A long ass day today! Crikey!

My belly feels gigantic, huge and bloaty. Can't understand why it's so big!

Thank god there's only one more day til weekend!

14+4

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/06/2014 22:20

Not pictures for me, pictures for you! I havent bought anything yet!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/06/2014 22:44

I was killing time in Toys R Us tonight and looked at their prams and cots. I've got my heart set on a Silver Cross Sleepover but it's about £700 Shock I just love the traditional SCs and that's the closest I think you can get with modern conveniences.
Better get saving!

SassehMonsta · 13/06/2014 06:16

I was so hoping that my mum had kept her SC pram, but after the 4 of us it kind of died! Booo.

Survived yesterday on one out of 3 antisickness tablets. Drove to Reading (2 hrs) to visit my sister and left them at home oops. Lovely to see her though! Going to try today on just a morning tablet as it wasnt too bad yesterday! Was going to try without but body said I really needed one before food today.

My right boob is still leaking, but only when I'm putting stretch mark cream on/massaging it, and only tiny tiny drop amounts. Still feels strange!

SassehMonsta · 13/06/2014 06:17

Oh yes, 13+6 & due 13th Dec now!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 13/06/2014 06:54

Had all my next apts through (16wk midwife) 20 wk scan, glucose tolerance test. All of them clash with really important stuff that I only have to do rarely. What are the chances! Angry

espa · 13/06/2014 08:12

12+2 and still being sick. At this rate this will be my only pregnancy!

Was wondering how long the scan normally takes?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 13/06/2014 08:49

Depends on the waiting room Espa. I'm at the women's in Birmingham and may as well not have an apt time because scan is always half an hour late. Actual scan took about tenish mins. Then was with Midwife for about half an hour doing bloods, going through stuff etc. Had a lot of waiting around in between. Whole thing took about 3 hours in total but that might be because its a massively busy hospital.

Good luck for your scan, and to you Peace. xxx

Ladylel · 13/06/2014 09:27

Fellow hayfever sufferers help. Am aware we Can't take antihistamines unless doctor says so, so does anyone recommend anything else? The anti pollen balms? Hay max ? Do they work?

espa · 13/06/2014 10:13

Thanks BigHairy. Afaik not seeing midwife today, just the scan at maternity hospital. Heading to my folks for the weekend so just hoping to get on the road to avoid traffic!

So far today I have been sick, had breakfast, put on a load of washing, cleaned the shower and had a shower, painted my toenails, now I'm absolutely knackered! Normally those chores wouldn't bother me much but goes to show how first trimester is tiring (even if DH doesn't quite believe it!). My house is a total tip and has been for last 6 or 7 weeks, something needs done!!

espa · 13/06/2014 10:16

Lady if you are stuffed up have you tried Sterimar?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/06/2014 10:24

Estate agents are coming round between 12-1 to hang some new curtains Hmm I want to lie around in my pants until the last possible moment, damn it!
So far today I have eaten some biscuits and some Mini Cheddars (we need to go shopping) and painted my nails, and laid on the sofa in my pants watching MasterChef. Yeah! Day off!
So far today I SHOULD HAVE: taken my tablets, washed up, hung washing out, showered, got dressed, gathered up all my notes, and unpacked some boxes. Whoops.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/06/2014 10:35

Oh and DH told the estate agent we'd be in until 3pm because he confused the (2:20pm) scan with the (3:15pm) consultant appointment next month Hmm

SassehMonsta · 13/06/2014 12:22

Ooopsie peace! Our scan was 15 mins late (despite being 8:30am appointment.... Grrr!) and lasted about 20 mins. We declined NT so no waiting around for bloods etc.

I have mw appointment for bloods on Monday morning, should be... interesting. No DH to take with me as hes working, and close friend I would take to medical stuff is in Cornwall. Might have to ask another friend to accompany me, or even her DH! Also got date through for 20 week growth scan, (24th July, putting me at 19+5ish) but no date as yet for GTT (should be at 28 weeks according to my notes).

LisaC2611 · 13/06/2014 12:24

Ladylel, I have been to the drs this morning for the exact same reason. I got told that the GP would not let me have antihistamines at all, eye drops are fine and I have been given some anti-inflammatory ones as the ones I got from the pharmacy last week were making my eyes sting every time I put them in. Having to suffer my nose running constantly and the sneezing but can cope with that as long as my eyes are ok and I don't feel like I want to scratch them out.

Good luck with your scan today Peace.

Am feeling very jealous of all the lovely scan pictures that have been put up - mine was so poor Sad

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/06/2014 13:11

Oooh are there blood tests today?? I thought it was just scan!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/06/2014 13:13

Wait, I had blood tests done with the midwife, so they'll just use those?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/06/2014 13:33

Sorry for spam. I'm not scared of needles in the slightest, just wasn't expecting them today!

Martie1 · 13/06/2014 13:36

Lovely to see everyone's scan pictures. Unfortunately i decided to eat my lunch whilst catching up on this thread. Slug on loo roll- argh!!!!

Well I feel pretty much back to normal food wise which is brilliant. A few questionable foods but I actually felt sick at the idea of a pot noodle today when a few weeks ago I would have eaten it at any time lol.

Had the most excruciating pain last night when I sneezed in bed, and then did the same thing this morning. I know its that round ligament pain thing, but it is so painful and it really does scare the life out of me that I have hurt the baby or something.

My '20 week' scan is not until 23rd July when I'll actually be 20 +2. Seems like ages away.

I need a holiday, im wrecked. Thank god its friday.

14 +4 Smile

TipseyTorvey · 13/06/2014 13:55

Hello, new to this thread, just got my nuchal blood test results, which were fine so finally feel I can start feeling its all real now :-). Marking my place!

espa · 13/06/2014 14:53

I have a baby in my tummy! Now 12+3 so moved a day to 23rd December :) xx

espa · 13/06/2014 14:55

Baby didn't do much wriggling or waving, but she did jump/bounce twice which made me giggle!

ChineseFireball · 13/06/2014 15:14

Lovely scan news, ladies, and hello to new people Smile I think my nausea is starting to ease off a bit (huzzah!) but I'm getting cracking headaches. I think it could be to do with stunning less than I have been. But I don't want to keep taking paracetamol so I've taken to walking around with a cold flannel permanently attached to my forehead. I look awesome.

Just waiting for DS to wake up from his nap (in the car) and then I will have some explaining to do to DH about my childcare ability. Since he left for work this morning DS has dismounted the bed via a cranial lead, suffered an occular collision with a small vehicle and impacted his patellae (does he have them yet or is it still cartilage?) with the pavement. Do you think it sounds better with posh on it than if I tell him he nosedived off the bed, poked himself in the eye with a toy car and grazed his knees when he fell down running away from me? Wink just thinking of my marriage...

11+6

ChineseFireball · 13/06/2014 15:15

DYAC. *drinking. Not stunning. Arses.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 13/06/2014 17:37

It was a birthday yesterday but had such a busy day I didn't have time to post. Also had a midwife appt to put my mind at rest to hear the babies heartbeat after having the amnio test last Tuesday. It was great to hear it beating away like a steam train! I still can't believe anything is in there though! I've seen the baby 3 times on scans now and heard the heartbeat 4 times and it still feels so unreal! Is anyone the same?? So anyways my next appt now is on friday 20th to have another ultrasound and see my consultant and I should get the second set of test results from my amnio test next week! Can't wait for next week to be over and hopefully everything will have a positive outlook not quite sure I can deal with more bad news after everything we have been through! I'm firmly expecting to have a gorgeous baby boy just in time for Xmas!!
