Know the frustration biscuit the pushchair we wanted was excluded last time mamas and papas had a sale very frustrating. We're now playing a waiting game as no need to rush and buy it, although that would be nice!

Trying to persuade dh to have a bbq tomorrow as meant to be lovely, have bought all the stuff, hes even mowed the lawn but think we may end up grilling and eating outside!

Also totally addicted to skips at the moment! Anyone else any random cravings?

BlueC2 · 15/03/2014 17:14

ickle I'm hoping we may manage a BBQ tomorrow too though this will be the first since DS has been v active on his feet...last summer he was only just walking so could be interesting tomorrow!

coco808 · 15/03/2014 20:26

Happy sunny weekend everyone!! Have been swamped at work lately so haven't managed to post. Spoke with my obstetrician friend about my pelvic pain as my GP is on holiday and the locum has no time to see me. She has diagnosed me with SPD Sad. has been taking me 15 mins to get out of my car and bed!! what a pain! how are you doing liquid

so have we all had our 20 week scans??

AhoyMcCoy · 15/03/2014 20:37

I'm another one at a BBQ tomorrow - yay!!

I have near constant rib pain, and pain at the top of bump. Can't sit upright at work for even a few hours before it's near unbareable. I'm constantly moving round/fidgiting and leaning back in my chair. Because it's DC1 I just don't know how much pain/uncomfortableness is normal to tolerate! If it's only going to get worse and this pain will seem like nothing in comparison then I'll shut up and bear it, but I just want it to stop so much!!

lemonpoppyseed · 15/03/2014 23:32

Icklekid: SKIPS!

I haven't thought about them in so long. Now of course have a massive craving with virtually no chance of getting them (the perils of living overseasHmm). My mum is coming to visit in early April - I will ask her to fill her suitcase with them!

we won't know till Monday if it's accepted.

please can you have some limbs, fingers. toes, eyes crossed for us? we really need this to work out

going to bed now, I wish I could stop thinking about this!

ZingSweetCoconut · 16/03/2014 01:22

oh, and as I'm just 5 months pg, here's my new name to reflect ever-growing baby's size!

Smile
BlueC2 · 16/03/2014 03:02

Coco and ahoy so sorry about the pain you're in!

zing ooh-exciting stuff re the house! Hope all goes well!

So DS woke me up at midnight-it's now 3am and I'm still awake-grrr! Just trying food for the second time to see if that sorts me but am resigned to being exhausted tomorrow yet again :( so frustrating as I had such nice sleep from 10-12!

icklekid · 16/03/2014 05:23

coco join the dreaded spd club- get some anti natal physio it does help.

ahoy am also 1st timer but I think constant pain should mean a trip to gp-mention your pregnant and they should give a same day appointment.

lemon sorry...but they are so worth it!

zing fingers and toes crossed would be amazing to start everything moving, house hunting/buying is so stressful :-( would this be the top of the chain?

icklekid · 16/03/2014 05:24

Oh and hope your asleep blue...

mummytobejuly2014 · 16/03/2014 07:19

ahoy is it on your right? mine is. dr signed me off work for a week with upper right quadrant pain. thinks its either gallbladder or skeletal, pain kicks in after most food making me think its gall bladder. have to make another appointment. she said its fine to take paracetamol for the pain

Plateofcrumbs · 16/03/2014 07:23

coco and ahoy sorry to hear about the SPD/pain.

I'm feeling very lucky that the only pain I'm in at the moment is a result of our yoga teacher giving us a particularly tough session yesterday - probably just as well as it's the only exercise I'm getting at the moment. So much for all my plans for keeping active - I blame winter as much as pregnancy. Might attempt to ride my bike today - soooo much more appealing in the sunshine!

zing I have my fingers crossed for the house stuff!

Plateofcrumbs · 16/03/2014 07:27

Oh and I had misfortune of reading that Scarlett Johansson is 5 months pregnant. Here she is "showing off her baby bump" according to the Daily Mail:

ZingSweetCoconut · 16/03/2014 08:37

Thanks lovelies.

if their offer is accepted we have First time Buyers - Our Buyers - Us - Our Sellers - Ready to move out couple!
so only 5 links in the chain!

if I wasn't pg I'd get wasted and sleep till tomorrow 4pm so I don't have to think about it! Grin Grin Grin

liquidstate · 16/03/2014 08:43

Coco do go and get help for the pain. I did a group session at the hospital where we were taught exercises to help and the pain had gone down a lot. Also I now do aqua exercises in a hydrotherapy pool.

