Told my real dad about my pregnancy on phone yesterday. Wasnt massively supportive. Just told me that I should be 'afraid, very afraid'. Mind you. This is the guy that when I told him I couldn't have kids I (ha!), told me it was probably for the best.

He is doting grandad to his three stepdaughters kids. Sad

SassehMonsta · 09/06/2014 08:14

Please.ignore that half-post - phone playing up! But they ate doing well and are home at last. Slow recovery but postive & I wish them all the luck.

Dh hasnt told his biological father, and doesn't want to. He'd be excited as it would be his first grandchild but he is a dick and we wouldnt allow him contact, so whats the point? He mght find out via facebook when we annouce but then so be it. Only downside is his kids wpuld be excited to be uncles/aunts at young ages but then again, no contact. (we havent spoken even online for 2+ years with any of them)

Similar deal with ssils and sbil. Not seen either since our wedding 2.5 yrs ago, so why would we tell them before the rest of the world? They already have plenty of cousins, neices and nephews and dont bother with us. Sad but true.

Coughed up sone blood this morning but it has gone away again. Was thinking about drs but not enough to worry me. Back to work again today!

Im starting to enjiy my pregnancy at last, despite odd sick days. Hurrah! 13+0

Ooh it is a VERY small world indeed... Poly and Lady I live pretty near to Hedge End! Grin

14+1 today, feeling HUGE. I'm going to do a shop online tonight and order a mix of clothes in the next size up and maternity gear. Still struggling to eat except crisps and ice cream so DH and I are going to sit down and try to do a meal plan for the week so he can at least eat a decent meal if I'm not fancying it!

Ladylel · 09/06/2014 11:35

Ah chilly I thought everyone was up North or to the east hoorah for the south! Lol

I also know what you mean about meal plans chilly, my DH was getting uber annoyed with me about not eating properly and just eating rubbish. More of what I fancy than what's good for me. Got a thing for carbs so getting bloated more than anything. Need more fruit and veg!

Have been to chiro today to clear my mind about this pain turns out it's all muscle and not sciatic altho it feels like it, this is good news as it means it's not hip/bone/joint related so lots of stretching is required!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/06/2014 11:42

Ahh loads of people from Soton! A post natal meet up maybe!?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/06/2014 12:49

Oooh not far at all :) we've been meaning to visit Boxhill etc.

Anyone got experience of Aquanatal? I love swimming and being in the water, and have always wanted to try aqua aerobics, so this seems like a perfect opportunity. But will there be endless forms and doctors notes and umming about my (already over-discussed) weight and health issues? If so, I'll just take myself swimming and jump about a bit on my own Hmm

Ladylel · 09/06/2014 14:50

Totally up for a post natal hedge end elephant meet up! Get a hot choc in the cafe :)

Guildford lido is absolutely gorgeous but gets ridiculously packed out on the hot weekends. I like going in the evenings when it's adults only lanes, but you have to be brave and not mind cool water :D

Took me 7 goes to pass my test. Best thing I ever did.
Touch wood I've never had an accident.
Don't know how I'd cope using DH or buses.

Whatsonemore do you get the bus or train to Woking? I catch the bus home from outside Toys R Us so I'm going to be guessing if you're at the bus stop now Grin
I did learn to drive but ran out of money for lessons, and never started again.

I learned to drive last year after I'd gone back to work from mat leave. It was hard, but I'm so glad I can drive now, I think with two children it will be really handy and it will be easier for me to get to different playgroups and visit friends houses.
