Cant believe I've woken up this morning (scan day) and have a funny coloured discharge :-(. Its not red, and not quite brown but more than yellow (at 12 + 2). Just can't believe it!

MademoiselleG · 03/06/2014 07:09

English that little dragon hat/cape is too cute!!

I've been awake since 4. FOUR!!! The neighbour's cat has the loudest, weirdest meowing in.the.world: sounds like a fox on heat, and he's been parked in our garden since 4:00. We've got to have windows open as we decorated the room at the weekend (safe paint thought, don't worry!) and it was just like having him in our room. It's my birthday soon and I think I'm going to ask for a bee-bee gun...!!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/06/2014 07:17

Don't worry HTB, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. Let us know how the scan goes.

My cats are waking me up earlier and earlier. 5am they started meowing for their breakfast! Wtf! Luckily DH normally gets up and sorts them out.

Fancy - how far are you now. Sorry the ms has caught up with you.

MademoiselleG · 03/06/2014 07:52

Good luck htbmf ! Let us know how you get on Wink

broodysnoopstie · 03/06/2014 07:57

Good luck with your scan htb Thanks

lindamagoo · 03/06/2014 08:00

Try not to worry htb, things should be ok. Good luck at your scan Smile

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 08:26

Agree with the others Htb it doesn't sound anything to worry about and all will be made well at your scan!

9+4 according to LMP English but mw calculated 9+1. I felt fine after the vom - it really was the 2nd toastie that did me in!!

Seems a few of us are knackered today - I have no idea how I'll keep my eyes open.

chillychicken · 03/06/2014 08:43

Thanks guys!

A pic (if this works) this is the clearest one we got. Baby wouldn't keep arms or legs still Grin I think in this one he's got his arms in front of his face (this leads me to ask - how are you referring to baby if you don't know/until you know the gender?)

I looked on facebook at friends past scan pics and they're all lovely and clear with a nice view of the head - you can see the nose and everything. Nope - not here Grin My little munchkin is obviously camera shy!

Good luck today htb

Told quite a few people yesterday - all thrilled for us. Told some friends quietly in the pub but the barmaid overheard and quickly got on her phone to text people. I'm guessing when I was in the restaurant friends were talking about it as I later overheard some unbelievably nasty bitching from some grumpy old men so I feel a bit deflated.

Still, at least they all know now so can gossip and bitch about me for a few days and then forget it. I'm not that interesting but it's one of the downfalls of living in a tiny village. Oh well.

I've had a lot of stretchy pain after the scan - anyone else had this? I'm not sure if it's because of the pressure applied and I'm a bit bruised or if it's just normal stretching and just a coincidence. See, the worrying doesn't stop, even after the 12 week scan Wink

Couldn't resist popping in to say "awwww, little munchkin!".

I think I'll be referring to my bump (when I eventually get upduffed!) as my little dragon/dragon egg. It might take some explaining or outright lies, but it's a private thing and a little link to you lot :). Also totally planning on having newborn baby pics taken with something dragon-related - like English's knitted cuteness, or that little dragon costume I've seen on amazon...

goes back to hiding in the corner under a blanket so no one knows I'm still here

lindamagoo · 03/06/2014 08:59

Aw Chilly what a lovely wee pic Smile I see you do the same as me and call baby He, I say he and him because it's what I'm used to after having two boys, will be thrown completely if He turns out to be a She Shock

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/06/2014 09:08

Ahhhh thats a lovely pic Chilly! Can't believe people can bitch like that at happy news!! Screw them!!

Fancy, glad you feel better after the vom. Stick to one toastie now! Wink

chillychicken · 03/06/2014 09:12

It's weird Linda, I refer to baby as a he because most websites do and I think it is a boy but during the scan I had an overwhelming feeling that it was a girl so I am now completely confused Grin

For some reason though I don't find using "he/his" as gender defining yet if I refer to the baby as "she/her" I'd be feeling that I'd be confirming baby was a girl. Does that make any sense at all? Probably not Grin

Definitely keeping it a surprise though, mainly because I'm already fed up of people asking if I know the sex or if I'm going to find out. I quite fancy keeping everyone in the dark, including myself!

Oh, the funniest question yesterday was "Was it planned?" No, no, we've only been married 8 years, this was a total surprise Grin

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 09:17

Ow ow ow something hurts. Where the hell is that phone number for the mw?!

PolytheneGirl · 03/06/2014 09:19

Well I've just crawled back into bed. I feel terrible. Normally sicky feeling plus a blocked nose and relentless cough. I hope I don't cough all through my scan on Fri!

Good luck Htb. I'm sure all is well.

Chilly I can't see your pic because I'm on my phone, I'll grab the laptop in a bit. I can't believe how horrible people can be Sad. As my Dad always says "don't let the bastards get you down!". We called DS BB when I was pg B for Baby and B for our surname. By the time he was born everyone was calling him BB! I had really bad sore tummy after 12 wk scan with DS too. I felt the sonographer (sp?) was really heavy handed. It was fine after a day or two though.

Chilly I dreamt of having a girl my whole life but the second I found out I was pregnant the first time i NEEDED a boy, lol, it just felt like it had to be and I felt the same the second time too, feel like I'm made to have boys, don't get me wrong I'd like a little girl this time but I'd be just as happy with another little man, tired of people saying "Aw how heartbreaking if you have another boy" why? Why would it be? Pisses me off Angry Sorry that went on longer than expected, lol Grin

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 09:35

It was a very sudden, localised and painful stomach cramp. Has now dulled to a normal stomach cramp that I can't work out if it's period-like or constipation. I called the mw she didn't ask me anything just said I need to see a dr. Doc has booked me in at 11. The sharp pain is gone and now I'm wondering if I'm making a fuss as will have to leave school, DH will want to come so he will need to leave his school. Can't decide whether to follow it through or ignore it. Instinct says it's fine but that pain was horrible.

Zermatt · 03/06/2014 09:43

Hope that the pain was just a round ligament or stretching pain fancy. It's good that it has gone as quickly as it came and you should go to the doctors anyway now that appointment is made.

Lovely to hear about your scans madam and chilly, Chilly that is a fab scan pic :)

I have a question for everyone regarding getting up to wee during the night, how many times do you think you're waking up to go, I went 5 times last night and that's been the same for the last week and it's not helping with my knackeredness! Not sure if this is normal or if I have a UTI?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/06/2014 09:44

I think you should go Fancy - if only to put your mind at ease. Hope all is ok. Try not to worry.

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 09:48

I'm more worried I'm creating a fuss over nothing than something is actually wrong. It's definitely calmed down now.
It wasn't round ligament pain zermatt I've had that unfortunately.
If the baby was bigger I'd say it had turned and was kicking me in the bowel. Is that possible?

lindamagoo · 03/06/2014 09:50

How far on are you fancy?

Zermatt · 03/06/2014 09:54

Never ever feel stupid or let anyone else make you feel so Fancy, this time is worrying enough as it is, so if you felt like you want a bit if reassurance from the doctor go and get it. I don't know if feeling the baby yet is possible or not, but it could be? Plus there is so much going on "down there" it could be all manner of quite harmless and normal things. But still keep your appointment, never hurts to be over cautious.

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 10:01

Between 8+5 and 9+4 linda

Thanks zermatt Smile

Had to get a message to DH (who was team teaching with the head!!) to call me, he's in a state I'm fine. Oops. Right I just need to work out who I need to tell to get out of school!!
