I will give my GP a call this week then I think as it's always hard to get appointments so I could be waiting like you poly.

Good luck for tomorrow treacle! I'm going to pick 1 (or 2) of them up tomorrow when shopping! Only got 1 more frers left now which I know il do tomorrow morn! Haha! Got a batch of ICs coming soon but not sure I trust them now as had nothin on them yesterday morning and then a strong line on a frer today!

RetroHippy · 26/04/2014 22:28

I officially hate bastard pee sticks.

I'm blaming a dodgy batch of wee for today's bfns Sad.

Roll on tomorrow morning! Now, which do I try first; Tescos, Superdrug or FRER?

I really hope I get at least one faint bfp or I'm pretty sure the first was a false positive. Angry Sad

Treaclepie19 · 26/04/2014 22:30

poly, I'm pretty sure they just take your word for it.
Thanks :) I'm going back to the doctors Tuesday my. Excited :)

retro false positives are so rare, try to keep positive :)

Knottyknitter · 26/04/2014 22:37

Welcome tilly

Congratulations! Yes, book in ASAP to get the ball rolling. Gp won't actually do much other than refer you on anyway, and make sure you tell the receptionist why you want the appointment in case you can skip that step like me. (Seems regional)

Feeling shattered today after pulling a 12 hour A&E shift with same again tomorrow. Bring on the day job, it'll be better than this weekend!

poly if you're seeing me on Monday (pretty unlikely, but I don't know where in the country you are, you could be based where I work!) I believe a BFP on face value but might repeat a BFN with a piac sample. If we're still unsure might be time to go to blood levels, so ask if they're something you can have where you are too as not all surgeries will do them but will refer to gynae or EPU.

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 07:55

I did my digi, 2-3 weeks :) I'm 21dpo so it's a little behind but I expected that. Just glad it's moved.

Zermatt · 27/04/2014 08:07

That's brilliant Treacle, your little Dragon bean is getting stronger :)

Congrats Tilly!

Am keeping my crossable bits all crossed for you retro, I do know people can get various results from an assortment of tests, can take quite a while to show up on others.

I have today discovered that Jaffa Cakes keep my queasiness at bay

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 08:33

Thanks zermatt :) Trying not to read into the fact it should be 3+ haha.

Ooo jaffa cakes sound good. I don't feel sick but I can pretend :p

Tilly28 · 27/04/2014 08:44

Thanks Zermatt and Knotty! Did another frer this morn and there's still a line!!! :-) think dp is starting to believe me know after 3 tests. Going to def get cb digi test to do tomorrow morn. I should be 4 weeks exactly then (according the the 8 pregnancy apps iv downloaded eeek) so will hopefully get a nice 1-2 or maybe even a 2-3 weeks!

I can't believe I have to keep this a secret for another 8 weeks! I'm rubbish at secrets, il def spill the beans before to some people I'm sure. I think il have to tell my head/deputy soon as I know they are planning classes for next year and I wouldn't want to leave it until the last min and drop them in it. When's everyone else telling work?

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 08:58

My DH only found it real when he saw the digi haha.

I'm telling work tomorrow for the same reason. My head will be working out where we go September. I'm really nervous!
Also, I'm PE co-ordinator, so I have to go to football matches and things. Do you think that's safe? I don't feel too comfortable with it really.

MademoiselleG · 27/04/2014 09:01

Hello helloooooo!

So, after a very, very faint line yesterday (only visible in a certain light and if you reaaaally believed there was one), there is a definite line on my FRER this morning! I am 11dpo and the EDD for Mademoiselle-Jr is JAnuary 6th, which was our dd's due date in 2012! She was born 11 days late so I'll be expecting no less of bean #2.

Very very exciting times for all of us and thank you to all the names I recognise on there who cheered me on along the journey. May the force of the almighty Penis Dragons be with us all Dragon Dragon roooarrr!

MademoiselleG · 27/04/2014 09:03

Oh Tilly we are EDD buddies, just like we were BFP buddies, yay!

