Good luck for tomorrow Frenetic.

Prune juice is disgusting. I can't drink this shit every day.

htbftm · 14/06/2014 23:30

My very male household have bets on how long it ll be until I fall asleep lol! Had a nap earlier to give me a chance lol!

fancyacupoftea · 14/06/2014 23:31

Thierry Henry in his hot cardie is the only thing getting me through to half time

htbftm · 14/06/2014 23:34

ooh, I bought knittng today too! Cant wait to start it - a cute little bonnet!

freneticfox · 14/06/2014 23:35

Hope you are right about not needing to worry! Actually just looking forward to breathing a sigh of relief and getting this trimester out the way!

PolytheneGirl · 14/06/2014 23:40

Loving Henry too!

Fox I'm very hopeful for you. If it was ectopic I think the pain would be constant and I have read so many stories of seeing an empty sac at early scans but all being ok at the next. I'm keeping everything crossed for you Thanks

Waiting is the worst fox! 12 weeks took forever to come! Hopefully tomorrow you will get the reassurance that will enable you to relax a bit. xx

Zermatt · 15/06/2014 00:55

Glad you're feeling good fox it's so much better when you can tell a few people closest to you, and it's a fab sign that the pain is subsiding.

Your SIL needs to do a bit of research retro tuna is totally fine as long as you don't have it every day, tuna, mayo and onion sandwiches with cheese and onion crisps got me through the first 8 weeks of my pregnancy!

fancy you may find that connection kicks in at your 12 wk scan, I felt quite disconnected before that and them Wham had a real "gosh that's my baby that is" moment.

We got up at 5.30am to watch the England match, time difference here sucks :)

Starbright24 · 15/06/2014 08:09

I didn't even attempt to watch the Football
Asleep by 10. Oh now snoring away beside me as he did stay up.

lindamagoo · 15/06/2014 09:05

In such a bad mood today, had strange nightmares all night so never slept much, kids are driving me insane and oh is lying sleeping off a hangover on the couch, he never even made it up to bed. Think I'm heading for a very "Teenage" type strop and storming out the door today AngryAngryAngry

freneticfox · 15/06/2014 09:27

Just back from hospital, they said I should hear back from the Dr by midday...they don't hang around with us preggos do they!

Six weeks today and oh boy, am I feeling queasy.

Zermatt · 15/06/2014 09:41

Sorry I lost the thread a bit Frenetic, what did you have to go to the hospital for? Glad you'll be hearing back so soon.

freneticfox · 15/06/2014 09:46

I had a baseline blood test on Friday morning; I had severe pains on Thurs and an empty egg sac on internal scan. They just want to check that my hormones are going in the right direction. Pain has subsided and I have no bleeding so I have everything crossed that all is well.

RetroHippy · 15/06/2014 09:49

Zermatt, my SIL is the person for whom the phrase 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing' was invented! She does her research, then adamantly believes the first thing she reads and everything else is bollocks. She is also massively into attachment parenting, which is great, but I know I'm going to get this Hmm if I don't co-sleep, or if I ever dared to let my LO whimper without rushing to it. DNiece is nearly 2, still in their room, and if she cries, she gets picked up every time. It works for them, but might not for us and she's the judgiest person I know.

frenetic, that's great they're seeing you so soon, hopefully it will put your mind at rest. It is lovely telling people. I'm 8 weeks Monday, and with no bleeding or anything worrying I'm feeling more confident. Most of the family know now (after FIL kept letting it slip!) and it's nice to feel special and not like it's something which Must be Kept Quiet.

Thinking about it, my dates going on LMP rather than ovulation are 5 days behind (super short cycle), so I'm definitely not going to get my 12 week scan before we break up Sad I was looking forward to a fuss! Still, by the time I get back I will have scan pics and hopefully a mini-bump to show off in the staff room Grin they're a lovely bunch, I can't wait to tell them!

Zermatt · 15/06/2014 10:00

I see, I knew you'd had pains that had subsided and had had a scan and they were going to check you again in a week, didn't realise they'd done bloods as well, glad you're getting such good care and does indeed all sound positive. Hope the doctor doesn't keep you waiting too long today lovely.

Your SIL would drive me nuts retro I'm very much from the live and let live life philosophy, I would never dream of giving my opinions univited especially about something as personal as how you chose to give birth to or raise your own child. I wouldn't be able to do attachment parenting either, I like some parts of it but would take whatever I like from all theories etc and just mould it all to whatever suits me and DH's lives and own styles. Plus you never ever know what kind of baby you'll have or other problems that you just can't plan for. If she does try to give judgements about what you do as a mum, just take a deep breath count to 10, and just tell her you'd never comment on her parenting choices so please don't do so on yours.

Lovely that your work is such a good crowd and you can look forward to telling them, coming back with a bump will be v exciting :) I'm telling my work this week, can't wait to get it over with.

RetroHippy · 15/06/2014 10:16

I think I only feel so relaxed about it as I now have a temporary contract till Christmas, so they'll be readvertising and I don't need to worry about pissing off the boss with mat leave cover when I've only been there a year. I'll just waddle off guilt-free and laden with presents after Christmas.

Boobs are definitely growing again. And hurt more. Last night I dreamed I was bf my baby in a luxury swimming pool changing cubicle. Weird. No more cheesecake before bed.

RetroHippy · 15/06/2014 10:18

And yes, she drives me bonkers. I've got used to it as she's family, but I suspect pregnancy and having a baby may push me over the edge!

Knottyknitter · 15/06/2014 10:20

It's scan eve at the knitters'!

I have the most severe case of Christmas Eve - itis ever!

DP is still in bed after watching the footie last night...I balanced his Father's Day card on him when I got up, but I be the doesn't spot it. Am going to have to clean the freezer too (boak) something in there stinks (we don't use it much) I did ask DP to have a go at it while I was in London yesterday, but nothing done, still it'll keep my mind off it being SCAN DAY TOMORROW!!!!

Zermatt · 15/06/2014 10:25

Yay excited for you Knotty, hope tomorrow goes well for you and today goes past extra fast!

You've just reminded me spotti how did your DH react to the Father's Day card?

freneticfox · 15/06/2014 10:26

Nurse just called, my levels are up 66% so they're happy that it's a viable pregnancy!! I have to have a reassurance scan again at 7 weeks to ensure that all is well.

SO relieved!

lindamagoo · 15/06/2014 10:37

Aw frenetic that is fantastic news, so happy for you Smile

Retro I agree on the no more cheesecake before bed, my dreams were all about witches and zombies and some really scary shit after eating that trifle/cheesecake

RetroHippy · 15/06/2014 10:43

Yey frenetic! That's such good news! How long till 7 weeks? Envy of your early scan Wink

Knotty, I bet you don't sleep a wink tonight! Just tooooooo excited Grin

fancyacupoftea · 15/06/2014 11:06

I WANT CHEESECAKE.

So much work to do today. Why am I even here? Oh I know - procrastinating.

Zermatt I wish I could say that I will feel that at the scan on Thurs but I've already had 2 scans and still felt quite separated from it! Still no realisation that it's inside me.

So happy for you Frenetic. How long until the 7 week reassurance scan?

Co-sleeping was vetoed in our house before it was even discussed (fine with me) as DH is a sleeptalker/walker/mover and has whacked me in the face enough times in his sleep - he's terrified he would do the same to the baby. Fair enough!

fancyacupoftea · 15/06/2014 11:06

As in accidentaly whacks, not intentional punches obvs.

freneticfox · 15/06/2014 11:09

23rd,so a week tomorrow. Going to be a long wait!!
