The dental card covers everything they think has to be done, but not anything viewed as optional. For example, it covers the cost of each six-month check-up, but not a cleaning (which I also get done every six months). But emergency stuff should definitely be covered.
Re. stretch marks, I used various body butters and later bio oil during my first pregnancy, but still got loads of stretch marks. Most of these appeared in the 11 days that DS went overdue! I had some bio oil left, so am already using that now, but have no high hopes of it doing much, as my skin will get stretched even more this time with two babies.
I've had a bump since about eight weeks, and have been feeling movement since 13, which I know doesn't help anyone else (are there any other twins in this group? I haven't seen anyone announce that). It's already at the point now where I can tell the twins apart by their movements. I can't remember precisely with DS, but I was in maternity clothes by the start of the second trimester, and think I was feeling movements around 17 weeks.
I have my 17 week scan tomorrow (on the NHS - I'll be scanned at least every two weeks from here on out), and am really hoping to find out the gender. Fingers crossed!
Happy Mother's Day everyone!