Put a plastic bag on the seat in the car and swivel out with both legs. And well basically try and keep your legs together.

ahoy I also have pains in my ribcage but they are extreme shooting pains when I sneeze or vomit with a kind of constant tightness the rest of the time. Am seeing Dr this week for my 25 week (eek!) check up so will raise it then.

Scarlett Johansson makes me want to do stabby things. Apart from lost in translation where she is tolerable I can't watch anything with her in.

DH is on the farm today for lambing open day which I can't go to as there are lambs. I am going to head into town to spend some money. Grin

Plateofcrumbs · 16/03/2014 09:28

I know I'm being daft but I'm currently having a panic as I haven't had a good solid kick out of the baby for a couple of days plus I was feeling under the weather since we got back from Morocco, where I wasn't as cautious as I might have been about what I ate.

Which in my hormone-addled hypochondriac mind obviously means I've contracted listeriosis.

Confused

Can someone please give me a slap.

ZingSweetCoconut · 16/03/2014 09:35

plate

call hospital and ask if you can go in for a trace (to listen to heartbeat)

baby probably shifted position and is kicking towards your spine - you will not feel these.
but as it worries you I think you should get checked out, no problem.

Plateofcrumbs · 16/03/2014 09:48

Oh god don't encourage me zing - although actually that's a good reality check - am I worried enough that I want to spend a glorious sunny day in the hospital waiting room? Answer: nope. Wink

I have felt some movement (including just now) but just little flutters, no strong kicks for a while - as you say it's probably karate kicking my spine rather than my bladder, for which I should be grateful!

AuntieMaggie · 16/03/2014 09:59

Morning ladies. What a beautiful day :) Shame I'm going to spend most of it sorting my damn clothes out!

Sorry some of you are in pain - I've now got a physio referral for the pain I get in my legs so fingers crossed as I can only stand for about 5 mins and can't make it round our Aldi without needing to sit down. Which wouldn't be a problem if DP were psychic and knew what I need him to do!

Enjoy your BBQs - very jealous but our garden is too much of a mess to even consider it (one of the things I wish DP had done 'yesterday' )

Roxyxxxx · 16/03/2014 12:34

Can I be added to the list please?! I am due July 7th :-)

Hello fellow lovely mummy's to be!

elliejjtiny · 16/03/2014 15:01

Welcome Roxy.

My GTT test went a lot better than I thought. Had to eat humble pie though as the MCA wanted to try before getting the anaesthetist and he got it first time both times! I'm in shock, even the anaesthetist took 3 goes to get my booking in bloods.

AuntieMaggie · 16/03/2014 16:00

ellie glad the GTT was ok - ime it depends on the individual rather than their job as to whether they can get the blood easily or not... one op I had the anaesthetist was doing such a bad job that they knocked me out with gas as I was about to get off the trolley and run away!

Welcome roxy.

Howly · 16/03/2014 18:01

Ha icklekid I have the same skips craving!! I've not eaten them for years, but love them and eating them daily!

Hello all, not been able to write this week as been manic at work and no doubt i'll go quiet this week as I anticipate more mania!

I had my 2nd 20 week scan on Thurs after baby was in an awkward position for the 1st, its still a girl and all is well. Been feeling really good this week so fingers crossed long may it continue!

Went to a lovely wedding in Somerset yesterday but had a few run ins with food that I probably shouldn't be eating but I'm not panicking too much, wedding breakfasts are always a bit like that; we had goats cheese to start, I ate it as it was warmed through and was expensive stuff, champagne sorbet (which I didn't like so only ate a mouthful), red wine in the gravy and accidentally ate the pate part of my beef wellington (but again had been cooked so bugs would have been killed off) needless to say I had a food hangover from eating too much though! Baby is kicking away now so I think she is fine! Just to ween myself off the creme eggs and mini eggs!

Feeling emotional today, my DH and I are living apart in the week at the moment as he has started a new job and I'm not leaving mine until May so having to say goodbye to him every weekend is getting harder and harder, cried all the way home in the car after dropping him at the train station!

AuntieMaggie · 16/03/2014 18:49

Awww Howly sending you a hug. I feel like that about leaving DP when I have to at the moment. Apart from today. Today he's getting on my wick. You can borrow him if you like Grin

I have far too many clothes - I have vacuum bags coming out of my ears and spent the morning sorting out my clothes so that the only ones to hand are those that fit! I don't want to throw too much out though cos I have some lovely stuff... I just need it to fit Grin

MrsB2013 · 16/03/2014 19:16

Ahoy I have the same rib pain, it hurts so much, feels like my ribs are bruised and the top of my bump feels sore. I've got my 25 week doctors appointment this week so see what they say.

Plate I had a very quiet baby last week, not many kicks at all, then this week he wont keep still!

Welcome Roxy
