Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My irrational thing is my bump today. Ok it's really quite big when standing up and I look pregnant - other people have said so too now. But when I lie down it pretty much goes so makes me think it's just fat after all :(

Glad you phoned the mw squiz sometimes when something is bothering you it's just much better to talk to someone and put your mind at ease.

After my low risk but much higher risk than with ds i very stupidly googled it and there was people out there with 1:1.5 million. Really?! Seems a bit pointless after a certain point right? But it did make my risk sound much higher. Oh well, I'm not doing any most testing so just need to stick it out to 21 weeks and next scan and not worry in the mean time. I so hope I can do that but know its impossible!!

squizita · 14/04/2014 09:57

Fedup I looked pregnant-er after food, so sometimes get up in the morning and think "where's my bean gone?". I've had a prod and the uterus is higher than ever, I think bump can be a combo of uterus and other stuff for quite a few weeks.

Yeah. Mine is much bigger at end of the day. I've put my maternity jeans on this morning though as can't do other ones up and they are so comfy!! I've braved it. Everything is out the loft and into the wash. I was amazed at the size of some of my bras though - absolutely HUGE! I don't remembers being that massive when bf!

nearlyreadytopop · 14/04/2014 12:08

fedup I got all my mat clothes out of the loft last week after putting it off and putting it off. It felt like such a big step.
I've my 20 week scan on Wednesday and am so stressed about it. Still no definite movements though I was at physio this morning and lying on my front could definitely feel something there.
Physio has recommended a very attractive support belt to help my poor pelvis.

Argh! Just called the FMC to find out about my Harmony test results.
The receptionist couldn't see anything on the system, but then told me that the doctor who is managing my case will call me as soon as possible to talk to me. Which implies to me that the do have the results, but they are not good, so that the receptionist can't just tell me what they are.
Of course they could also (hopefully!) have a policy that the receptionist never discusses any results with patients.

Am I over-analysing this?! Probably... Very tense and anxious now.

JBrd · 14/04/2014 15:12

The FMC just called back - they still don't have the results, and they will ask the lab (which is in the States) later today what's going on Angry
So I'll probably get a call when I'm in the car, driving home from work, and can't pick up. Which then means wait until tomorrow Angry

squizita · 14/04/2014 15:21

Nearly no definite movements for you either? So frustrating! I know they say not to expect before week 22 but...
I'm hoping the feathery feelings i had were wind and these pops are the start of movement. Otherwise I just get so worried and no-one medically trained thinks there's a problem!

Jbird Angry Grr. It's getting ridiculous now. Hope the results are good!

fedupofrainydays · 14/04/2014 17:44

Oh jbrd I can imagine the pain waiting for these results and the anxiety. I would have thought exactly what you did although both know its ridiculous! Hang in there and I hope they hurry up.

JBrd · 14/04/2014 18:33

My results will be delayed until Wednesday or even Thursday! AngryAngryAngry

fedupofrainydays · 14/04/2014 19:32

FFS jbrd have they said why? They owe you some or all your money back surely?! I can imagine the anxiety, hope you are ok.

JBrd · 14/04/2014 22:13

Thanks all, I'm OK, just very tired of waiting. I feel as if I'm standing still, holding my breath, while everyone and everything just gets on with things.

I had another call, and the problem is apparently with the lab in the States that is doing the analyses, there is some sort of delay. I'm not the only one affected, either. Argh! Been told that the results will probably be there by Wednesday/Thursday... More waiting.

TaytoCrisp · 14/04/2014 22:52

What a nightmare jbrd. Thinking of u over the next 2 days.

nearlyreadytopop · 15/04/2014 19:23

jbrd how awful, hopefully the results come through soon.

I have turned into a crying mess about this scan tomorrow. 20 weeks and no definite movements. A few flutters and pops and my tummy has expanded greatly (in comparison to ds's bump). dh refuses to acknowledge that it could all go wrongSad

nearly I don't really remember much, if any movement before my 20 week scan with ds. And I remember at the time wondering if that was normal as I had a pretty big bump by then. I know that won't ease your worry but I suppose i am saying its normal.

Hope it goes well tomorrow.

TaytoCrisp · 15/04/2014 20:01

Best of luck tomorrow nearly. A few flutters and pops sounds pretty much like what you might expect at 20 wks; though I think I was late to recognise the signs when i Had DD (prob nearer 24 weeks). Will look out for your update tomorrow, and hope it will be a good positive experience for you and DH. You can't beat som tangible reassurance at this stage. Hang in there for another few hrs.

nearly Please don't worry! There is no set time by which you have to feel movements! Flutters and pops are great! There will come a time when baby will be doing Mexican waves, believe me!
Good luck for your scan.

nearlyreadytopop · 16/04/2014 10:56

thank you all, you have made me cry by being so lovely (bloody hormones). Waiting on our appointment now. fingers crossed x

nearlyreadytopop · 16/04/2014 12:52

I'm back and the baby is perfectGrin . The placenta is high up but the front which explains the lack of movement. So relieved Smile .
