Whoop! I had a much better night :) maybe the bowl of Coco pops at bedtime did the trick or just plain exhaustion from last 2 awful nights and I'm going to have to go and get some mini eggs today after all this chatter!

JC74 · 18/03/2014 12:04

Hi, I've been reading this thread for a while but not been brave enough to post yet!
I'm 20+6 due 30th July. I had my anomaly scan last week and so far, so good :)
I'm currently under the consultant due to my previous pregnancies but I expect to be discharged this week.
Do any of you know if I will receive my MATB1 from the hospital or if I will have to wait until I see my community midwife in mid-April?

BlueC2 · 18/03/2014 12:14

Hi JC74 think you'll have to wait for the midwife to get your MATB1. Glad all seems to be going well for you

mummytobejuly2014 · 18/03/2014 12:44

Anyone been prescribed iron tablets? not heard too many good reports about them? also been referred for a liver scan Confused as dr wasnt happy with blood results. he also thinks my 24+3bump looks like im a lot further on, every scan I've had measures the baby ahead of the last one. is anyone experiencing anything similar?

ismarah · 18/03/2014 12:52

Anyone else just sit there poking the bump when bean hasn't moved in a while? Prodding it to move? I feel so mean but I also feel so much better afterwards when it's worked!

mummytobejuly2014 · 18/03/2014 12:55

ismarah icy cold drinks causes bump to liven up lol

JC74 · 18/03/2014 13:21

Thanks BlueC2 looks like I'll have to be patient!!

liquidstate · 18/03/2014 14:56

ismarah I was told to sit in a warm bath eating ice cream.

Haven't used that yet as my bump is lively enough Hmm.

Plateofcrumbs · 18/03/2014 15:13

DH likes to poke at the bump to try to encourage some action! Never seems to work though. He's managed to feel a kick once but normally it stops the disco when DH is holding his hand on the bump.

BlueC2 · 18/03/2014 16:25

DH was trying to 'wake beany up' this morning as he wanted to say hello...I was quite happy that I had a break from the kicking and my bladder was having some relief so told him to go away and try again later when I knew beany was awake :)

DS being a little delight this afternoon playing away quietly with his toys whilst I prepare dinner and surf MN his latest thing is stuffing the pockets of his sweatshirt with the small wooden animals from his Noah's Ark! Though of course as I've just typed that he's now started playing up a bit...typical!

AuntieMaggie · 18/03/2014 16:29

No chocolate egg cravings here... just cake Grin

plate my DP is the same...

AuntieMaggie · 18/03/2014 18:31

So I've gone and signed up for pregnancy yoga but having read some of the comments here I'm not sure what I've let myself in for! First session tonight and I'm already thinking I would rather have a bath then bed!

jaykay987 · 18/03/2014 18:57

auntie - enjoy! My class is tonight and I'm gutted I can't go!

mine is very low key but I always get such a good night's sleep afterwards! luckily mine isn't too airy fairy!

jbiscuits · 18/03/2014 19:04

plate - mine does the same, really wriggly one minute, but as soon as dh puts his hand on bump then zilch. I think baby is already getting in the practice of winding daddy up!

Dh came home with mini eggs today as the corner shop didn't have any so am now trying not to demolish the bag too quickly Grin

Plateofcrumbs · 18/03/2014 20:14

Ha, baby has been going crazy this evening - kick kick kick! But every time DH comes near it stops! Naughty baby!

Howly · 18/03/2014 20:45

Ha our baby does that too! She's been going mad tonight, booting me in the bladder!

AuntieMaggie · 18/03/2014 21:43

Yoga was very relaxing (who was it with the instructor making them do painful stretches to simulate the pain of childbirth or did I imagine that?)

Instructor shared a story from a lady who gave birth last month who went in to be induced and had 3 nights of stuff being done through the night before actually going into labour so was knackered by the time it started!

AuntieMaggie · 18/03/2014 21:44

Yesterday baby was kicking me in my lady bits - now that was weird!

ellentullo · 18/03/2014 21:45

I would love some mini eggs but chocolate guaranteed to set the heartburn off at the moment. Such a shame, but the pain/pleasure ratio isn't worth it right now. I always used to be an evening choc person but no longer......

icklekid · 18/03/2014 22:01

ellen know the feeling have to weigh up if heartburn is worth it!

Glad others dh pokes bump to wake baby up, dh did feel kicking a while ago but not recently!

MrsB2013 · 18/03/2014 22:08

Zing great news on the house!!

I have a very lively baby today, usually he's quiet most of the day and then I get kicks in the evening, but not today!! He does kick when DH talks to him which is nice.

Had my 25 week doctors appointment today, everything is fine. I asked about the rib pain, she thinks I may have pulled a muscle Confused

Has anyone used or heard of this company before? They have some good pram + car seat packages:

Plateofcrumbs · 19/03/2014 01:22

auntieMaggie - was me who had the yoga instructor making us do deliberately painful squats, although someone else said the same thing happened in their class - but it was a good exercise, honest! Our class is generally quite hard work but I like that, I feel like I need the exercise. I have been to another class which was much less physical and more 'omm' so I guess it depends on the instructor etc.

ZingSweetCoconut · 19/03/2014 04:52

I woke up with a nosebleed an hour ago.

I don't know if I just happened to wake up then I bled or my body woke me up just before it started - but it was strange

AuntieMaggie · 19/03/2014 08:48

plate my class is inbetween the two I think though having been to only one class I may be wrong! Still didn't sleep well last night though :( really achy today and my head hurts which is not allowed as I have too much work to do!

zing hope your nose has stopped bleeding

Plateofcrumbs · 19/03/2014 09:57

I feel exactly like you today auntiemaggie - absolutely exhausted, could happily go straight back to bed but have a huge amount of work to do...sigh
