopz touch/ utilise them Wink He just likes a good gawp!

DulcetMoans · 13/06/2014 13:40

It does feel good popz but I know I am a bit behind too so feel like a bit of a fraud! I can feel another POAS coming on though as I have mostly felt ok this week except tired and boobs.

Email from NHS arrived but no fruit! So disappointing! I will have to go with prune then...

RPopz · 13/06/2014 13:52

Yeah I think I'm a bit of a fraudster too. My crazy 5 week cycles put me a week ahead which I'm thinking they'll take off me at the scan!

HungryHorace · 13/06/2014 13:55

No, they don't test you normally. Just take your word for it. Bonkers really!

I'm glad it went well and they weren't concerned. :-)

I had a minor heart attack earlier as I thought I'd lost my phone in Sainsbury's. Turned out that a small person had inserted it under the sofa! It definitely wasn't me as I can't get to the floor without huge effort!

My boobs were from big to football sized last time. I have a couple of nursing bras that are like vest tops, so not a particular size, and they're useful.

Trying to get DD to nap now...not having huge success! Currently crawling round her cot. Hmmm!

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 14:04

football sized??! Ouch! Grin. Ha I also have a toddler who hides things. usually house keys when we're in a rush to get out!

I presume it's just for comfort Rpopz, I can't imagine what actual hurt it would do you. You may find it becomes too uncomfortable eventually.

I have to get my ass into gear but afternoon pukey feeling has surfaced.

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 14:04

*harm, not hurt

RPopz · 13/06/2014 14:11

I've pm-ed you Horace - hopefully there aren't 500 other HungryHoraces on mn who I've also messaged!

I have no idea what any of you look like!! Not even in my head!

JuniDD · 13/06/2014 14:18

The non-wired bra thing is because the wires can press on your breast tissue in the "wrong" place and not do your forming breast ducts any good. Definitely not recommended when breast feeding.

The maternity bras I have have strong seams in the same place as underwires so they fit really nicely and give the same shape. No droopage here!

Can I have a little hooya please? It's the private scan tomorrow which is exciting, but it's in the same private hospital where the molar pregnancy was diagnosed. I swore I'd never go back there and can't help feel terrified it'll be bad news again Sad. Silly I guess but MrJuni isn't being very "with it" this week with the support. Argh.

DulcetMoans · 13/06/2014 15:37

Yay popz, you are in! I know who you areeeeee! Grin

Tiny sympathetic hooya juni, I bet it is unsettling but there is no reason for it to happen again. You'll see a lovely heartbeat and all will be well! Stay strong.

RPopz · 13/06/2014 15:46

Haha how did you know it was me!? Wink Blush x

HungryHorace · 13/06/2014 15:58

Yes, gentle Hooya for Juni. What you're feeling is how everyone feels, even without any sad history behind them. I'm sure you'll be fine. :-)

RPopz, we went to the same uni! Many years apart, but I went there too. I think you'd have been city campus though whereas I was at the other 2.

DH has rescued me from a grumpy, nap-refusing DD, so I'm happily sitting in peace on the sofa. It's lovely.

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 18:19

Big hugs Juni. Just think that you have already had the scan so you know things are ok really. This is just so you can have a nice experience and ask all those questions you didn't get a chance to last time (if you have any). There is no reason for anything to be amiss. You'll be fine Thanks. (And leave a big old sign up with flashing lights telling MrDD you need a hug).

Ooh you're right about the bra thing, I feel like I once knew that fact! I am the complete stereotype of a second time around pregnancy. First time I read everything and knew all the dos and donts etc and this time I have read pretty much nothing and can't remember anything apart from I'm not supposed to drink and eat soft cheese.

JuniDD · 13/06/2014 18:22

And no street drugs wil, stay off the crystal meth Wink Wink Wink Wink

Thanks for the hugs and hooyas Smile will try to get excited. Knackered today which always makes me a bit low. I may suggest a trip to John Lewis after the scan to look at prams Shock xx

RPopz · 13/06/2014 18:55

Oooh I love John Lewis! Grin

Bloody hell I feel sick as a dog now. Angry

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 19:29

Shit really? Shock hides crack pipe and kicks Bunsen burner under rug Wink

Nessalina · 13/06/2014 19:30

I normally wear a 34DD underwired bra, but last pregnancy my breasts were SO sore and swollen from very early on so I got measured and bought some non-underwired 34H bras! Now I'm growing out of those! Definitely feels like a waste to just get more regular bras so figured if I get nursing bras now with clips then I'm baby ready Smile But after what Horace said I might hang on to chat to my midwife... I need something though, I'm being strangled by current bras! I think some crop-top style night bras would be good too.

Glad the booking appt went well Wil! They didn't test me either. Maybe they're wise to our crazy peeing and figure we're not worth wasting a test on!

My baby is apparently the size of a grapefruit today Shock

Sheer nosiness may tempt me back into Facebook - really intrigued to know what you lot are really like! Just so long as all the good chat is still on here!!

Gentle hooya Juni Smile Stay chilled, things should be fine xxx

JuniDD · 13/06/2014 19:40

ness have a look at these. I'm pondering a purchase but coping ok though I think I'll be in an E before long. I was a B/C before, can't get my head around it! And then it all goes back/different again, so weird!

Feeling better now though trying not to kick MrJuni's lazy arse. I asked him to do me some soup and he said no as he's too comfortable reading in bed, and he's not hungry! He did a really nice dinner last night so I'm trying to be reasonable. Still. I'm so tired! But oh yeah, he's tired too... Hmm

JuniDD · 13/06/2014 19:43

Oh, and yes wil. Heroin too. It's ALLLL gotta go. Wink.

My pregnancy app has a bit of pregnancy info every day. One of them was about stopping taking street drugs. I've looked ahead and one is about getting a tattoo in pregnancy. I guess it's good it covers all of these things but it wouldn't occur to me to get a tattoo right now!

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 19:56

Ooh maybe there will also be one about 'female piercings'. 'We advise you not to get your clitoris pierced during pregnancy as it may be an infection risk during delivery.'

JuniDD · 13/06/2014 19:59

Did you write the app wil? That's exactly the tone!

wilhelmeaner · 13/06/2014 20:29

Ha no but maybe I should write one to top up crappy stat mat pay! We could have a JSing app, bet that would be better than some crappy NHS one.

Just realised I didn't pick up my free vitamins from the table after my appointment. Fecking annoying.
