Despite the SYMPTOMS, I don't feel pregnant. And I haven't linked the SYMPTOMS to there being a baby inside me yet. Hoping I'll feel more connected when I can feel it.

lindamagoo · 14/06/2014 13:44

Thank you Poly, I know I'm just being paranoid, can't seem to help it just now Hmm

MademoiselleG · 14/06/2014 14:50

Hurray for the poo fancy ! (Who'd have thought I would ever say that...?)

And poly I didn't even really get a chance to do a 'stealing her thunder' thingy to SIL as she immediately got obsessed with dates, and how far along I was, and when we conceived, and did I know when they told us (of course not), because I must have done (impossible, hadn't even started the 2ww then) and that's it's ridiculous to count only 40 weeks as it's 41, everyone knows that (France is the only place I know that counts 41 weeks) and blaaaablaaablah. Oh and now she has gestational diabetes so all we ever hear about is her diet, how she's already lost loads of weight and isn't it incredible? And the hassle of insuline injections (ok-granted, that must be an absolute bugger) and blablablah. My pregnancy being rather uneventful in comparison, we basically never talk about it - and that's actually fine by me Grin

I've made pastilla today - ate far too much and now about to have a nap. Oh the life Wink

MademoiselleG · 14/06/2014 14:51

linda it's probably just all the excitement about your ds's birthday! How is it all going?

lindamagoo · 14/06/2014 15:03

Stressful Made, lol. House is like a bomb site, Jayden is way to hyper and I just want to sleep Smile other than that it's been a fab day, god knows where I'm going to put everything and a friend brought us some stuff for the baby aswell, need a bigger house and soon, lol. On the plus side we have a fantastic looking trifle/cheesecake for later, yum yum Smile

RetroHippy · 14/06/2014 15:55

I could massively go for cheesecake right now. In fact, I have to have cheesecake today. And eat it in a truly disgusting manner.

Midwife was lovely today. I need to change doctors since we've moved but I like her. I know another midwife will most likely be lovely too though. Should get a letter through for my scan soon, somewhere between 12 and 14 weeks.

Was nice though, just sat and answered no to all the medical questions. I feel like I'm nice and straightforward at least. She did say they like easy pregnancies!

DH is just making himself a nice proper coffe now we've got the kitchen a bit more organised Envy I'm not off coffee yet. Had a decaf from Costa the other day which was pretty good, but just not the same!

SIL on finding out, instantly told me I had to eat lots of fish. When I replied that we'd had tuna sandwiches for lunch, got 'you can't have tuna,' Hmm

Helping to move, she found a (very old) bag of liquorice. I was duly told I couldn't eat too much liquorice. I nearly ate the rest of the bag just to piss her off. It wasn't even mine! I don't like the stuff!

Feel bad now though cause busybody friend has put aside four bags of boy and girl baby clothes for me, and offered her Moses basket.

Spotti · 14/06/2014 16:00

Mmmmm, pie!

PolytheneGirl · 14/06/2014 16:06

Who are you kidding Retro we all know there's no space in your loft! I'd never heard about liquorice? And you can have up to 3 whole tins of tuna a week! I myself have 2 BBQs to go to tomorrow and will be eating my steak any which way I choose rare!

Happy birthday to your DS Linda! It's all go at yours at the moment. Make sure you get a rest.

Fancy I think all this poop trouble is probably getting all your pushing muscles well prepared for labour. Silver lining!

Good point Poly! I remember this girl in an old OBEM who pushed a couple of times and pop! A baby! On being congratulated by the mw, she just said: oh yeah, I'm akaAha constipated!!GrinGrin

What the hell is the deal with liquorice?!

sammyj85 · 14/06/2014 17:10

Bought another clear blue digital today because I wanted to see the numbers change (dh not impressed with my £9 whim at first!) and seem to have slipped a week!

lindamagoo · 14/06/2014 19:48

Lol Poly, atleast imagine me as the thin one with hair then Grin

Spotti · 14/06/2014 20:16

Ha ha linda - the thin one with hair it is then!

Poly, I just did a dribble of bleach in the bottom of the pot (I found some baby food storage pot things in my kitchen drawers - bought them for freezing herbs I think but only used a few - which are ironically good for peeing in - and they have lids so technically you could save your FMU and not get wee-covered ham >lols at fancy for the wee ham memory

freneticfox · 14/06/2014 21:03

Evening all! Told my Mum and MIL today, feel SO relieved knowing that if something does go wrong we've got their support. Second blood test tomorrow morning to gauge my hormone levels. I'm hoping an empty egg sac just means I conceived later than I thought. Pain in my side has all but subsided, so remaining positive.

MademoiselleG · 14/06/2014 22:49

V cute pictures Linda :)

I have everything crossed for you frenetic! I too just had an empty sac at my first scan with first pregnancy vas the 'empty sac' is now my gorgeous 2.5yr old dd!

htbftm · 14/06/2014 22:55

Got my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow fox. Im glad you ve got extra support there, tho I'm sure you wont need it!xx

PolytheneGirl · 14/06/2014 23:26

Trying my hardest to watch the England match but I'm not even going to make it till half time!
