Happy birthday Linda's DS2! For tomorrow of course.

Frenetic is fybogel disgusting?

broodysnoopstie · 09/06/2014 21:28

hello lovely ladies. Thanks for all the luck and Fx! I too am a bit constipated and Fox I get cramps (sometimes stabby) all the time. Hope it leaves you alone soon x

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 21:42

fancy - the orange one isn't great, I much prefer the lemon one. I find it's more bearable with less water, it's a bit gritty and I'm not sure how it'd be if you're feeling nauseated, but it's fine, honest :)

fancyacupoftea · 09/06/2014 22:29

I've downed a couple of senokot. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning. No bumsick please.

bellaboo88 · 10/06/2014 08:05

Ladies, has anyone creatively told their family's?

I'm planning on telling them Sunday when they've just got back off holiday/fathers day with a cake with it written on?

Any ideas? Xx

bellaboo88 · 10/06/2014 08:08

Ooh & also top tips for the boulder boobs? I'm in agony! Xx

RetroHippy · 10/06/2014 08:40

bellaboo, I switched out my underwriting for GenieBras from BHS about two weeks ago. Slightly more shapely than a sports bra, but loads more comfy than a 'normal' bra. I also hug a pillow at night which sort of supports one boob and stops me rolling onto the other. I am not large breasted by any stretch of the imagination though, so not a clue how the 'larger boobed' ladies are faring!

We told my MIL by giving her a gift bag full of positive tests. She thought they were toothbrushes at first, then cried! My dad is getting a 'Happy Fathers Day Grandad' card, which will be very satisfying as it'll serve the double whammy of reminding him he's old whilst also giving him the guilts for forgetting my 30th Hmm.

RetroHippy · 10/06/2014 08:41

underwiring mortgages on the brain Grin

freneticfox · 10/06/2014 09:19

I can't wait to tell my Mum and MIL! We're going to visit in a couple of weeks to take them out for lunch (we do this every couple of months anyway). I make jewellery, so I'm making them both a bracelet and I have these really pretty 'Special Nan' charms. Can't wait to see who twigs first!

My FIL lives in the US, so he'll probably get told by Skype, nothing too creative there! Sadly my Dad isn't around anymore, my single biggest regret about not having children sooner. He would have been an incredible Grandpa!

MelMc73 · 10/06/2014 09:43

fancy try Sennokot.....I did and it seems to be working. Safe to take in pregnancy - just 2 tablets every night.

linda happy birthday to DS2 - hope he has a wonderful day. It's my DS's 8th birthday on Friday (13th!) - god I feel old lol

Zermatt · 10/06/2014 10:28

A friend told me on the weekend that the most accurate way to work out your real due date is if you know the date of conception (which we pretty much do due to obsessive planning on my part) then you just add 266 days, she said that way was spot on 3 of her 4 girls. That makes mine 23rd Dec I think.

broodysnoopstie · 10/06/2014 10:59

I just did it zermatt and it puts me on 30th Jan which is about right I think as some due date calculators put me at 27 jan some 1st Feb..

broodysnoopstie · 10/06/2014 11:05

There is even a website that will count it for you http://www.convertunits.com/dates/daysfromdate/

Zermatt · 10/06/2014 11:06

Ooh I like that website thanks Broody. How are you doing at the moment?

broodysnoopstie · 10/06/2014 11:11

I'm Ok thanks Smile I can't lie I'm wishing away the days until Thurs to go for my scan as I've still got spotting on and off. I'm quietly terrified but DP keeps telling me to think positive. He's being so good. I'm tired all the time and he's doing lots of things for me. How are you?

Zermatt · 10/06/2014 11:22

He sounds very wise and lovely, not long to go now til Thurs. One of my best friends spotted all the way through her entire pregnancy, and gave birth to a very healthy little girl at the end of it, so it can be normal and doesn't always have to mean something sinister. I'm good thanks, I've got my 12 wk scan on Friday so am also wishing this week away.

PolytheneGirl · 10/06/2014 11:32

Hi. Sorry I've been absent no excuses, I'm just feeling really slow right now Hmm

Happy b'day to your DS Linda. I hope you all have a great day.

Broody I hope you spotting has slowed down now. Best of luck for the scan. Fx

DS took our scan pic into nursery school yesterday and told everyone he could find that he's going to be a big brother. It's so nice to see him so excited. Grin

I'm so glad the news is out. Jersey dresses all the way now!

broodysnoopstie · 10/06/2014 12:00

ZERMATT thanks for that, I love a happy story. Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed that is me too, as whilst it is on and off, when it's on it's very heavy, I can feel it happening (tmi) and very dark and alarming! Good luck for your 12 week scan, how exciting, let's hope it's a happy end of the week for us both. My DP has his moments but is being particularly lovely at the moment I have to agree!

broodysnoopstie · 10/06/2014 12:02

Poly your DS sounds so sweet . Bless him, I'm happy for you, lovely that everyone knows, hooray for Jersey dresses!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 10/06/2014 13:48

Happy birthday to your ds Linda!

Broody - Try to stay positive! Keeping. Everything crossed for you.

PolytheneGirl · 10/06/2014 15:45

Anyone else going really freckly? I mean I'm pretty freckly anyway but I am spotting new ones all over. I think the bit of sun I got this weekend didn't really help the situation. I got one new one on the palm of my hand when pg with DS, I call it my Harry freckle! but this time I've got dozens already!

broodysnoopstie · 10/06/2014 16:14

Thanks English. It's overwhelming how people I don't know can be such good friends!

Poly I'm definitely tanning quicker. Get strap marks after eating lunch in the sun! My DP has freckly skin I hope our bean gets his skin not mine. I think it's gorgeous! Love your Harry freckle so cute.

lindamagoo · 10/06/2014 16:23

What a long but fantastic day. Jackson has had a great birthday with daddy and I had a great day on the nursery trip with Jayden. A bit of drama near the end of the trip as one of the mums fell and knocked herself out so she's off to A&E, was horrible to see.

PolytheneGirl · 10/06/2014 16:29

Oh dear Linda I hope she's ok. That must have been so scary for all the children. Shock Where did you go for your trip?

Broody I have had to learn to love my freckles, I hated them as a teen but have to admit they are very cute on kids. I sometimes find myself staring at my Harry freckle with a little smile on my face. I'm a bit odd like that!

lindamagoo · 10/06/2014 16:34

Only 1 of the kids saw it happen, it started raining so the kids were playing in the indoor ball pit and 3 of the mums decided to play outside on a big bouncy thing that was soaking wet, she slipped off and KO'd herself, she won't do that again in a hurry. I've got it on video for you've been framed, lol. We were at a place called Muddy Boots, was a fab wee day
