I'm in Kent Emily. Bromley area though, so only just.

Haven't posted much recently as everything had been relatively normal me far compared to all the situations others are having. Had such a lovely midwife for the booking appointment. Wish I could share her with those who had bad experiences.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/06/2014 18:10

Wait, what the hell is the candy shop?!

SassehMonsta · 09/06/2014 18:14

Lying in bed and just feeling weird twitchy/wind movements in my pelvis/lower stomach area. Its way too early to feel movement at 13 weeks for a first child - right???! Confused.com - probably only gas but very strange feelings.

Ok day today, including gardening at work!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/06/2014 18:19

Sasseh I've had fluttery feelings for a couple of weeks but I'm sure it's just gas. It's nice to pretend though!

I've been able to feel my little bean wiggling for about a week and I'm absolutely convinced it's not just wind as when I had my scan on Friday baby was exactly where I could feel it. I told the sonographer and she said it was entirely possible. I love it, every evening it does a special little wiggle dance just for me Grin

I don't drive either as I'm visually impaired, it's a pain in the arse sometimes but I'm pretty used to it and I get a free bus pass, so it's not all bad!

Hi everyone. Another one feeling huge here. It's uncomfortable to lie on my front now although tbh I didn't really lie on my front much anyway. Today was my last day in the office properly until after the scan (next Tues) - on site tomorrow, non-working day Wednesday, meeting in another office Thursday and then annual leave Friday and Monday. Very relieved as there is not much I can do now to hide the bump. I'm going to have to go through my maternity clothes because some of them are truly awful! Might just treat myself to a few nice bits.

I'm still nauseous and have been sick most days recently, but hoping that passes very soon!

StetsonsAreCool · 09/06/2014 19:26

Sasseh, I could feel that around 14 weeks with DD. It wasn't until about 18 weeks that I could definitively say that's what it was, but once I knew what it felt like I realised I'd been feeling it for weeks! Usually when I was in the car and the seatbelt was putting pressure on.

I haven't been able to sleep on my front for weeks because of sore boobs, but I'm finding that a good compromise is to lie on my side with the top leg cocked up in front of me (sort of half foetal position IFSWIM) so I can lie forwards, but wedged up by my leg. Works well so far.

Scan was today. I'm feeling like a weight has been lifted. Baby all present and correct, everything looked fine. It was a proper little wiggler, bouncing all over the place, waving and sucking its thumb. Was lovely to see. Sonographer said the head looked well formed, so risk of Spina Bifida should be low - I've been worried about that because I really haven't been taking my folic acid very often. EDD has come forward by 4 days, which I wasn't expecting, as we only DTD twice and I'm pretty sure of when I ovulated, based on dates etc. Conception bloody well confuses me! Grin

New date is 18th Dec. Will update stats page.

SassehMonsta · 09/06/2014 20:26

Ohhh so it could be? Thats so weird. Also, one of my boobs is just starting to leak slightly. Eeks!

Scan tomorrow morning first thing. Also havent been taking folic acid.much at all or multivits. Been very slack. Even only did my b-complexs for a few days...

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/06/2014 20:34

Omg I'm going looking for the candy shop tomorrow! I don't go down that end of the shopping centre very often as I work down near the train station so it must have missed my attention!!

oohdaddypig · 09/06/2014 20:35

This isn't meant as any kind of boast... I felt my first at 16 weeks, my second at 11 weeks and this one at 9 weeks. Apparently it's not possible, but I have felt movement with little one now for 4 weeks, very low down.

Off work on hols this week, just at home. Bloody nausea back massively - in bed already. Yuk.

sasseh good luck tomorrow.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 09/06/2014 21:22

I'm sure I felt definite movement this evening, I've felt it before but not sure if it was just wishful thinking. I was 17 weeks with ds, 15+5 this time.

SassehMonsta · 09/06/2014 21:37

Urrrm - boob leakage! Only one side, but totally unexpected. Did have unusually sore (well, more so than usual) boob this morning, but didnt think much of it. Trying not to be fascinated by it as dh keeps telling me its natural - yes but its newwww!

StetsonsAreCool · 09/06/2014 21:54

Wow! I never got that last time, and only right at the very end did I get any milk spots at all - but literally about a week before my due date. This time, I've had them since about 6 weeks Confused Just tiny little white lumps in the ends of my nipples that I can roll off. Hopefully everyone's eaten by now. Sorry!

Pourquoi, I'm convinced I've been feeling something too. Very low down, about where the ultrasound thing went today, and very light fluttering. Not like the gas bubbles I've been feeling ever since DD was born, which are stronger and higher up, nearer my belly button.

Ladylel · 09/06/2014 21:59

I get uber sore boobs at completely random times. Not even every day, Just comes on, normally middle of the day and its sharp and sudden then it goes after 5 minutes. Almost like someone has twisted them, and its normally just one of them. No leaking at this stage. They do feel heavier, nipples are getting bigger and pointier (tmi soz)

I haven't properly laid on my front for a little while, I have been lying on my side with a pillow between my legs, especially with the lower back/hip pain. When I do lay on my front I feel like something is in the way. Not comfortable either way.

