BigHairy I'll be keeping my toilet roll in a locked slug-proof cabinet from now on! Eurrrrrgh!

miraculous2 · 11/06/2014 23:24

This thread's a LOLfest today. Are we all a bit giddy? It's very close to a full moon...

I lost it at 'mystery shit stains', peace

And today, I was interviewing candidates for a job and I said something quite inappropriate and hilarious in between two of the interviews. It was all I could do to compose myself and stay that way throughout the next one. I've done this a few times recently - my mouth operates before I've had a chance to filter! Anyone else? I think it's a pregnancy thing!

Miraculous, I've been a bit more errmmm... candid than usual and I wasn't exactly shy before I got pregnant! Was talking to a rather Po faced lady at work the other day and described aniseed gaviscon as like drinking Bertie Bassetts semen.... she went quiet and the conversation moved quickly onwards!

I'm 14 weeks 4 days. No sickness, work know and are ok about it, the world knows. As far as I know the baby is healthy, so apart from struggling over keeping my weight down I am feeling at peace with the world today! Grin

Ladylel · 12/06/2014 09:24

I'm my same old self just a bit more of as short fuse. It was short already now the littlest things really pee me off! It's the DH that gets the brunt ofc, who then takes great pride in telling me I am being horrible especially when he gets the backing of agreement from my parents.
I reign myself in at work. Altho that's where I'd like to give a few ppl a what for.

I found a picture of myself I took a week before my lmp as I was going on a mission to lose weight for the wedding. It never happened. But it is a good starting point to compare to what my stomach is looking like now. It stuck out anyways and it's Minimal but when you think about it fairly noticeable difference.

Having a few achey feelings today. Not quite cramps just twinges.

15 +2 today.

Ladylel · 12/06/2014 09:28

Forgot to add had aome funky dreams last night. Watched OBEM as there was a twin birth on it. Never cringed before now I have a whole new respect for women and giving birth.
Anyway dream went: was pregnant, felt kicking, found out sex and was told 2 girls but when they were born in my dream it was 2 boys, but oddly they looked like puppies :s and then there was a third one!

Bearing in mind we don't know what they are yet but I am hoping for 1 of each lol

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/06/2014 13:04

It's so hot Shock I have to keep sitting down in front of a fan for five minutes.

Ladylel · 12/06/2014 14:38

It is warm peace but I love the warm weather. Pale as a ghost and clearly shouldn't be out in the sun unless wearing factor 50 and a covered but I can't help it. I'm like a flower I need light and warmth! Lol

Anyone feel tight in lower stomach? All of a sudden seems to have tighten up like there is something in the way between belly button and pube line. X

isambardo · 12/06/2014 15:12

I have weird dreams every night at the moment and I woke up with heartburn last night too, seems very early for crap like that to be starting!

I've finally logged on at a computer so can upload my 12 week scan, is anyone a nub expert and want to take a guess? I'm not even sure where the nub is!

I work from home in a hot attic and I feel like a sweaty mess! Laughing at Bertie Basset's semen though :)

Emilypinkorblue, I haven't said yet how nice it was to read your news, I did check for updates from you regularly whilst you were gone. Hope all goes smoothly for you from now on x

Just got home. Had results of blood screening back and baby is low risk 1/10000 for downs. I am relieved because of my oldness! Also had my medical exemption certificate through which is good.

I have hoofed it across the midlands on boiling public transport today and i am now lying on sofa with all doors and windows open in shorts and Vest. Very relieved to be home Smile

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/06/2014 16:42

Ladylel my job involves running around like a headless chicken so it's not really suited to hot hot hot weather!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/06/2014 16:49

I am normally running about in a building that is hotter than the sun owing to the majority of its residents being elderly. During my pregnancy risk assessments this was noted and I am going to be bought a fan and am allowed to wear vests. Grin still going to boil though.

Ooooh vests, BigHairy! Congrats on your test results too :)

Whatsonemore I found the American candy shop! I was almost tempted by peanut butter Pop Tarts but £6 Confused a pay day treat I think.

Scan day tomorrow! I can't believe i'm 12 weeks already. When I think back two months to how sure I was that something would go wrong, it feels crazy.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/06/2014 17:39

What times your scan? Will be thinking of you xx

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/06/2014 18:09

2:20pm. DH is more scared than I am!

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 12/06/2014 18:09

Remarking place. Good luck tomorrow Peace!

BigHairy, great news on the results.

13-ish weeks, not actually sure. Had scan, all good & moved forward to the 13th dec

espa · 12/06/2014 18:10

Scan day for me tomorrow too, 1.30. Excited but a bit scared! Hope there's a baby in there!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/06/2014 18:14

Good luck for tomorrow Peace and Espa! I know what you mean Espa - I thought that about mine!

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 12/06/2014 21:24

Ahhh I'm in a dilemma... there's a family function going on on Saturday but it's a 4 hour drive there and then another 4 hours back. Was planning to go tomorrow evening but I don't want to go. I don't want to spend that long in the car just for a party.

However, it's a party for my 7 year old brother. We're not close (he'd never met me until last year) but I'm worried he'd be upset. What would you do?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/06/2014 21:42

I would call him on the phone to explain in person and send him a brilliant birthday present and tell him to take loads of pictures for me.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 12/06/2014 21:48

Ok, I've rung them and explained (on top of being pregnant and needing a wee every half an hour which makes car journeys hell on earth, we've had car trouble/house trouble/cat-sitter trouble which is all adding stress) and I'm going to ring my brother on the day to apologise & send a present. I've also said we'll arrange something in the summer holidays. I feel awful for letting him down but thinking I could do all that travel in a day was a bit optimistic I think Sad

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 12/06/2014 21:52

Anyway, with that minor crisis over back to the pregnancy chat...

16+1 today can't believe how quick it's going. I bought the cot yesterday, as it was in the sale - I was restrained this time... I think I'd bought most of ds's equipment and furniture already by this stage. Grin I like planning ahead.
