inbl00m Sometimes I think i've felt some fluttering while i've been sitting at work or watching TV, but don't know if it's just a gurgly stomach and i'm just wanting to feel something!

white I don't think you should feel ungrateful, just say thank you for their offer but you are excited to buy new things?

kicks hopefully nothing to worry about with the growth differences! It's good you are being monitored so frequently though.

I'm off work today as had horrible back pain last night (ended up trying to be on my front, but not on my belly, so on my knees and crying my eyes out, though hormones rather than pain were the cause of that!) and every night is the same issue when I try and roll over or get up off the sofa. I think I over did it yesterday with cleaning and carrying the shopping but it is becoming a big pain, and this is even without a massive bump! I ordered a maternity pillow off amazon so going to see how that goes. Anyone else having trouble with their backs?

OneInAMinion · 31/03/2014 19:46

Great news kicks! Smile

I don't have my 16-week scan until next week so a little while off any updates yet. No flutterings here yet either...although I did manage to find the baby's heartbeat by accident (I think). I flopped onto the bed bump first and could feel what I thought was my pulse initially in my squished belly...then I realised that it was way too fast to be mine Grin

Lilone - fortunately I haven't had any backache yet, but as I sleep on my back I bought a dream genii pillow to try and adjust to sleeping on my side. It seems fit for purpose, but I have to say that I'm struggling to adapt to sleeping any other way.

Oh & I'm all for 2nd hand stuff if it's in good condition & not more personal things like bottles Confused

Nazly · 31/03/2014 20:13

Isitme, topmum, lil hope you all get better soon x

Kicks congratttts x another team blue multiply by two, :)
About growth, I thought normally with Tweens one is bigger than the other?? Hope all goes well with both of them x

White, used bottle? That's weird, but then they prob have different sensitivity levels to us... Maybe she would have been happy receiving one

Been to dentist today, she checked my tooth and said there is not much left of it (as I guessed) and I will need a crown; putting a crown without xray, she said, is risky cause they wont be able to check the status, roots, etc. But she also didn't recommend me to do nothing, as I could loose my tooth by September! I am supposed to call mw/gp asking about xray for teeth,,, any of you ladies had any experience with this?

Btw, she showed me three different crowns, the one free on NhS didn't look or feel nice - it was completely out of metal with a shiny appearance! The other two option, I have to pay for, one 400, the other 600... I wasn't counting on this expenditure at this time :( annoying... Local anaesthetics are allowed by the way luckily

Oooh so SORRY ladies, just had an internet issue with mumsnet where I just hit post a few times and every time it said disconnected from mumsnet... The result is as you see a few repeated posts... So weird the author of a post can not edit or remove it after being posted themselves... Sorry

I had my 16 week mw appointment today. Hearing the heartbeat was lovely. Little wriggler maintained wriggling status from scan & every time she found the heartbeat it moved. Think I felt a kick though while she was trying to find the heartbeat. MW thinks Im in for a tough time when the movement gets more noticeable based on the wriggliness so far!

isitme1 · 31/03/2014 20:57

Oh no naz. Could you get the nhs one for now until you have the extra money?

topmammy · 31/03/2014 21:07

bugoven · 31/03/2014 21:21

Watching OBEM but a little delayed as paused to watch the DVD of our wonderful, healthy, happy little.....BOY! It was amazing, everything was so clear I identified him as a he straight away.

bugoven EDD 7th September TEAM BLUE

isitme1 · 31/03/2014 21:22

Congrats bug!
Just put it on now from the start as ds is now asleep

Topsyloulou · 31/03/2014 21:27

Congrats bug & kicks on the team blue news. Lots of boys on the way in September but only 1 girl so far. Must mean lots of team pink announcements will be on the way over the next few weeks.

topmammy · 31/03/2014 21:29

Congrats Bug that's lovely news. Grin

I'm fighting back the tears watching OBEM but also thinking Shock good God I've got to do that soon! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.

And as if on cue my knitting needles up the fanjo pain has returned! Oh the joys!

Teabiscuits · 31/03/2014 21:39

congrats kicks that's amazing news!

I am with you all on bad hand-me-downs. I've been given bags of clothes before that aren't even washed, with crusted on food and everything Confused. I hate being ungrateful but really?! I never pass on anything I wouldn't be happy to receive.

16 week appointment tomorrow although will be 17+3. Excited to hear that little heartbeat Smile

isitme1 · 31/03/2014 21:46

Topmammy I know its hard!
If only it was that easy!
Poor little conan x

topmammy · 31/03/2014 22:04

Phew got to the end of OBEM. It wasn't too bad really. I want to be like the 18 year old having the water birth, she was so calm! Well, apart from when she screamed ' ArGH Fuck me!' Lol. And that other young girl was amazing too really, just more vocal! Ahhhhh a stork is delivering my baby Grin

topmammy · 31/03/2014 22:05

Oh yes and bless that little baby boy Conan, gosh really pulled at the heart strings that!

lilone1234 · 31/03/2014 22:15

Nazly, is it a back tooth that isn't really visible when you smile? If so i'd go for the NHS one. I don't know how they get off charging so much, it really does make you glad that there's the NHS for everything else! Apparently, i've heard that Americans think that it's a British thing to have bad teeth, and this must be why!

Congrats bug! Certainly is boys taking the lead so far!

Well done those that got through OBEM. I've found I need to save it for the weekends now - i'm too fragile at 9pm on a Monday lol. Instead I watched The Widower...

isitme1 · 31/03/2014 22:16

It must absolutely horrible to be told that theres something wrong with your baby and then worry throughout pregnancy.

All I want is a healthy baby and a healthy me after delivery. I want the same for you ladies too! Flowers

Teabiscuits · 31/03/2014 22:49

I can't cope with OBEM! I've given birth 3 times now, I don't need any reminders of what it's like thank you! I hope it's still on when DD1 is old enough to watch it though, she is fascinated by pregnancy and babies and wants to be a midwife. She loved seeing lambs being born on a farm visit.

Those of you with other children, have you told them? What do they think of having a little brother or sister?

dontevenblink · 01/04/2014 00:29

I quite like watching OBEM, I seem to go through phases during my pregnancies when I want to watch lots of stuff about giving birth for some strange reason...! I can't watch the new series of OBEM though as not in the UK, will have to wait till we get it here (probably not till next year though...).
I did come across The Midwives series on youtube though so have watched that and found it really interesting, but quite upsetting, had to stop watching some of the episodes in the end. Did anyone else watch this? Not sure when it was on. I think on OBEM they don't really show things going really wrong (or not that I've seen) whereas on The Midwives they did discuss some pretty tough stuff. Probably why I could cope with OBEM but not some episodes of The Midwives! I've had 3 pretty different births myself, some which I didn't feel like had too much info about what happened, so maybe that's why I'm interested?

Teabiscuits I told my 3 pretty early on as DH wanted to so as to stop them jumping on me quite so much! My youngest has only just turned 2 so too little to understand, but my 3 and 5 year olds (very, very soon to be 4 and 6!) seem very excited. DD (5) counts us all when we get in the car and she counts the baby too which is very cute, she wants loads of siblings, although she is desperate for a girl... DS is fascinated by my bump and checks its growth daily Grin
