DP is travelling up to London today to record for pointless! I've never met the girl he's going on with, he said it was a friend from back along.... Turns out it's the best friend of an ex and pointless book all of the travel/accommodation arrangements and put them in a twin room. With hormones flying all over the place I wasn't best pleased when I found out!

KitKatChick · 19/03/2014 14:26

Fifi - In my current hormonal state where I tell DH off for trying to be helpful and washing my gym outfit when I want to wear it I'd be furious! Hope he's feeling at least a little bit bad and will be spoiling you rotten when he's back!

icklekid · 19/03/2014 17:05

With you all in the exhausted but too much work stress! Was in tears at 8.30- so many people off sick and then supply going missing causing me to walk all over school for 20mins was in agony just on the floor in agony! Kids were great today so made up for it anyway but been collapsed on the sofa for last hour eating crisps!

Plateofcrumbs · 19/03/2014 17:43

icklekid that sucks! Makes my job sound like a breeze.

Off on holiday tomorrow (yay!) but reckon I'm going to working all evening and then will need to take my laptop to work on the flight tomorrow (booooo!) Hopefully by the time we touch down in the US of A I'll be done and can actually enjoy holiday time (whoo!)

AuntieMaggie · 19/03/2014 18:10

Oooh hope you have a nice holiday plate Envy

I have decisions to make regarding my future employment and its hurting my head :( there are so many unknowns but because of the massive amount of changes going on I need to try and put across my wishes before going on maternity given what I do know...

Incapinka · 19/03/2014 19:30

Happy holiday plate. Am very jealous. And knackered. Went out with friends last night and didn't get to bed until after midnight only to be awake 5 hours later. Have ridden 2 horses today plus running around after a toddler and now think I may go to bed at the same time as DS. Aren't we meant to get some energy in the second trimester??!!

Hello ladies
Had a bit of of a scare today: nearly fainted three times on my way back from work. It happened each time I climbed a flight of stairs and when I went up an incline. Had to stop several times to stop myself from falling or throwing up. Is this normal at this stage 22wks?

ZingSweetCoconut · 19/03/2014 20:04

osi

not normal IMO, but anaemia and changes in blood pressure are so get both checked.

and take it easy. sounds scary!

AuntieMaggie · 19/03/2014 20:44

blue meant to say the coco pops could've helped your sleep - I think milk has something in it that helps the sleep hormone or something... tonight i am trying hot choc and hypnotherapy thing so fingers crossed

osinachi · 19/03/2014 21:46

Thanks zing. Will call surgery tomorrow. Just feeling a bit unwell.:( off to sleep bed. Or rather not leaving bed where I've been since I got back from work.

ZingSweetCoconut · 19/03/2014 22:19

call 111 tonight Osi , I think talking to someone will reassure you (and me!Wink )

I'm not suggesting there's anything seriously wrong with you, but I'm a worrying type.

ismarah · 20/03/2014 01:53

Anyone else having downward kicks? Like fanjo / bottom direction? Weird.

BlueC2 · 20/03/2014 03:05

Been awake for an hour, 3am = Coco pops time though did have a bowl before bed too! Poor DH only just finished prep for work tomorrow and has to be back up at 6am and do 6 hours teaching a training course! Suspect my concern for him could be cause of insomnia tonight though I somehow have to work and look after DS tomorrow which is also getting me down as I will just want to sleep when he goes down for his nap and not sit at a desk working! But if DH and I can survive til Friday then we're on hols next week which is great :) though I have yet to pack and have no time nor energy to do so

icklekid · 20/03/2014 04:22

Ohh zing have an amazing time, hope work gets finished quickly

auntie you can ask to be kept in touch about everything that is going on so you don't end up regretting any decision you made whilst on maternity?

Wide awake here too blue can't face getting up as just painful.

osi definitely get checked out, probably nothing but will reassure you and could be an easy solution.

Why does pregnancy seem to be so much harder for me than anyone else I know??!

BlueC2 · 20/03/2014 07:32

Just so tired! Had horrid vivid dream I was being beaten up by gang of youths in New York subway too. When I woke up I was so tense I could barely move and must've stressed beany out with heart racing adrenaline reaction to the dream as bump been a kick boxing ring ever since-dream was at 6am! DS wide awake but I'm pretending I can't here the Mummy calls as the day will have to start properly when I get him. Sorry for tired moan!

AuntieMaggie · 20/03/2014 08:01

ismarah I have had those kicks - a little harder to 'ignore' especially in public!

ickle Yes they will keep me in touch but there are a few options that have been presented to me which aren't my preference but if I choose them now I should be more secure and get in before all the formal stuff where I would have to compete for a job. So hard when you don't know who you will be working with or what you will be doing but you know that where you are will be very different by the time maternity is over and you may not be therr anyway!

ZingSweetCoconut · 20/03/2014 08:06

Osi

how was your night? how are you feeling this morning?

ZingSweetCoconut · 20/03/2014 08:08

ismarah

yep, I'm getting fanjo kicks - that means baby's breech for now.

(was at 20 weeks scan)

ZingSweetCoconut · 20/03/2014 08:09

ickle

you mixed me up with someone - I ain't going anywhereSad

Grin
AuntieMaggie · 20/03/2014 10:06

Aww zing I'm not going anywhere either... apart from Belgium to watch a stoopid bike race...

ismarah · 20/03/2014 12:25

Oh good. I hadn't clocked them as kicks but it finly dawned on me after a poking-bean session to make her move. Bean's been breach from the start, pretty much. In all scans she's sort of upright.

ZingSweetCoconut · 20/03/2014 12:44

I crave orange stuff all the time

oranges, satsumas, mandarins.

Jaffa cakes

I even have orange nails.

We'll call him/her Marmalade! Grin

AuntieMaggie · 20/03/2014 12:48

ZingSweetCoconut · 20/03/2014 13:28
