Oohhh I'd have found it difficult not to say something at that one! Got the speech about how expensive children are and that we'd have to make the garden safe.... we know!

Deep breaths.... I will ignore all jabs and smile through, she'll come around!

freneticfox · 15/06/2014 21:51

So happy to read about others still having coffee... I used to be a pretty heavy duty caffeine fixer... I can't quit completely, but I have managed to get it down to one cup in the morning. It's tough!!!

PolytheneGirl · 15/06/2014 21:58

I've had years of it Sammy but have learnt the hard way that it's just best to ignore it all or she gets really petty and starts bad mouthing me to anyone who'll listen. It's just not worth it.

Maybe all this first trimester tiredness is just a myth and it's just caffeine withdrawal?! Shock

Btw I think my little wriggler is loving the steak, hasn't stopped dancing around all evening. Grin

Retro, it just says Sainsburys non alcoholic sparkling wine on the label, white with swirly green writing, £5 for two bottles and it actually tastes like wine and not nauseatingly sweet!

Anyone want to join me in a celebratory dance? I have finished my reports, finally!! I can not say how happy that makes me! And I don't have to write another set for at least two years because I am not going back to work until Jan 16 at the earliest... 5 weeks and 3 days until summer holidays/mat leaves starts, yay!!

PolytheneGirl · 15/06/2014 22:14

GrinGrin Well done! Good effort!! GrinGrin

Thank you Poly, I like company for a good dance!

fancyacupoftea · 15/06/2014 22:27

Well done Barmy!!!

Bloody hell Poly you've just sussed pregnancy. It's DEFINITELY the caffeine withdrawal! Bastard books telling us to give it up.

So jealous that you're feeling movements already! All I have is wind.

PolytheneGirl · 15/06/2014 22:32

I'm chuffed that I can feel it early this time. It was 16 wks with DS and just 11 wks this time. I love it! Grin trying not to sound smug and failing

MrsBeeBeeBee · 15/06/2014 22:46

Awwww poly I can't wait for movements.

My DD used to have hiccups ALL the time. I remember the first time I was in a huge staff meeting and just sat giggling to myself.
I have to admit it did get annoying after a while when she had them about 3 times a day!

I've never been a huge coffee drinker, mainly just a nice Starbucks or something so I'm having no trouble with decaf. I'm a tea drinker.
I went off tea and coffee completely in 1st and 2nd trimester last time and i started drinking it again in 3rd.

toots Def too early for a Doppler. I remember at my 16 week midwife appointment it took my very experienced midwife ages to find the heartbeat.

RetroHippy · 15/06/2014 23:16

Dances with barmy. Must be an amazing feeling! Envy that you are on mat leave so soon!

Tilly28 · 16/06/2014 06:49

Morning all, not posted in a while but have been reading! It's been busy around here. Good luck to all of you with scans coming up! Mines in 4 days and I'm so excited however somehow got to write 8 more reports, do a class of writing levelling and plan and teach my final observation lesson of the year before then! Which is all well and good in normal circumstances when I can work until 10pm but at the moment I'm useless by the end of the day. Anyway will stop moaning and look forward to Friday. Can't wait to see the blob although getting a little nervous now and just hoping all is ok.

Barmy I am jealous your on maternity leave from the summer! It would be lovely not to be going back in Sept!!! :-). Congratulations on getting your reports finished!!!!

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 07:11

Poly I'm 10 weeks and I think I felt my little bean move last night, was putting it down to wind but it happened again this morning and doesn't really feel like wind. Could it be possible with this being my 3rd?

hanflan · 16/06/2014 09:04

Argh I've missed so much and I can't read everything as I'm at work.... I did check on frenetic though, so glad you had good news and bet you can't wait for the scan! I'm a bit jealous haha.

Also, I needn't have worried about lack of symptoms, painful boobs have kicked in. Yowza! I kinda like it though, makes me actually feel pregnant for the first time!

fancyacupoftea · 16/06/2014 10:00

I woke up in the middle of the night and I thought I felt something moving. But, I was half asleep and have no idea what it feels like anyway. I probably dreamt the whole thing.

Stuffing my face with cake.

This time on Thursday I will be arriving at the hospital for my scan eeeeek so excited!

freneticfox · 16/06/2014 10:06

Just 7 days to wait... Argh. Yep, going to be a long, long week.

Work is a bit weird this morning. I'm not exactly the most popular person in the office and I usually face a fair amount of apathy, but people seem torn between being nice because of my pregnancy and their usual stand offishness.

Bleurgh :(

spinningirl10 · 16/06/2014 10:21

Hi ladiesGrin

Just popping in to check up on Frenetic....yay, so pleased to hear it was good newsGrin

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 10:24

Hello ladies a self absorbed moan before a proper read back. woke up at 6 am yesterday morning with terribly itchy legs not unusual as I have psorasis put some lotion on them went back to bed. On closer inspection in shower I was covered in red bumps starting at very bottom of tummy onto hips through bikini line thighs knees shins. I got no sleep last night with the itching. Today the small bumps are massive and look like bites. I can count close to 100. I'm in agony. DP has not a single one. Went to boots they won't sell me anything because I'm pg. Docs have no appointments. I nearly cried at surgery so a doctor is going to call. Does anyone have any tips of itchy remedies or anthistimines that are pg safe or any idea whats bitten me or read anywhere else anyone with a similar problem? I'm desperate!

hanflan · 16/06/2014 10:30

Oh broody You poor thing! Can you put some calamine lotion on until you know what it is? Just to soothe the itching for now? How strange!

fancyacupoftea · 16/06/2014 10:30

Oh no Broody that sounds horrible! You can take the one-day antihistamine when needed (according to my doctor and I checked and it's a category B drug which means no issues have ever been reported but there is no concrete evidence that it's absolutely safe. Although it is.) I've had loratadine when my hayfever has been bad. Try one of those and hopefully it will help enough until you get a docs app.

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 10:33

Maybe ask in a chemist and see what they advise for the itching, it sounds awful, hope the doc phones you soon. And like hanflan said, maybe done calamine lotion for now

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 10:36

I will get some calamine lotion I don't think I've ever used it before can you get it in supernarkets? Sorry I'm being thick or can't think straight because of the itch is 1 a day the name or any pill that's 1 a day?

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 10:37

oh loratadine is the name?

hanflan · 16/06/2014 10:42

Loratadine seems to be an odd one, some people's doctors have told them it's fine, but mine has told me not to take it during pg! I'm only allowed the nasal spray for my hayfever :(

broodysnoopstie · 16/06/2014 10:42

Lin I said to chemist have you got anything for the itch not even a cream she said I'm not selling you anything without a prescription!