I thought I felt something the other day, but I have been suffering with some major gas and trapped wind as of late. Putting it down to that. Bit of indigestion and heart burn kicking in as well. Apparently you will know when you feel something for definate.

My SIL gave me her left over (unused of course) maternity pants, pads and nipple pads. Something I hadn't even thought about now I have a large bag on top of my wardrobe!

The joys of things to look forward to. I'm just planning on dealing with things and crossing bridges when I come to it unless it absolutely necessarily needs to be focused on at that moment in time.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 09/06/2014 21:59

I've been thinking I could feel a fluttering very low down. Only at night when I'm really still... brilliant!

Eeeek to boob leakage! Didn't realise it happened this early!

I've failed 5 driving tests so far and have it on hold at the mo. Will start again soon but I needed a break from the intensity as I was dealing with the intensity of being newly pregnant! I'm pissed that it's taken this long. I hate failing anything.

I've got college again this weekend. Out in the field most of the weekend. I wouldnt mind but this infernal tiredness is saping my interest and Im in danger of messing up an assignment. At the moment my mantra is "done is good enough!"

Everyone at work knows now. Its true what they say...everyone has an opinion on your pregnancy, and everyone has a horror birth story that they will share with you for some inexplicable reason.

CatFaceCrayola · 09/06/2014 22:22

Not been feeling any flutters or anything :( although at the scan baby was pretty still...maybe I just have a lazy one!

And my nipples have been rather itchy and kinda crusty (nice!)

Feeling very overwhelmed. Back at work today where I've had planning scrutiny, observation (wed) and late staff meeting (thurs) thrown at me and just feeling so stressed! On top of that I have dance club, youth Theatre and tutoring to do. Feeling like I just can't cope today. Had a big cry at DH but still not feeling good. I feel pathetic...all I seem to be doing lately is crying, complaining or feeling sorry for myself :(

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 09/06/2014 22:49

ohh catface here's a hug for you, hope you have a better day tomorrow.

I don't feel anything either @ 13+4, and baby was jumping around a lot at scan.

StetsonsAreCool · 09/06/2014 22:56

Catface, it's ok to feel sorry for yourself, you're growing a whole extra person!!

It does feel really overwhelming at times, trying to keep on top of things at work when what you really want to do is curl up in a quiet corner for a couple of hours to snooze, just to get enough energy to make it through to bedtime. It will pass though.

I've had to really rethink my goals at work over the next couple of years. I was on track for a promotion when I've finished this certificate, and now I've had to manage my expectations down a bit. Which feels like I've really let myself down to not achieve what I'd set out to do. I know the opportunities will come back at some point though.

Be kind to yourself.

ImBrian · 10/06/2014 06:38

I thought I was feeling this one move but I'm not 100%, felt like it was last night but my insides are so 'unhappy' I can never be sure.

We're off for a private scan on Saturday to find out what the sex is. Stuck between being very excited and worried that the boyfriends going to be disappointed! I've decided to try and ignore him to the best of my abilities if he's an ungrateful sod!

Cat face do you work in a school? This time of years always shit. My feet aren't touching the floor plus we're waiting for ofsted to call. Roll on maternity leave!

nickyjlees · 10/06/2014 06:50

peace I have my first aquanatal class on Thursday so will let you know what it's like. I'm the most unfit person ever and at the moment just walking around the house is making me breathless / knackered so will be interesting to see how I get on!

SassehMonsta · 10/06/2014 07:05

Ohh nicky, ill be waitong with baited breath to see how it goes. Wpuld love to be.back in the pool but im compelled to swim lengths when I do rather than potter around.being sensible. At least aquanatal aerobics are more likely to be calmer!! Im going to check out my local pools soon and organise something with the bestie once we're both up to it.

You know those signs in swimming pools that say no swimming within 48 hours of vommiting or diahorrea? Does that apply to morning sickness too, as its not contagious??

Scan in less than an hour and a half. Aaarrgghh!

Catface don't worry about feeling rubbish - just be nice to yourself and rest as much as you can. I always feel worse when I'm tired. Thanks

I think I've occasionally felt some movement in the last couple of weeks - low down flutters. First time I didn't feel anything until 21 weeks so this seems hugely early.

Sorry for lack of name checking - I think of all the things I was going to say to people and as soon as I hit "add message" my stupid mind goes blank.

Re due dates etc - the scan is supposed to be a more accurate date than lmp but if you know when you ovulated and when you dtd you can date yourself to within a couple of days. With DS the scan generated EDD would have meant we conceived before I ovulated so I know that was wrong...turns out we just had a chubby baby Grin

11+3 and scan in a week!
