What an arse pepsi

Glad the move went well peace

Must be lovely to have it out in the open crayola

We had bank holiday here on Thursday. I'd normally be at work and DH at home with DS, but with us both off he was doing some heavy work in the garden in the rain. I felt like I couldn't really complain about looking after DS while DH was doing physical labour, but man, looking after a toddler is so much mroe difficult than being at work! Give me a class of teenagers any day!

Have spent today outside too - DH has finished the play area for DS with tower and slide and it looks fab.

He's going to take DS off to see ILs tomorrow so I can get some school work done. I'm so snowed under I have to get some done.

Welcome to all newbies and good luck with upcoming scans. Ours is on Friday.

Thx Poly - have done! :-) When are you due? xx

Ladylel · 31/05/2014 22:24

Glad your move went well
Peace.
Our move went as good
As it could have done.
Had to keep stopping and starting lower back
Was aching a gooden and I hardly
Lifted anything. Think it was the bending over.
We've moved in with my
Parents so it's made things a bit easier.

Got our scan letter through for the 15th July so very excited to hopefully find out the flavours of the babies! Hoping boy girl but we've had quite a few people
Who don't know each other guessing 2 girls :/ I
Don't mind ofc but one of each would be
Lovely! Xx

ChineseFireball · 01/06/2014 06:32

Sounds like the house moving went fairly well! I take the point of those who are looking after toddlers as well. It's hard at the beginning because you feel so shocking but I think that our DP/Hs forget about that because it's not hugely visible yet. I seem to be spending a lot of time saying "DS, please don't clamber on mummy". He will keep stomping all over my nauseous tummy while I'm trying to relax on the sofa!

10+1

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/06/2014 10:16

Arhhhhhggggghhh! Bloody minecraft!!!!

That is all I have to say today.

CatFaceCrayola · 01/06/2014 10:22

I would give my right arm to not have to go back to work tomorrow :( waaaah!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/06/2014 10:29

Me too catface. Back after a weeks break. Not interested in the slightest. :(

CatFaceCrayola · 01/06/2014 11:53

Especially not interested since my week off has comprised of being housebound/in hospital/in pain/vision-less.

And a 7 and a half week term to end the year is just ridiculous!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/06/2014 12:45

I'm not at work until Thursday afternoon (after my midwife appt) but I do have to go into Central London on Tuesday for work-related bumf. Not looking forward at all :( I read this morning that the tenth week is the worst for sickness and it doesn't get worse than this. Anyone further along than me who can attest to this?

Martie1 · 01/06/2014 13:26

Hi all, just checking in again. Been off the radar for a couple if weeks as when I'm not tired (all the time) I'm trying to get work done. I'm so far behind, self employment can be a real bitch.

We had our lovely first scan on Friday. And saw a very happy little bub crossing it's legs and jumping. Got a great wee pic of it holding it's fists out. I just love it.

Have to go back for a second scan on Tuesday with consultant as there appears to have been a second sac that did not develop. So it might have been a twin pregnant. I'm a twin myself and it runs in my family so I wasn't overly shocked since I thought it was a real possibility.

On the sickness news, I thought I was doing amazing. Still some food aversions but nausea gone for the last 3 weeks ish. Not so, I have just thrown up my entire breakfast. It was a real moment, I was in church, started to feel hit and faint so I left, then got in my car to drive home, realised u was going to puke and had to pull my car over to open the door and throw up. I hit my shoes, legging and lovely white top. I started taking pregnacare again last night so I feel like blaming it. The midwife on Friday recommended I start taking it again. I stopped it round easter since I thought bit was adding to my nausea. Anyone else ever have a return of morning (all bloomin' day!!) sickness?

Martie1 · 01/06/2014 13:27

I'm now going to read up on what you've all been up to since I last checked in!! I see a lot of house moves!

12+6 wks!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/06/2014 13:43

Peace and Martie I am 12 + 6 l. Sickness faded around 11 weeks for a few.days then returned as low level persistent nausea which got a lot worse if I ate a big meal. Been good days and bad days. Weeks 8,9 and 10 were crap. Been feeling great for a few days then yakked up me breakfast this morning. For the past few days every time I eat I am asleep twenty minutes later. Sad

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/06/2014 14:50

Aww DH is being very D today. I can't stop throwing up so he's let me go to bed while he goes and gets more stuff from the old flat. If I didn't feel so awful I'd be feeling very guilty.

Pepsiaddict · 01/06/2014 15:22

Yay! After yesterday DH let me have a lie in and has taken our daughter to the PIL for lunch while I try to sort the house out. Feeling totally washed out and counting down until week 13 when I felt better last time :-)

I noticed that there are some others from Bristol / Somerset. Where are you planning to give birth? I almost ended up in ST Michaels at the same time as one of the others from my last antenatal thread, we missed each other by less than 12 hours!

