Old thread is getting full so here's a nice new one for all our moaning, paranoia and getting each other through it. Can someone do the honers and copy our edd list over? Maybe link the old thread too?

I am around 7 weeks now (I think!) and have incredibly sore and swollen boobs, and still getting occasional cramps, but doc says unless it is persistent or very severe not to worry at this stage.

Last two days have been getting headaches very similar to those I get when I am on a period, so gather they are all hormone related.

Wind is awful - excruciating stomach aches with it almost daily. :-(

Got my midwife appt this Friday, not quite sure what to expect with it all.

I had a salad moment on sunday ;) I just had crunch on cucumber and lettuce! And I had a satsuma moment on monday...which descended to double cheeseburger moment on tuesday and cake with custard on Wednesday!! Thank goodness I cant stand kebabs or I fear one of those could have its moment! I dont think I could succumb to that craving no matter how bad I wanted it!

The vauxhall meriva is a good size family car...and the zafira makes for a massive boot if you stow away the two extra seats!

Oh McDonald's...I'd literally walk the country for one right now. Here in Mexico, the nearest one is 40 miles away. That made me cry the other day. Seconding the imploding while sneezing. It scares me every time, feel like my insides are about to fall out!

Definitely don't envy those not on their first pregnancy; I can barely cope with just me! I kind of want someone to invent a hibernation technique so I can sleep for the next 7 months, cut out the worrying and the sickness! I think I'm halfway there already, the amount I'm sleeping!

Glad your scan went well SweetPea.

Sad Sorry your feeling so rough bump.

I could really do with some advice/reassurance. DP came home and said one of the people on his team at work has been signed off with shingles. Both DD and I have never had chicken pox but DP has. Could he somehow be carrying it without knowing and pass it on to one of us? I know it can be really dangerous in early pregnancy. What should I do? Ship DP off to his mums just in case?

Yay sweetpeapods! GrinGrinGrin
Sorry you're feeling so rough bump. They say it gets better in the second trimester for most people.
I don't think you need to worry care bear. There's no reason why your DP would carry shingles from someone at work.
Portico, glad it's not just me with the sneezing - it's crippling sometimes! I had it with DS too.

Hey all,

How is everyone this evening?

Great news for all those who have scans and received midwife appointments this week, exciting times!!

CareBearWithFangs I am almost certain you can only contract shingles if you have had chicken pox, something about the chicken pox virus staying in your system ...Might be worth checking in with your gp
to be sure.

I too have had very unpredictable bowel movements. But, I have managed to work my way through almost 4 litres of fruit juice in the last 3 days....so the answer may lay there

I am a vegetarian, and have always worried I might crave meat or fish when pregnant, so far not, but do think this talk of maccy d's could push me over the edge....Blush...

Evening all. Firstly big hugs to Brian hope you get RL hugs today.
Sorry to all those feeling rough- it's all happening for a good/ exciting reason.
My booking appointment was about 30-40 mins. I'm quite straight forward, no illnesses, low risk so may be longer for others. Lots of questions basically.

Just got home from work and now sat upstairs as DH pissing me off- no washing up done, not done his dinner (I'm not doing it for him) football on and generally being a slob. Grrr, sorry for ranting, I'll blame the hormones Hmm

carebearwithfangy, I wouldn't worry too much - as far as I know, for shingles, I think it's much harder to catch than chickenpox - there has to be more or less direct contact unless it's really widespread.

bumpforme, sorry you're feeling so terrible! Most people seem to think it gets easier in the next few weeks...I'll believe it when I see it! I work with another girl who's pregnant, she's got no symptoms at all, meanwhile I'm sitting in a heap in the corner, the grumpiest human in the country!

Hi Magichandles, nice to have an EDD buddy to share this with. And this will be your dc3 too, how old are your others?
I am feeling fine apart from painful trapped wind and being a bit off my food, hope that continues.
Gp appt on Mon to get onto the system which might make it feel more real.
Congratulations to all who had scans this week, how exciting!

NB I was not one of the people hoping for sickness to make it feel more real.

Jeepers, I may kill my DH with all this hormonal craziness. Today I have been cleaning, cooking, clothes washing, looking after DD & dog walking on my precious day off. DH came home, stuck his hand into a bowl of grated Parmesan and shoved it in his mouth spilling it all over freshly mopped kitchen floor! Then flounced off in huff when I told him off.
Rarrr!
Off to bed before I do damage!

ExcitedCJ I know how you feel. Am worried that when the LO comes along he'll remain as clueless to housework as now. Just woke him up with crashing washing up- guilted him into doing it!
FX i don't stay this awful for too much longer Smile

Munday I didn't get this rage last time, I'm keeping my FX too, one minute I could cry with frustration the next I have a 30 sec fuse!
The reply I got when highlighting the insensitive act was - "sure the dog will lick it up, you should go to bed obviously you are hormonal & tired!"
Aaaahhh!
