Oh no Martie! Hope your oh is ok? You must be due 2 days before me!
Well done for staying positive and productive Catface! My thougts n prayers are with your friend! xx
My weekends not been so +ive lol! Didn't sleep Friday, then I guess must have been cranky yesterday and argued on and off all day with dh! Then today went shopping for fathers day, which I thought was going to be good, but ended up having a melt down in the centre of town as my Dad passed away in January. Spent the rest of the day blubbing, and now feel puffy and have a head ache! The joys!

Martie1 · 08/06/2014 18:08

Dh is fine, it's happened before- he said some very witty things about why he thought it happened, witty in a, i might punch him way lol.

catface positive vibes sent. I really hope your friend comes through it, that's horrendous.. htbftm i had a proper melt down about 2 weeks ago and threw dh out of our car on the way home from a night out. I picked him up straight away again (he was drunk, irritating and should never have gotten out of the car so he's partly to blame lol). I was in bits the next morning though, could not stop crying at my own stupidity, and dh was amazing and said i would laugh about it shortly. He was right. This hormone crap is crazy. Add hormones to loosing your dad and that is not a good combination. The first father's day/birthday has got to be really hard. I hope you get through it. Just remember your hormones are magnifying everything.

I just cried watching beaches. I don't know what I was thinking, i cry at it ordinarily never mind pregnant. What a numpty.

SassehMonsta · 08/06/2014 18:44

Ahh martie, easily done - and at least it stops the worrying for you!

Back home, fwel like I need to sleep for a week. Cant waot till Tuesday for the scan! Im not hiding bump anymore, cant be.bothered and.much rather.be comfy, plus people at work already know so no point there.

Thanks for the realistic outlook Emily, appreciate that allsorts could go wrong and glad that im more aware than.before. (no, it wasnt too negative!)

Im wishing my monday away. Siiigh. 13 weeks tomorrow though! Ive eaten everything in sight today.and only had one almost vomit when someone had eggs with their breakfast. I moved seats pretty sharpish!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/06/2014 19:13

Oh Martie I saw Beaches was on but there are not enough tissues in the world for me to watch that whilst pregnant. Instead I watched Miss Potter on iPlayer and cried my eyes out D:

PolytheneGirl · 08/06/2014 19:34

Ladylel I was at a birthday party in Hedge End yesterday and out on a boat from ocean village today! Back "up north" now though! Small world!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/06/2014 20:13

Ooooh fancy Poly!

PolytheneGirl · 08/06/2014 20:18

I didn't feel to fancy when I was handing off the side trying desperately to keep my lunch down! Probably wasn't the best idea for a ms sufferer!

PolytheneGirl · 08/06/2014 20:19

Try again! I didn't feel too fancy when I was hanging off the side....

Chipandspuds · 08/06/2014 20:21

Is anyone else feeling exhausted? I'm wondering what on earth I'm going to be like in the third trimester?! I didn't feel pregnant or tired with DS until about 8 months. 15+2 today :)

I have my midwife appointment in just over a week, I might ask her to check my iron levels...?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 08/06/2014 20:28

Shattered. All the time.

espa · 08/06/2014 20:30

11+4 today and totally exhausted. Had my 5yo nephew for the weekend, until lunchtime. He's great - only tiring for his incessant questions - but we went for a bit of a walk yesterday and with the heat I think it was a bit too much for me even though it wqs just under 4km. Havent felt right all day and had a couple of hours nap before dinner with the cats and still not feelimg great. Not necessarily sick, just sore head, lethargic. I've also stopped taking my sickness pills as thought it was about time so not sure if that's affecting me.

In other news, my suitcase still seems to be at Heathrow with no news from BA despite flying early Friday afternoon so I'm currently wondering if I'll ever see it (and my folic acid, toothbrush and tangle tease) ever again.

Ladylel · 08/06/2014 20:31

This world is tiny.
Peace I'm back with my parents in Thornhill park. In hedge end I lived 5 minutes from sainsburys. polythene weather was gorgeous for going on a boat today. Ocean village can be quite pretty, bet it was rammed tho! Although I don't know what I'm saying I hate boats. Ferry to the Isle of Wight is bad enough lol! Def avoiding while preggo!

