23rd, but not testing until at least 24th when AF is 'late'.

I'm already feeling the need to POAS at random times of the day when I KNOW that even it I were to get a second line, my wee would be too diluted to really show much...that and the fact that I've still got about a week to go! but I'm determined this month not to be disappointed. I WILL get something worth celebrating - either a BFP or spectacularly pissed on my birthday (just as AF buggers off...hey, that might lead to some drunken DTD and a BFP next month...hmm...it's all starting to sound like a plan to me Wink).

Will keep lurking with you ladies so that I'm all up to date when I come over officially Grin.

Hope everyone's having a better day today.

Oh, and happy birthday Treacle. Hope you have a lovely night out tonight Grin.

Zermatt · 16/05/2014 09:27

Love the scan photos :) and happy birthday Treacle.

I've been googling baby sushi fancy dress outfits (our child will be half japanese - nothing like a bit of racial stereotyping) just because it's Friday. How cute are these?

Haha yeah either way you will be able to celebrate :)

Definitely let us know :) Thank you! It's my birthday monday but we're celebrating as a big group tonight. Really hope I don't see anyone from work there but still.

lindamagoo · 16/05/2014 09:34

Aw Zermatt they are so cute Smile

Treacle enjoy your night out Smile

It's my birthday on Sunday and I'll be spending the day at the Jack and Jill children's market buying stuff for the boys birthdays. They will be away staying with granny so hopefully oh will treat me to a nice birthday lunch afterwards Smile

MrsGingerbread · 16/05/2014 09:36

Morning ladies!

Is there a certain type of bhs bra that is good?

I am an E cup at the moment. Thought of them getting bigger and losing underwiring is scary... is that a comfort thing or is there a medical reason?

MademoiselleG · 16/05/2014 09:41

Spotti you crack me up! Please join us quick Wink

fancy, that's not even half mean. Dh is on a proper sex withdrawal scheme at the mo -we've done it once since the bfp...!- and I'm not even that nice to him!
Are you exited? Nervous? Eeek!

I'm just at the gp's to register with mw etc, hope I can choose UCH again as they were just incredible last time. We moved so not sure I still qualify. Let's see!

Enjoy the almost weekend

Knottyknitter · 16/05/2014 09:46

Its a comfort thing.

As long as your wired bras are well fitting, so the wire isn't slicing into boob tissue, they're fine.

I suspect I'll be staying wired. Wore my non wired crop top style sports bra yesterday and was canvassing about taking it off on the train on the way home!

Knottyknitter · 16/05/2014 09:46

Fantasising

MelMc73 · 16/05/2014 09:49

MrsGinger when I was pg with my DS they didn't recommend underwire as they thought it could damage milk ducts however they now say that provided your bra is fitted properly then underwire is fine as long as it goes past your boobs and under your arms. I went to mothercare and got fitted the last time for maternity bras but their range was rubbish - very bland. You could get measured and then buy some nicer ones online. Not sure about BHS though. I was going to go and buy some "secret support" vest tops to wear in bed.

Mine seem mahoosive today lol!

So glad it is Friday - I'm finishing at 2ish and going shopping for some fat clothes holiday clothes. Just heading for the cheapo shops to get some mahoosive shorts....Asda, primark, New Look etc.

Munday great scan pic - very long legs!!

spotti good luck for your bfp this month!!

Treacle and Poly hope you are feeling better today.....no killing of nhs staff now poly Grin!

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 10:23

I'd just like to say and hope I don't speak too soon I'm feeling happy today :)

Thank goodness. Im still having my moments and obviously worried but I'm glad I've taken this time to sort my head out. I no longer feel like I'll sporadically burst into tears!

Sorry for the self indulgent post and thank you all for helping me through this x

PolytheneGirl · 16/05/2014 13:55

Afternoon all. I've been in bed with a headache all morning but I'm feeling much brighter now. I have vowed to not even think about "friends" or NHS numpties at all today. I'm not bothering calling the mw as the spotting stopped as quickly as it started and was brown. I suspect she'd only have told me to let her know if it got any worse anyway.

