Hi all, I have my BFP and due 30th October. It's my third baby and was 2 weeks late with the last two so bound to be November.

Anybody else for November yet? I know it's very very early :)

I'm not sure KittyVonCat should still be on the roll-call. I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure I saw her back on the March TTC bus just before I came along here.

Nessalina · 04/03/2014 13:58

Oh dear, yes, Kitty seems to be back on the bus Sad

Nessalina · 04/03/2014 14:05

I'm in Leeds! I've had a busy baby-based day Grin
Went to see my Fetal Medicine Consultant first thing, and it was v.nice to be able to say I was already upduffed! She's booked me in for my 12 week scan with another consultant on 29th April. It would be very unlucky for lightning to strike twice with another chromosome disorder, but at least if there's issues we're straight in with the expert.
Then headed to the GPs and my booking appt is booked for 25th March, nice & early so they can do official referral to consultants office. No early scan for me though! Not sure I'll bother to pay for one, last time I had spotting at 7 weeks and we had a scan, everything looked great, heartbeat and all, so we felt really good, but it was just too early to see what was wrong. So might hold out for the 12 weeker when it'll either be good news or bad, but there shouldn't be any maybies!

Nessalina · 04/03/2014 14:12

Thought I'd just check on some of our other ladies, and it looks like Squeaky is also back on the bus. Best wishes to you Squeaky if you're still reading! Flowers

Nessalina it does sound like you've had a very productive day! Like you said, hopefully you won't have any problems this time around, but it's nice to know you're in the right hands. I also have been toying with the idea of an early scan, but hubby didn't think it was a good idea. I suppose he's right, as I still won't be reassured until the 12 week scan.

RandomInternetStranger · 04/03/2014 14:46

I'm in Surrey. The midwifery care here when I was having my daughter was outstanding and I can't fault the hospital at all, they seem to go overboard with scans and keeping an eye on you and I feel in very safe hands here. I have my first midwife appt a week today and can't wait!

I'm still in the frantic cleaning frenzy. Doing a room a day but properly cleaning out every drawer and cupboard and pulling out furniture to hoover & mop behind. Can't believe how nice my house looks now! I need to invite people over fast before it turns into a shit tip again! lol! Grin

flipflopsonfifthavenue · 04/03/2014 15:38

hi, thought I'd join in.
had IVF, found out yesterday that it was successful - am due November 7th. Seems such a long way away...
This is DC2 so I know that time will eventually pass, but I'd forgotten how long it seems when you're at this end of it!

Tigsy · 04/03/2014 15:57

flipflopsonfifthavenue Congratulations and welcome!

booksshoescats · 04/03/2014 15:58

Welcome, flipflops - and congratulations. Doesn't it just! The longest bit of the pg by far.

Ness I was an university in Leeds - love it there! Sounds like you had a really good day - great that you are feeling looked after right from the beginning.

Random - can you come and do mine when you've finished? I don't know where to start with some of our cupboards. The clothes were easy (I love sorting clothes) but the rest is a bit daunting!

Giraffeski · 04/03/2014 16:46

You have all inspired me, I am going to sort out my clothes tonight. Having been pregnant or breastfeeding for the past two years and now prospectively for the next two years, I have a LOT of clothes which need getting rid of.

Tigsy · 04/03/2014 17:18

What are your thoughts on early private scans? I said to hubby I'd like to think about getting one as think it might reassure me somewhat, but he wasn't sure it was a good idea. I know it still doesn't provide any guarantees but I think if I saw a heartbeat I'd feel better, as never got to that stage with the previous mc. Also I'd feel better about telling parents etc if I'd actually seen something for myself! 12 weeks just seems a lifetime to wait.....

LittleMissSunshine33 · 04/03/2014 18:34

Hi All Welcome FlipFlop!! I'm in Kent, a nice mix of places!

My partner and I are going for the 8 week scan it's £60 but there is an offer at the moment to pay more and have your 12 week one there as well and in 3D!

I'm finding it hard thinking about even 12 weeks ahead at the mo! I just want to touchwood every time I talk about it Blush

Tigsy · 04/03/2014 18:43

LittleMiss where's the scan? The cheapest I found so far was £100. Might be cheaper for me to go to Kent. I've got myself in a right state this evening- tears and everything! Think I managed to get myself worked up by thinking about the scan and realising how worried I am about something going wrong Sad

starfish99 · 04/03/2014 18:58

hello everyone!

I'm tentatively poking my head in! Was astonished to discover I was pregnant on Saturday and have been in disbelief ever since! Had a mmc in Jan so really nervous, and had a bit of bleeding which isn't helping (thought it was my period at first hence the shock!)

think I'm due around 11th November.

weeonion · 04/03/2014 19:08

Good evening folks!
I'm gonna be an older mum at 42 with dd1 just about to turn 7.

I reckon due date is 6th Nov but appt with doc on Thurs.
Feeling excited, scared and nervous but nice to have a new MN group to "bloom" with.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 04/03/2014 20:12

Hi weeonion and starfish welcome!

Tigsy it's in kingshill I think it was called kent medical imaging not sure how much the 3D scan part is though!

It's nice to talk to people who seem to have it on their mind as much as I do! It's so hard having know one who knows so no one but OH to talk to (who is being amazing bless him! )

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 04/03/2014 20:25

I don't think you can learn a great deal from an early scan tigsy but if you have past problems or reasons to be concerned then worth doing if it puts your mind at rest. Better than being stressed. I find the 3d scans a bit freaky, not sure why.

Hi starfish and weeonion.

I definitely feel different this time round. I hope it's not a sign that things aren't right. Could just be a different sex I guess.

You had a V productive day ness. My sister had a similar pregnancy to your first one and through her I know others who also did and then went on to have healthy pregnancies. Fx all will be great. Xx

Nessalina · 04/03/2014 21:23

Welcome flipflops, starfish, & weeonion! Smile
We're still quite a select little group - must be lots of November BFPs to arrive yet!

Hehe, yes, I'm feeling v.smug like I've done lots of useful stuff! I even got home from the doctors and started steaming the wallpaper in the lounge off Blush Looks like the nesting's got me too! Smile
books - I went to Leeds too! Loved the place so much I stuck about Grin
Wil - there's probably lots of people I know that have had the same issue, but no-one talks about it, it's very odd. I keep doing my best to reassure my myself that the odds are small, and I'm going ok so far!

Ha! I forgot to say, bloody hospital has the worst parking EVER, 2hrs is about £4, and there's never any spaces! This morning I circled for 20mins, toyed with parking in the 'delivery suite emergency drop off' (Shock), and finally parked on double yellows and ran in for my appointment! Was in for 20mins and miraculously didn't get a ticket. Phew! Definitely getting a taxi when actual baby arriving time comes!

RandomInternetStranger · 04/03/2014 23:02

Pregnancy farts are becoming a real problem. I'm surprised the wallpaper is still up.

Nessalina · 05/03/2014 05:18

Glad it's not just me Random! On my way out from the GP's office one slipped out as I opened the door to go Blush I brazened it out hoping she'd think her door had suddenly started creaking Confused

LittleMissSunshine33 · 05/03/2014 06:40

Haha me too! My OH said I'm doing it more than him which I don't believe! I was reading last night that most symptoms start around 6 weeks eg nausea and tiredness I keep thinking I've had it lucky but it may be it's just too early ... Damn!

WinterLover · 05/03/2014 06:44

My symptoms started at 4 weeks. With DS thry started about 7 weeks.

I really could do to go back to bed but no chance, we have ofsted at work today Sad

LittleMissSunshine33 · 05/03/2014 06:57
