Aw mrsb that's absolutely rubbish. A woman at my yoga is 40+5 and had her sweep yesterday but the midwife said she didn't think it would have any effect either. When's your induction booked for? Hope today's the day for you.

Aww thanks everyone, glad I won't be just typing away to myself!!

Lolly woohoo for the mat leave countdown too. It must feel so nice to get to a decent length of time left!

misskgb hope you've managed to shift the little one about a bit. Can't say I'm really looking forward to that part of pregnancy, sounds really quite uncomfortable. Keep the maternity leave countdown going to cheer you up!!

23+6 today. I know it sounds grim but I'll be a bit relieved when I get to 24 weeks just so I know if anything was to happen I could still have my maternity leave. It's always bothered me the thought of having to go to work and still care about anything if something was to happen to the little one.

Lolly I keep looking on eBay for Radley changing bags too, occasionally there's a good one!

H don't worry we won't leave you! My parents are here at the moment hence the lack of posts. They are trying to keep me on my feet and occupied as starting to go slightly insane Confused

On Friday night I had some really intense contractions, tried out the tens machine I'd hired which stopped them. Seem to be having contractions everyday but nothing is happening and getting fed up Sad

misskjb hope you're feeling more comfortable? it's awful when they get in certain positions, but such a relief when they suddenly move!

mrsb87 · 07/10/2014 09:39

I'm avoiding those Radley bags!! I have seriously expensive taste and not the pocket to fund it lol. I have a Blooming Gorgeous bag that I got off Ebay for £33 which I was quite chuffed with.
h my induction is booked Thursday, so not long to wait thank goodness! So so uncomfortable, ready for this baby now!

binkybunny · 07/10/2014 09:47

I'm hoping dh or my parents might get me a Radley to cheer me up.... I keep dropping hints Wink

I'd love an end date but if I get induced I have to go to not such a great hospital so desperately want my baby to arrive before then to go to the lovely mlu. I really don't fancy labouring on a massive ward or in the corridor, which tends to happen at the hospital!

misskgb · 07/10/2014 09:54

Fingers crossed for you binky on the arriving before an induction and the Radley bag! Counting down the hours mrsb :-)

nope, she's been in that position for weeks, just as she's getting bigger, her bum is poking up and out more and more and she has no intention of moving. She tends to relax a bit in the morning so I wake up feeling fine and come to work and then around this time it's like she goes rock hard and in leaning on a brick wall. I was almost in tears last night!!! My bump doesn't move so when she's high, things like putting on shoes and pulling up trousers are impossible. Trying not to get mad at her or upset, but it doesn't half hurt (she knows I'm talking about her- she's kicking against the desk as I type!)

I know what you mean h there are little milestones that you get to and secretly go 'phew'. With each of the weekly birth club email things that come through, there's some more positive news about survival rates and it just makes the end seem that little bit more in sight!

mrsb87 · 07/10/2014 10:30

I'm quite lucky as the consultant lead unit is now in the hospital 10th minutes away and not a 40 minute drive. It's all brand new (literally opened last week!) So if anything I'm quite looking forward to seeing what it's all like. They now have rooms with beds for partners too so I'm hoping one of those is available Smile

misskgb sounds like you've got to the stage where anything past knee level is twilight zone! Dh is now amazing and feet drying lol! I hit an all time low yesterday, the midwife wanted a urine sample and I couldn't reach around my bump to collect it!! I managed to collect a couple of dribbles that's it Hmm

weebairn · 07/10/2014 17:48

Never need much encouragement to share baby pics!!

I've had a lovely week- Abby is one week old today- better than last time I think where I was more shell shocked and exhausted from labour. Despite milk everywhere and sore bits.... God I am so glad not to be pregnant!! Keep the faith ladies!!

Glad the end is in sight mrsb. You must be so fed up :( Really hope it all kicks off before Thursday anyway!

weebairn · 07/10/2014 17:59

Thinking of you too binkybunny - end of pregnancy is so shit!! Hope it's not long until you have your baby x

misskgb · 07/10/2014 19:45

Haha mrsb that made me chuckle. Yes, toilet times are interesting! Trying not to complain as I'm still sleeping so at least I'm not uncomfortable and tired!

Still very adorable weeb! ?

mrshjb · 08/10/2014 09:33

Soooo cute weebairn :)

Oh god, doing a wee sample is hard enough at the best of times but I imagine it gets crazy down the line!

24 weeks today and hello to more stretching pain and night time leg cramps Smile.....!!

mrshjb · 08/10/2014 16:29

mrsb just read it's a full moon tonight so baby will definitely come....!!

OP posts:
binkybunny · 09/10/2014 07:20

Aww weeb I'm just a little bit Envy of you and your baby. Even with full moon, baths, curry and pineapple and after so many promising signs I'm still babyless. 40 weeks tomorrow, 1 week until first sweep and less than 2 until induction!

I really wanted to stay calm and not bothered about the baby arriving, but I'm really quite nervous about the birth so just want it over. Also want to be able to walk more than a few hundred metres without pain.

OK enough early morning whinging, off to bounce on my gym ball!

mrshjb · 09/10/2014 09:40

Boooo binky damn full moon has failed you!! Really hope you don't have to wait too long. Must be getting imminent now if you're having a lot of signs? Happy bouncing!

OP posts:
weebairn · 09/10/2014 11:20

Is mrsb being induced today? GOOD LUCK!!!

The end is just really shit binky. Take each day at a time.... (Even though they feel like years)

Most women will labour naturally before 42 weeks ( over 95 % I think) so no reason to think you'll be induced yet...