Hope that all the house moves went well and that you're settling in and that the nausea that a lot of us are still suffering from abates soon.

10+1 a quarter of the way through :-)

Martie1 · 01/06/2014 16:16

bighairyspider I've just woken up after sleeping most of the afternoon, I actually just want to keep on sleeping and I'm also trying to figure out what I could eat. Really want a chicken and mushroom pot noodle - I am a terrible person but it's one of my cravings.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/06/2014 16:21

Martie I lived on Supernoodles for a good week! Never eat that stuff normally!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/06/2014 17:21

Martie I am having chips! After a week of eating normally I'm back to beige non-offensive carbs Confused

LisaC2611 · 01/06/2014 17:40

Hi all

Peace I def felt better around week 11 from nausea. Had a pounding headache all day today but think that was because I didn't drink very much this morning. We have our scan on Wednesday am really excited.

Glad to hear all the house moves have gone well. We did it 6 months ago and are having our bathroom refitted starting tomorrow. Glad it's being done before baby arrives but bit looking forward to all the mess. Not even sure if we are going to be able to sleep in our bedroom Shock

12 weeks tomorrow. Roll on 2nd trimester

Martie1 · 01/06/2014 18:27

bighairyspider It was in my mad craving a few weeks back for supernoodles that I realised it was a pot noodles I wanted. My sil says she was the exact same and ate supernoodles all the time. Would really love to know what exactly it is about them that baby loves! I have remembered that I have pizza in the freezer and I am totally having that for dinner. Pot noodle tomorrow Grin Peace I was totally delighted to be out of the beige carb stage, i was so bored with it.....but it appears to be my safe place. I have no idea how many portions of chips I have eaten in the last 12 weeks. A crazy amount. I haven't put on any weight at all despite feeling like a balloon and a very obvious belly bulge now. At least that's a plus given the amount of junk im eating. And baby looked totally fine on the scan and measured the right size for the number of weeks I am. So all good.

I have just polished off 3 crackers and an absolute tonne of salt and vinegar crisps. lol.

I am totally jealous of all the house moves. We are building a house and it's unlikely to be ready prior to October. I am petrified that we are not going to get in before and will be moving with a tiny bundle. Bubs is due around 7-10 december. Hoping to get a more 'firm' date when I have my second scan on Tuesday, as baby would not move for the midwife to get a proper measurement on Friday. Already has traits like its daddy!! lol!

Martie1 · 01/06/2014 18:30

lisa the scan is amazing, i just giggled the whole way through, which was bit stupid as the mid-wife then couldn't keep the scanny device thing on me as I kept moving! So best advice I can give is not to giggle, but I was so nervous I couldn't help it. I either cry or giggle!

Somersetgirl1990 · 01/06/2014 18:31

Hi everyone Smile
Glad to see everyone's house moves have gone as well as can be Smile I'm moving next weekend back home and was really looking forward to it until this weekend.
Went home to take some bits down before next weekend and spent a few days at my mums house, ended up in is having a massive row yesterday. I genuinely think that she thinks she's the one having a baby. I get that she's really excited and apparently I've been "dismissing everything that she suggests" ie names, nursery decor, pushchairs etc etc and she thinks that I'm trying to push her out. Why she thinks that she needs to be heavily involved I don't know but starting to think we've made a horrible mistake in moving back home. She also got upset that I said that I probably wouldn't want to see her every single day, three times a day as she was suggesting.
She's benign completely irrational and it's almost as if she genuinely doesn't understand that this isn't her child and that it's mine Confused
She's never normally like this so hoping she was just in a bad mood but if this is what the next 7 months and beyond are going to be like then I'm in trouble!

So I'm feeling very crappy and upset, she said some really horrible things to me, like "well fine if you don't want me involved then we won't be at all" which isn't what I've said and I have no idea why she's being so extreme and can't see that this isn't normal Hmm

Anyway hope everyone's had a nice day, it's been really sunny today so me and dp have been sorting the garden out Smile feeling much better in myself, apart from being tired lazy but that's nothing unusual Wink

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/06/2014 18:59

Argh! I've just had dinner and I am now craving supernoodles.... and Salt and Vinegar Crisps! Although dinner was amazing. I can eat salad again now so dinner was a huge bean salad, breaded goats cheese (Aldi- amazing) and Cheesecake to finish so yep, out of the beige food stageGrin!
Hope it stays put.

CatFaceCrayola · 01/06/2014 20:00

Feeling lousy :( had a stonking headache, thought i was gonna puke. Stood up and seemingly blacked out or something and came crashing down! Landed on hip so hopefully not effected baby. Feeling a little better after some paracetamol just feeling dizzy and nauseous again
