I posted on the pregnancy section earlier. I'm just so down with the sickness and exhaustionHmm, I don't feel like myself at all.

Am 9+6

LittleSarah · 11/05/2014 18:27

Hey dotty, I know how you feel! Terrible day today, really tired, nauseous and down. Blinking work tomorrow too. Got a long weekend next weekend and can't wait!

Kind of a weird question; can anyone else actually see their pulse in their tummy? When I lie down I can see tummy ripple as my pulse jumps. Odd!

DrewsWife · 11/05/2014 19:03

Hear you all with the exams etc. I'm doing an MSc part time and I've got a three-day field course next weekend. I love them normally but I am not looking forward to it at the moment. I'm exhausted, not keeping a lot down yet putting on weight, over emotional and weepy. Three days in a field centre working from 9-9 is going to be knackering. Going straight from work on Friday night and will be away until Monday afternoon. :(

I also really hope that pregnancy brain is a myth.

mopsytop · 11/05/2014 19:58

I haven't got the dread of exams but instead the dread of marking a huugggeee number of exam scripts and coursework essays (undergraduate). It is always an immense job and hugely tedious and exhausting. So I'm dreading it.

mopsytop · 11/05/2014 20:00

(find it daunting/tiring enough when not pregnant! urrgghh. I always take great care to be very consistent and fair in my grading but it means concentrating really hard. So I don't think the next few weeks are going to be fun. Hopefully will mean the time until 12 week scan goes quickly thoigh!)

Pepsiaddict · 11/05/2014 20:22

I'll be joining you in the marking Mopsytop. Managed to make it through the first set of exams (invigilating) without having to leave to vom so that was good!
I've told work as my job has to be risk assessed and modified though none of my team know yet. My absence when I had the threatened miscarriage has raised some eyebrows and caused concern as I'm not usually sick...... My boss was lovely and asked if I needed any more time off but inwardly she was probably cursing that I'll be off again.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/05/2014 20:59

Did lots of walking today and have completely done my back in with my heavy handbag, so I'm in agony :(

CatFaceCrayola · 11/05/2014 21:08

Feeling so fed up :( just sobbed at dh for a good 45 min.
I've had enough already. Sick of feeling ill, being so tired and achey and just having to grit my teeth and get on with it all (because that's just what I'm meant to do right!?).

Cannot face another week of work and having to keep quiet and just bloody wait.

can't do it anymore :(

(8+1)

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 11/05/2014 21:14

Oh Catface. Have a hug.

It's a bad day today. I've bawled on the sofa this evening for exactly the same reasons as you.

We can do it though. One day at a time. There will be good days and bad days and we will get through it. You are not alone.

It's hard this pregnancy stuff isn't it. :(

CatFaceCrayola · 11/05/2014 21:17

Thanks big hairy it's all just a bit much to cope with. Didn't realise it'd be so tough. Think my unhappiness is most due to tiredness and hormones but I'm stuck with it for now.

hope it gets easier!

mopsytop · 11/05/2014 21:22

I feel so jealous of women who love being pregnant and feel fab and glowing etc. I, alas, did not have that experience last time. Actually, being truly honest it made me want to smack those 'pregnancy is soooo fab, I just love it' types in the face. Very irrational and unfair of me. Same as the 'labour is just a state of mind, a positive attitude and yoga breathing is all you need' brigade. Yeah, no I didn't end up in theatre because of my attitude, my baby was in danger and in the wrong position, no amount of positive attitude could have changed that.

Sorry. I clearly have issues, Blush rant over!

In fact, this pregnancy is going much better than last time as I've stayed on my anti-migraine medication. I looked at a diary from last time and at this stage I was in bed 5-6 days a week with excruciating migraines. So just tiredness and nausea is like a dream in comparison!

mopsytop · 11/05/2014 21:23

Catface it does get easier! Second trimester is way better than first!

CatFaceCrayola · 11/05/2014 21:26

4 more weeks. I can do it!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 11/05/2014 21:27

Me neither. Mines come at a difficult time anyway, and I never ever react well to change, let alone one as big as this. I'm fine and then a wave of panic creeps up which blindsides me and leaves me a sobbing mess. I think hormones plus change plus uncertaincy plus nausea and crippling tiredness is going to take it's toll. I can't tell work either - I'm 4 months into a 6 month probation and they wont hesitate to try and avoid paying me maternity by getting rid of me. :( I'm scared they'll have me on competancy issues even though my works been good despite having no support or a handover when I took over, and I'm even more scared that me being knackered and nauseous will give them just cause. :(

I hear it does get easier. I hope it does.

I hope everyone gets a nice long deep sleep tonight.

ImBrian · 11/05/2014 21:42

Nice new thread so marking my place even though I'll never keep up!
My ms has eased right off this week and I'm feeling decidedly unpregnant but hopefully that's just because I'm 11+1 ish.
I had my booking in appointment, the mw didn't write down that I had an aph with my last baby so I'm a bit Hmm about that and she couldn't get any blood so just inflicted pain for 20 minutes then told me to go to clinic this week so they could try. Hopefully I'll get a scan appointment through as I want the nuchual doing but she didn't seem very sure.

KateJ28 · 11/05/2014 21:45

Glad you're having fun in Malta drewswife! Enjoy the relaxation!

Hope all the ladies feeling unwell feel better soon - I still can't quite believe this is all happening, though glad to have reached the 7 wk mark today! (There with you calling!). Feels like a mini milestone each wk!

I feel for you ladies with exams and studying, keeping a job moving is tough enough.

bighairy I'm sure you're much more aware of feeling nauseous etc at work than your colleagues are - I keep thinking everybody at work must have noticed, but in reality I don't think they have. Two months seems like ages I know, but (fingers crossed) it'll be here quickly!!!

KateJ28 · 11/05/2014 21:49

imbrian that doesn't sound like a great/v reassuring appt with the mv. I'd chase the hospital for your scan date . Where are you?!

ots · 11/05/2014 21:59

After a little reassurance ladies... DH and I had sex about an hour ago, and straight after when I wiped there was a tiny bit of pink blood, very light. Hasn't been anymore since and I feel fine.
What should I do? Is it worth callling midwife or just see how it is in the morning? I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow.

SassehMonsta · 11/05/2014 22:10

Slight bleeding after sex shouldn't be a worry, I'm pretty sure that's fine! This Article says it's fine.

I agree cat, certainly had enough. Bring on 12+ weeks, only 3 & a bit to go! Hoping I have fun things planned until then, . But in reality it's probably all work and sleep....

8+6 (hurry up tomorrow so I can be 9 weeks!)

Thankyou sasseh thats reassured me a bit. Thanks

Can't wait for the first trimester to be over now!

Martie1 · 11/05/2014 23:35

Marking my place too Smile I had three great days at the end of last week then started to feel rough again on Saturday. Ugh. Not so sick today but wrecked. Was completly wiped out on Friday and slept almost 12 hours overnight. Then today I fell asleep at 2.30 and slept till 5.30. I have to say I'm totally over the tiredness, bland diet and general rough feeling. Praying 2nd semester is better.

9+5

Martie1 · 11/05/2014 23:42

Also tmi my boobs are killing me, my nipples are so sore and itchy! Loving the fact they are larger, but would trade smaller boobs for normal nipples again!!
