Well it's not two working days since my scan yet. I'm thinking if they haven't called me by end of tomorrow then that's 3 days and hopefully low risk.
As long as I don't think about it, I'm okay. I have had the same nightmare 3 times though that it can't live outside of my womb. Horrible horrible dream.

I think you are right to bury head until you know the score otherwise mind goes into overdrive with what ifs. I can imagine the turmoil as I've not even had any results yet and driving myself mental with worry.

Crampy / pully factors are a good sign bugs and agree the run up to scans is the toughest. I hardly slept before mine.

fedupofrainydays · 09/04/2014 10:35

Ugh. Nausea today is bad. And oddly been craving egg mayo sandwich since 8 am.

How is everyone?

I thought I had brown cm today so was a major panic. But since decided it was from my no 2 (sorry way tmi) Blush
Counting today as day 3 for high risk screening. If I get past today without a phone call I hope I'm low risk.
jbrd how is your 2 ww going? Not sure how you are coping with it as I'm a mess just waiting for a call that may not happen. Been thinking of you lots.

squizita · 09/04/2014 11:32

Feeling highly anxious. Red blood in cervical mucous. Could still b from last weeks op, but wasn't expecting this a wk later. In work now with talk at 1. Have planned appointment with consultant later. Awful related nightmare last night. Hope I'm just panicking, but very very anxious and afraid to go to loo...

fedupofrainydays · 09/04/2014 13:07

tayto how worrying for you. It could well be from op - just taking time to come out. Or just some cervical irritation - and not anything that harms the baby. Hope this appointment helps / gives peace of mind

Tumtimes1 · 09/04/2014 13:38

Hi Tayto I am sure it is from last week and a small amount is normal. Will your consultant scan you ?

Fedup good luck with your scan.

Update with me is my urine test came back normal (UGH I SWEAR I HAVE GOT A UTI) and my swab came back that I have THRUSH. So weird as I have not got the usual symptoms but I have got watery discharge. I will try out the pesseries and see how I go. Anyone else experienced this? x

TaytoCrisp · 09/04/2014 17:05

Thanks ladies. My consultant was fantastic and gave me scan (and internal exam). I could see the heartbeat, lots of movement and that the cervix is fully closed (well consultant could see that, not me). They did note the protein in urine (I guess from blood) and are sending it off for testing, but consultant isn't concerned. So I am very reassured. I just find these particular weeks difficult... Bring on wk 25, then 34, then whatever!

Tumtimes1 · 09/04/2014 17:08

Excellent news tayto

Update for me is I just called the midwife and she has sent me to A&E to have a scan. They want to check that I am not losing fluid. Will just
Keep you posted. Just waiting now. X

TaytoCrisp · 09/04/2014 18:12

Very good to get it checked tum. Fx it's all good and reassuring. Will b thinking of u.

fedupofrainydays · 09/04/2014 19:41

Phew tayto that's really good news!!

Hope scan ok tum and good to get it checked out. Hope the wait isn't too long

squizita · 09/04/2014 19:48

Phew Tayto :)

Tum glad to hear they are taking care of you.

I have a bright red nose. Hoping I do not have a cold, they are ALWAYS head colds for me with oodles of snot so without decongestants it will NOT be fun! DH has hayfever, could be that...

JBrd · 09/04/2014 21:33

Oh, tayto, so glad that they are looking after you and that you got some reassurance that everything is looking fine with the bean. Maybe you have an UTI? Hopefully, it will all settle down again soon.

Tum Hope the scan will reassure you! Glad they are taking care of you.
I've heard that thrush is very common in pregnancy, apparently! And it can also have many different symptoms. Hope the pessaries do the trick (they worked really well for me when I had it years ago).

fedup Fortunately, I am so swamped at work at the moment that I hardly have time to think about my test results. Which is either good or bad, depending on how you look at it. I will certainly have to do a lot of thinking if the results are bad, as I'm not really doing any at the moment! But I just can't face it. I need to know the facts before I can take the next step, otherwise I'll drive myself crazy. And I honestly don't know how I feel about the possibility of a termination anymore.

squiz Lots of fluids, vitamins and take the paracetamol, when it gets too bad! No point being a martyr. Colds are evil, when you can't take anything.

