I would not have wanted anyone other that oh and mw to see me in labour, don't imagine I was a pretty sight, lol

lindamagoo · 09/06/2014 13:03

Baby brain has kicked in here! Dropped ds off at nursery and said to the teachers "see you all in the morning for the nursery trip" to be met with the response "so you're not coming back for Jayden today then?" Arghhhhhhh! Doh!

fancyacupoftea · 09/06/2014 13:18

I'm a bit confused about why she was saying things like 'true what they say about contractions! Feels like etc' when she already has a 3 yr old? I don't see it as any different to being on OBEM but this particular woman annoys me.

Zermatt · 09/06/2014 13:37

Snap fancy, I thought that when I read it too!

Her doctor was fit though.

fancyacupoftea · 09/06/2014 14:53

Yeah well fit. He can give me an internal exam any day.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 09/06/2014 14:54

I think I could quite possibly die of tiredness today! 3 more hours til home time!

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 15:01

Argh, I have a dentist's appointment at 4 (redoing a filling) and it only just occurred to me that having anaesthetic might be an issue.

I already feel queasy this afternoon, not looking forward to this!

RetroHippy · 09/06/2014 17:06

Hope the dentist went ok frenetic!

My fanjo aches today. Not sure what that's all about Hmm

2nd wedding anniversary though, so I'm off out to eat my body weight in tapas Grin I'm hungry!!!

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 17:30

Happy anniversary retro, enjoy the tapas!

Dentist went OK actually, I had DH read me some facts from the QI book on my kindle ;)

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 17:51

Just started getting stabbing pains above my foof, no bleeding or anything, but it bluddy hurts :/

RetroHippy · 09/06/2014 18:00

Stabbing pains doesn't sound good Confused. Mine is more like a pelvic floor muscle ache. Probably my body nagging me to do my kegels...

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 18:07

It comes and goes, mainly calming when I sit down. Trying not to get over-worried because I know that'll do nowt!

Knottyknitter · 09/06/2014 18:20

Local anaesthetic is fine in the doses involved, frenetic; same stuff they use for amnio etc and before you have a drip put in in labour, after all!

Glad to hear it went ok. Hope the pain has settled? If it's any worse do get checked over to put your mind at ease?

I picked out all the threads I need for my WTP project today, had to order a couple, so will get started soon.

Also told my boss today! He's running a tutorial for all of us local registrars on the afternoon of my scan next Monday, so I had to let him know why I'll be skiving! He was very nice about it, and is going to keep schtum until I say (hopefully the following morning!) d

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 18:23

Pain is still coming and going, more going than coming luckily. If I'm still getting them tomorrow I'll call the midwife, maybe? My GP's surgery tends to be useless!

fancyacupoftea · 09/06/2014 19:10

Yes leave it a night then call the mw. How long has it been going on? Cramps aches and pains (including stabbing ones!) are more common in the evening.

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 19:23

Just since yesterday. Riiight above my bits. Like the pain I sometimes get during the first few days of AF, so of course I want to run around the house screaming. Naturally.

I don't think I've been 'allocated' a midwife yet, but my local hospital has a general number, I guess it'd be best to call them?

sammyj85 · 09/06/2014 20:33

Fx for you broody hope the scan puts you at ease.

Also hope that pain does one frenetic!

Having a tmi problem here. Haven't done a number 2 in 3 days, is that normal??!

fancyacupoftea · 09/06/2014 20:47

Normal for early pregnancy, yes Sammy! My advice is do what you can to get the bastard out now, you don't want to end up with a 'situation'.

Frenetic I get lots of cramps - ones like the ones you're describing. Don't panic yet but do get it checked out tomorrow. Call your doctor, the mw will probably just tell you to see the doctor anyway (mine did when I called up with cramps) and they can advise whether you should get it checked out.

Sorry to all those who once again need to read that I suffer from constipation and cramps. Have I mentioned it before?

freneticfox · 09/06/2014 20:48

sammy I was having that problem until earlier! I take Fibogel daily anyway after I had a problem with hems (lovely, TMI!) last year - my GP suggested taking it twice a day for a few days a week once I fall pregnant (I told her we were trying) and the first time I took two sachets - sorted!

sammyj85 · 09/06/2014 20:50

Lol 'situation'! Thank you ladies, I will get on the case!

MademoiselleG · 09/06/2014 21:00

Well fancy you never know, I had constipation for weeks and now it's the complete opposite end of the spectrum! There's hope for us all Wink

fancyacupoftea · 09/06/2014 21:06

I'd like that. It might help with the bloating!

The 6 pieces of bread for dinner CERTAINLY haven't helped with the bloating.

lindamagoo · 09/06/2014 21:10

Just back from a BBQ, ate far too much and feel like the size of a house now. Going to have a nice early night as it's ds2's 3rd birthday tomorrow and ds1's nursery trip aswell, busy busy day Smile

MademoiselleG · 09/06/2014 21:23

Have a lovely day tomorrow linda , sounds exciting!

I AM the size of a house. I swear that I look 6 months pg in the evening, when I don't try to hold in my stomach. I should have really done a few crunches before getting pg again. I'm NEVER going to be able to hide this at work until July 17th!!