I'm looking totally massive today. I made the mistake of wearing maternity trousers and for some reason my stomach has made a concerted effort to fill them. Back to skinny jeans tomorrow I think.

Madem your dream made me laugh. DH hasn't even attempted to dtd since our BFP. I would be offended but I'm too knackered anyway!

Spotti hurry up with that BFP! We need you over here!

Treacle enjoy your birthday night. If anyone says anything, you're feeling better and will be back in on Monday. Just because you are well enough to socialise doesn't mean you're well enough to work.

Zermatt I love the little Maki with the wasabi hat! So cute!

Fancy good luck with the scan. Please let us know how you've got on. V exciting! Grin

MademoiselleG · 16/05/2014 14:07

Fancy, how did it go?

Glad to hear people are feeling good today Grin

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 14:11

Thanks Poly, yeah that's what I'll say :)

Glad you're feeling a bit better now too.

My DH hasn't tried to dtd either. I think when the nurse told us not to cus of spotting he took that to mean ever haha.

PolytheneGirl · 16/05/2014 14:43

Oh forgot to say.... Did anyone see ITV This Morning today? There was an interesting but very upsetting piece about birthing centres. I think if you can get past the terrible situation of the couple talking, it raises some interesting thoughts for anyone considering using a birthing centre or indeed having a home birth.

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 14:57

I did Poly, scares the life out of me. I felt so sorry for the couple.

PolytheneGirl · 16/05/2014 15:02

It was awful wasn't it. Made me glad I'll be at the hospital.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 16/05/2014 15:03

Happy Birthday Treacle! Enjoy your evening.
Glad your spotting has stopped poly.
I had some pink cm this morning, scared shitless. But am en route back home, just touched British soil so only a couple more hours until we arrive at the new house and unpacking begins. Roll on Tuesday, just want to see my gp now.

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 15:06

Yeah Poly, i have no idea where I'll be. Id prefer to be at hospital.

Thanks English :) It's Monday but were going out for it tonight.
I hope you're ok and if the spotting has stope that's a good sign :)

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 15:07

*stopped

MademoiselleG · 16/05/2014 16:44

Welcome back English!

What happened on 'This Morning'? Was it an awful experience at the birth centre?...

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 16:47

Yeah, she was at a midwife led unit miles away from a hospital.
Baby was born and they didn't realise she was hypothermic. Put her in a cot and carried on with the rounds. By the time they realised there was a problem the ambulance took her away with no notes or anything. Had to fly her in an air ambulance as it was a Sunday so they went to a few hospitals before finding one to land at.
Baby died as by the time they got to her even with the air ambulance it was too late.
They couldve saved her if the midwife had realised there was a problem.

So sad. Obviously if they had been in a birthing unit next to a hospital it might have been a much better outcome.

toots123 · 16/05/2014 17:11

Hi girls! We just got a bfp yesterday so thought I would say hello. Nice to see some familiar names from the buses

how is everyone? Im just a newby so any advice os appreciated. And can someone tell me when I call the gp? Only 4+2 so will probably wait till mid June, what do you all think?

Treaclepie19 · 16/05/2014 17:22

Congrats! :)
I went straight away but have a midwife appointment which I booked for at 10 weeks so unless you have problems I wouldn't have thought you need to Hury to tell gp :)

Doctor didn't say much when I went, or do much to be honest!

toots123 · 16/05/2014 17:43

Thanks :) yeah fair enough. We are off on holiday next week so might have to tell my family but they would find out even if things didn't work out

been feeling queasy already, didnt think it would start so early!

fancyacupoftea · 16/05/2014 18:57

Welcome Toots! I do love a new arrival.

Well it was a day from hell at work and they called to put my scan back by an hour which was fine but then had to wait over half an hour at the scan place. BUT ANYWAY... there's a baby!! They've put me back to 6+1 (thought I was 7+0) so am joining mademoiselle in having to wait bloody longer. It was lovely to see the heartbeat and it was so clear to see!

Planned to tell parents afterwards if everything went well but we don't feel like it now. Don't know whether to just do it.