My stuffy nose is driving me crazy! You would not believe the amount of dry snot that I produce per day. I really struggle with getting enough air sometimes, it's so bad. Have to blow my nose regularly to ensure I clear my airways, and you would not believe what comes out (sorry, tmi). Definitely one of those non-glorious pregnancy symptoms no one ever tells you about Angry

fedupofrainydays · 09/04/2014 22:08

Mine is nose bleeds jbrd never had one in my life but when preg I get them a fair few times! Really embarrassing at work!

Glad work has kept you busy. Same here really - has helped distract throughout pregnancy. Got everything crossed for your results. I think after what we have been through with mcs and the further the pregnancy develops makes any discussions about what to do with results that much harder to think about.

tum how was it at A&E, hope all ok?

I'm now 3 working days since my scan and blood test. So hoping the no phone call means I'm low risk. Trying to relax just a little as being so on edge is not doing me or baby any favours! I even told my SIL today (DH rubbish at telling his family) so getting gradually braver about telling people!

squizita · 10/04/2014 10:26

I get the bloody snot too. I have to check constantly too: I can look like a snot-nosed child without realising!

OP posts:
Tumtimes1 · 10/04/2014 10:28

Hey all! Tayto so glad your scan and check went well. Phew.

I have just come back from having a scan and all was fine. Baby was swimming about in it and seemed happy, also has grown to normal amounts. I had an internal check yesterday and the cough test and she checked my cervix, all closed.

I also had bloods to check for infection and all normal. so i think the liquid is either urine or thrush. Hopefully after day three of the pesseries it should be gone. Phew. DRAMA.

JBrd · 10/04/2014 15:08

Tum That is great news, what a relief!
Which of course, leaves the -rather unpleasant, but ultimately preferable- options of you being incontinent and/or having thrush... But anything better than the bean being in distress!

fedup Any phone call yet?! Fingers crossed that with every day, you are more in the 'green' zone...

I am trying to stop thinking about whether my Harmony results might come in early... Last time they called me on the Friday before the Tuesday when the results were due, wondering/hoping that this happens again tomorrow! I am so tired of waiting, I want to know what's going on!

squizita · 10/04/2014 15:44

Tum phew. Glad all OK!

Jbird fx (good) news comes swiftly for you!

Good luck for tomorrow Buggerlugs you will be fine I am sure. xxxxx

fedupofrainydays · 10/04/2014 19:38

Great news tum big phew! I always have wet knickers at the mo but that can also give thrush so wouldn't be suprised if that's what happened with you! But thank goodness baby is ok.

I had a heart stopping moment today when the phone rang with no caller id. Usually the hospital. It was my bank trying to sell me something! Such a relief. No letter yet though so then started to think have they lost my blood? I'm a nut job, I really am!

That would be so good if they did come early jbrd as you could do without the weekend to have more time to mull over it. Also I have heard lots of people with low Papp a and turned out to be fine. Only when I've asked the question that you hear this stuff!

fedupofrainydays · 10/04/2014 21:53

Just a quick one to say hope all goes well tomorrow for your scan bugs will be thinking of you

fedupofrainydays · 10/04/2014 21:53

Ugh. Another sodding nose bleed on my white sheets!

JBrd · 10/04/2014 23:26

Good luck for your scan tomorrow, bugs! What time are you on?

TaytoCrisp · 10/04/2014 23:44

Good luck tomorrow bugs. Reassuring that you are still a little tired, hopefully it will lift soon - after you see your little one!

Tum great to rule out any major problems, and to have a good scan experience! Thrush is not the best, but fairly innocuous in the grand scheme of things I had it for a day or two (which i though was oddly short lived). I was advised probiotic yoghurts and Canestan... It went before i used the canestan, though i used it once before and it did the job in 24-36 hrs.

Jbrd it really has been a long wait, and you are quiet amazing for keeping yourself distracted, though it must be tough with this worry in the back of your mind all the time... Fx that you hear soon, and the harmony test results are more helpful and reassuring.

rainy looks like you might be in the clear re: results! Shame about the nosebleeds.. a right pain for you. Glad i don't get them - with heparin and from yesterday 150mg aspirin it could be a bloodbath!

Hi to everyone else, hope the noses improve over the wkd! Apart from that i hope it continues to be more or less uneventful. We have our little cousins visiting so looking forward to that.