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 09:28

Eeek congrats again :) I'm so glad this thread is filling up :)

totally not looking at prams, again

Tilly28 · 27/04/2014 09:42

Eeeek exciting mademoiselle we can compare notes all the way along! :-)

It still doesn't feel real at the moment. I think il feel more confident once Tuesday has passed as that is when I believe AF was due!

Lol don't worry Treacle before I even got bfp I'd already made a wish list on mothercare website! Haha! Like to be prepared! Think it's going to be a long wait. :-)

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 11:13

Haha glad it's not just me :)

I can't believe I've known for like a week and a half. I'm 5+4 now :)

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 11:13

Also if the doctor doesn't gie me an early scan, we're booking one so I'm excited!!!

MademoiselleG · 27/04/2014 11:23

Yay for the scan, Treacle!
And don't equerry about football fixtures etc, you'll be just fine. Being pg is exciting, not an illness :-)

MademoiselleG · 27/04/2014 11:23

Eeerrrrr... *dont worry

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 11:42

I'm only worried about the ball hitting me haha. They tend to get a bit wild.

Can't wait to book the scan :)

barmybunting · 27/04/2014 12:00

Congratulations Tilly and Mademoiselle! Very exciting for you both Smile.

Treacle, when you tell work your head will need to do a risk assessment and make any moderations necessary so that should consider PE for you. Our PE coordinator has just gone off on mat leave and was taking off that role at about 20 weeks as she'd had a tough pregnancy but I'm not sure what happened before that. I coach netball and tennis and have to be honest and say that I've found teaching PE hard going since I was about 7 weeks because of feeling sick etc, but no issues with the kids playing so far.

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 13:59

Thanks barmy, like you say I should be fine. Just trying to take it easy at the moment. I'm out of breath just stripping the bed to be honest. It's frustrating.

Tilly28 · 27/04/2014 19:36

Eeeekk just done a cb digi (saved up my wee all afternoon lol) got pregnant 1-2 weeks so that's inline with where I thought I conceived! :-) just had SIL and BIL round who's halfway through her pregnancy and we told them, they were so excited for us but told them to keep it secret for now! Dp was asking them all sorts of questions which was nice as he really showed an interest. :-)

MademoiselleG · 27/04/2014 19:53

How exciting Tilly!!

So, when the digi says 1-2 weeks, the dr. would actually add on 2 weeks from the start of the cycle and measure you at 4 weeks, wouldn't they? Just asking to know when you enter the 'safe zone', i.e. post-12 weeks. Is it 12 weeks from conception or 12 weeks from 1st day of the cycle?...

Littlebear81 · 27/04/2014 20:38

Hi everyone,

Been away for a couple of days with DH. Had my first emotional outburst when we were choosing where to go for dinner and I ended up in tears because I couldn't eat anything I wanted from the menu! Ridiculous as we still had a lovely meal but for some reason I found it hard not being able to have free reign!

Still no ms luckily but very tired. Also back to work tomorrow and know I have a stupidly busy day but trying to stay stress-free now I have someone else to worry about. Been ridiculously bloated and saw some of my closest friends today. Though they'd guess but they all think I've lost weight! Can't blame sickness so must be the lack of alcohol!

Had my scan date letter on Friday for Mon 12th May eek!! Will be officially 12 weeks but think I'll be 9-10. Really looking forward to it but also slightly scared in case everything isn't ok. Have midwife appt this week too so will let you know how it goes. Really appreciating being able to share on here as its so strange people not knowing such a massive thing!

Tilly28 · 27/04/2014 20:51

Yes I think that's the case mademoiselle so I think il be 4 weeks on Tuesday according to my dates.

Ooh yes littlebear let us know how appointment goes. I'm not sure what to expect when I call doctors, sometimes it's hard to get an appointment for weeks and other times you get that week. Can't decide when I should call but will prob do it this week as I'm a little impatient! :-)

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 21:20

That's great tilly :) my digi didn't show for ages!