I've started to slowly pop and show, seem to have a lot of bloating but looking rounder already. Not been at work for almost 3 weeks due to wedding/honeymoon/moving so when I go back to work Tuesday I'll be 15 weeks and 'announcing' it, otherwise if people don't notice/twig they are either blind or being polite LOL! Can already see the shock when I say its twins, and already predicting my colleague face when she realises ill be on maternity during the busiest time of our faculty!

Ladylel · 08/06/2014 20:34

My fatigue levels aren't as high/low as they used to be, first 12 weeks couldn't keep eyes open, last few weeks had a but more energy however by time I go to bed I don't realise how knackered I actually am. Bit like when your phone starts at 100%and when you plug it in tells you you've only got 15% battery life left. ! just a relief to finally go back on charge before completely KOing.

PolytheneGirl · 08/06/2014 20:39

Ladylel DH grew up in Thornhill. We've been down for his Nan's bday and to announce our baby news! It was an absolutely beautiful day to be out on the water, I just wish I could have enjoyed it a little more.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/06/2014 20:53

Ladylel we used to go shopping at Hedge End Sainsburys! Do they still have those elephants in the garden?

Ladylel · 08/06/2014 21:00

I had a few friends over and a BBQ in the garden. Shame the weekend goes so quickly.

peace yep still the little elephants as well as additional hippos in recent years too. Smile I have photos from when I left school ten years ago! My friends and I traipsed up from Wildern and had a bunch of photos taken on them. Strange to think ill be taking my kids to sainsburys or marks and sparks and more than likely end up re sitting on them lol

PolytheneGirl · 08/06/2014 21:04

DH is sitting here with his serious face on saying "oh yes, elephants and hippos, they've been there for years!" He used to work in the mcdonalds there as a teen.

Ladylel · 08/06/2014 21:26

Haha. Don't want to anger the expert ;)

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/06/2014 21:32

Awww my dad used to sit us on them while my mum did the shopping! Definitely making a special trip to sit my babies on them GrinGrinGrin

CatFaceCrayola · 08/06/2014 21:41

Feeling sickly. Going to see if toast helps. Really don't want to go to work tomorrow...roll on mat leave (or at least summer holidays!)

Question...does anyone else find that they smell bad during pregnancy? My only theory is that I'm much warmer so might be sweating more.

can't wait to return to all my happy childhood memories with my own child :)

14 weeks

oohdaddypig · 08/06/2014 21:56

Just checking in...

Yes I stink. I'm not sure if it is because I do, or if I can just smell myself more. Even my usually gorgeous smelling toddler smells musty. And don't get me started on the dog!

My fatigue levels are worst in first trimester. I'm usually great in the second, and a bit dozy in the third. But nothing is as bad as the awful first!!!

I managed a hillwalk today. Was shattered afterwards and really panted up the hill. I'm quite fit so it's quite unnerving to be so out of breath!

catface - awful news about your friend.... How sad. I hope you get some good news about him.

StetsonsAreCool · 08/06/2014 22:07

Everything smells bad to me too. I've taken to bleaching the kitchen from top to bottom weekly just to get rid of the general kitchen smells! I'm now contemplating getting a professional oven cleaner in, to see if that makes any difference to the smell!

DaddyPig, I was like that with fatigue when I was pg with dd. The second two trimesters I was perky as anything. Hoping for the same this time as I'm fed up of the lethargy now!

Had my booking yesterday, it's looking like I'll be delivering on consultant ward, after losing a fair amount of blood last time, coupled with a placenta that was reluctant to leave, borderline 3rd degree tear and 9lb baby (apparently high for a first one).

Apart from that everything seems ok. Scan is tomorrow morning, so will know for sure then. I'm hoping to leave this nagging feeling behind, I really want to be excited about this pg, but I just can't summon it at the moment. Feeling a bit sad about that really. Ho hum. Sure it will come!

StetsonsAreCool · 08/06/2014 22:08

Oh, 12+0 today, although that could change tomorrow!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/06/2014 22:09

Has anyone seen Whatsonemore about? Haven't seen her on here in ages

SassehMonsta · 09/06/2014 07:17

Oh cat, bet wishes to your friend. Had a froend of a friend suffer from a stroke & anyresm (pfft cant spell that)
