Blossom ive told him that. If hes ok I will wait until Tuesday when everyone is back and if not a+e and will demand tests. Mum thinks we should go see original gastric 2hours away but wr can't guarantee he will be there.

Ive said its not normal for him to be constipated so bloody much! Hes been constipated ever since having meningitis. I do not know if theres a link I think there could be as meningitis can effect everyone differently.

Hes been up playing at mums (we are all here) and hes just laid down with a blanket now. Keeping a close eye on him.

I just wish someone somewhere would look past his personality. Hes dealt with pain since he was born so its normal for him to an extent.

Poor you Cookie It sounds like you're doing everything you can and it is great that your DH will have some counselling.

I had a big stretch while on my back last night (I was half asleep) and my back really low down cracked and woke me up! Think things are getting loose down there! Feel that weird down feeling today again...... it's either hormones, or the thought of going back to work on Tuesday that's the problem, or both!

20 weeks today, it feels like it's flying!! Got my scan on Wednesday and I'm terrified but guess that's normal. Also think I may have felt baby kick last night for the first time. Not sure, but it was two little thumps close together just to the right of my belly button so hoping it was!! Willing to feel it again so I can be sure

Was searching for pram/push chair again (Typical me, i am again having difficulties to decide which one) just saw a graco lite on amazon for 110 quid down from 300 ; complete travel system with car sear, not a pushchair only!! That could be an absolute bargain ! Looked up mumsnet travel system review but this specific one is not listed; most other graco ones are highly rated though... Any experience ladies?

Bex that is exactly what I felt when I felt my first movement. Looking back I'd probably had some flutterings before then but it was the two thumps in a row that convinced me.

Cookie sorry you're going through such a tough time. Definitely not what you need right now. Hope you can manage to work through it. Sounds positive that he is going for counselling.

Nazly my only advice would be to go and try it out in the shops first. We had a short list of 4 that we liked & were going to bid for on eBay with the uppa baby vista at the top. Tried it out in Kiddicare & found the handle too high & too tricky to change between car seat and carry cot etc. We also ruled out the Oyster as didn't like the brake & silver cross Wayfarer because of price. Have gone for the Britax Affinity & got a great deal on eBay. Picking it up tomorrow, can't wait! Found the best buggy website really helpful as it gives pros & cons along with measurements up and folded. They have 100s of models.

ilove Is your son on any other medication? Having previously worked with children on a variety of medications, and some tube fed, constipation was quite often a problem with some medications. Or as someone else said, the type of feed may well be a culprit.

Worse part is, he hasn't kissed me in three days!

Is anyone else getting annoyed about stupid assumptions? Everyone who knows about this baby says either "was this one a but of a late surprise?" (Older dc are 15 and 11) or "I hope you get a boy this time" assuming that's why we wanted another. It's really annoying me that people assume these things and say them in front of my kids like they aren't good enough cos they are girls I had to sit my girls down and explain to them that we were "hoping" (couldn't say "trying" to them) for another dc for ages and my whole detailed reasoning for not being able to decide what I would prefer and that some people are stupid.
I'm good at doing the smile and ignore thing usually but not when it could effect how my dd's feel about themselves and their sibling.
Or am I just being hypersensitive and hormonal

Hes been constipated before he had his tube in. Hisconstipation started after meningitis. Hes on neocate advance and we know it doesn't cause constipation but tjeres less waste. The omperzole can cause it but hes on docusate, picosulphate and lactulose.
He was sick at 1.30am this morning. Hes had some tea. Put a bit of extra sugar in it as hes not been having his feed.

Fairy everyone said ohh I hope you have a girl as you have 2 boys. Im having another boy ans couldn't be happier. Ive only told immediate family and friends everyone else can wait!

ilove Perhaps it's an effect of the combination of the meds? I hope you get to speak to the right person soon - bank holiday weekend makes everything grind to a halt unfortunately! I hope he feels better soon!

the constipation started before the meds and tube. Thankfully hes just passed some hard stool! Was very happy. Hes had 4 different meds for the constipation today and lots of water over the past few days. Very happy thats its getting better

Still a little confused as he keeps spiking a temp, it was 38 before. Not the highest but still a temp.

Evening all. I'm sat on the sofa in my husbands pyjama trousers! I only have two pairs of pyjama trousers that are comfortable these days and both are dirty, something else I may need to invest in. I'm telling myself it's just because we've been to the in-laws today and MIL is a feeder. Speaking of which I need help.......

It's lovely that she's kept all her baby stuff (I married the younger son) but I really don't want 40 year old high chairs, blankets etc. I thought she may have got the message when we declined the pram!

Hi All. Sorry to disappear. I went away on holiday, then could never remember to reset my password when near to a computer. So I have been keeping up, just not posting. Welcome to the new peeps!

I had my 20 week scan this past week and the radiographer said that it all looked good, but I didn't get any sort of report. Does it come in the post or something? I have a consultant appt tomorrow to discuss the scan, but maybe he got it directly?

Have a look in your notes thats where we found our 17 week one! Not that it means anything to me anyway.

I've read those notes cover to cover several times since the scan and it's not in there.