I was so grumpy last time when I went over. A pregnancy massage and a nice meal out with dp helped a bit... Went into labour 40+4 in the end had the baby 40+5. It did feel like an eternity though...

misskgb · 09/10/2014 12:24

I think baby may have dropped! Still got sore ribs but definitely less pressure and feeling some relief! Not getting my hopes up but enjoying it for now!

Was in Hitchin yesterday and found the 2 hour each way journey very uncomfortable. Relaxing today at home & dh is off with me tomorrow.

Wishing binky & mrsb labours that come soon and pain free!! Can't wait to hear about your arrivals. How u getting on weeb?

weebairn · 09/10/2014 12:36

I am fine thanks missk… quite blissed out with baby. Feeding is going well. Abby's not a bad sleeper at all (1-3 hours between feeds at night, but doesn't take long to settle after a feed, tends to just go straight back to sleep, and I can breastfeed lying down so I stay rested)… and she is willing to be put down to sleep rather than being held!! (This was not the case with her sister till 6 weeks or so!) Toddler is madly in love with the baby which is so cute (and I'm so lucky she's not jealous). Last night I got into the bath with both of them, it was the cutest thing ever, she helped me wash the baby, then we covered my bed in towels and had naked cuddles and dried them both, toddler thought it was hilarious… lush!

DP still on paternity leave so childcare is not too stressful either. My mum's been around a lot and is coming back when he goes back to work.

I do still feel quite wiped out from birth and am spending a fair bit of time in bed, still bleeding a fair amount, not walking at any great speed! Bit sore and feel a bit washed out so trying to eat & drink enough. Body doesn't feel like my own at all. But it's only been 9 days. Mustn't be impatient…

Exciting that your bump has dropped! It's great to be able to eat again - but then you find you have to wee every 3 minutes! You can't win!

binkybunny · 10/10/2014 07:48

Aw weeb family life sounds lovely!

mrsb went in for induction yesterday, no news yet though (we're on the same antenatal club thread)

It's happy EDD for me, I'm hoping my baby might be one of the 4% that arrive on their date... but prob wishful thinking. My parents go home today so I'll prob start as they get home and end up having a 10 hour round trip!

misskgb · 10/10/2014 09:57

Happy EDD binky and good luck mrsb so exciting!

Glad you're getting on well weeb I've actually been eating really well even though she's been high. She's on my right so not squeezing my entire tummy! Means I have a lopsided bump tho!!

Lolly84 · 10/10/2014 19:34

Hi ladies,
Happy EDD Binky and good luck MrsB! Looking forward to news from both of you!

I'm 33 weeks today which means 4 week countdown to finishing work. Getting a bit harder now so trying to work from home as much as I can.

Not much new from me. Hubby got a promotion this week which was great timing. Taking him out for dinner tonight.

Had my first antenatal class today which was great. Hubby couldn't make it but was comfortable without him. He is going to make next weeks but doubt he will make anymore of them due to work.

Have a great weekend ladies xxx

binkybunny · 12/10/2014 10:03

Hi all, still no baby here and no more signs after last weekend other than really bad backache, which I think is just that and not early labour.

I'm 40+2 and have til Friday for this baby to arrive herself before a sweep and I'll be booked for an induction. Trying to stay calm but I'm starting to feel quite stressed out. If it comes to being induced I'm going to ask for a cs instead, can't stand the thought of potentially long labour then possibly going into theatre anyway. Would have loved a natural as possible water birth Sad

Congrats on DH's promotion Lolly hope you had a nice meal out?

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend?

mrshjb · 12/10/2014 11:44

Booo I sent a message this morning and it didn't come through for some reason!

binky sorry to hear there is no baby for you yet. Did mrsb get induced in the end? She might be able to give you some reassurance about it?! Really hope it doesn't come to that though. Do you know when they would be looking at inducing you if necessary?

Can't remember what else I wrote..... Something about family life sounding lovely weebairn, and how it's really nice to hear you say that it can be alright having a newborn, and we shouldn't all be savouring every moment of pregnancy because it's only going to get worse etc etc.

lolly I wrote something about it being good news about your DH getting the promotion and I hope you had a nice night out? Also really good to have only 4 weeks at work. Hope it flies for you! How did you find the antenatal classes? Do you have many to go to?

How's the bump misskgb? Having any relief from baby's bum yet?!

I finished my message off whining about feeling a bit rubbish. But I'll spare you all from that this time!!!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend :) xx

OP posts:
misskgb · 12/10/2014 14:09

Nope-arse is still in my ribs! She's definitely not dropped. Waking 2/3 times in the night as am uncomfortable but dh being great-reassures & cuddles me a lot. MW onTues so will get her to check my ribs out

Why u feeling so rubbish?

mrshjb · 12/10/2014 14:27

Ah sounds grim and very uncomfortable. How many weeks are you now?

Just generally feeling a bit uncomfortable. Can't lie on my back without it getting sore, side hurts if I lie on my side. Had quite a bit of indigestion and reflux. Just generally tired and a bit run down! Oh and my brain has stopped working! Got a week off the week after next though so that should hopefully liven me up a bit!

OP posts:
misskgb · 12/10/2014 16:34

36+1 and so ready for this baby to come out (sorry binky & mrsb for moaning already!) Dh says my ribs feel like they're protruding out of my side!

Are u using a v pillow? I've found mine such a relief when my pelvis has been sore/felt heavy. Propping up a little more than usual has helped at times too. The things we go through!
