CONGRATS TO EENY & BOOBY SO PLEASED FOR YOU!!!
Beautiful photo of Alex, Eeny & Sal.
Aussiemama, hope Zachary is on the mend & you have all the support you need.
Snow - ouch. That is not nice ... kick up a fuss so they stich you up properly, get an experienced surgeon if you possibly can. I delivered a 10.6lbs baby 3 yrs ago & had an episiotomy, but stiched & healed really well because the senior registrar just happened to be really good with a needle. FWIW I have no recurring probs at all with pelvic floor etc, did physio once pw & at home for first 6-8 weeks & that helped. Also post-natal yoga. HTH and good luck.
My news is that baby is a girl ( we hadn't known before as was in tight ball for previous scans) & also sizing scan suggested that she would be 9lbs at term, so I either have the c/s or induction on the due date, depending on how cervix is looking. They will give me a sweep at 38 wks, re-examine me at 39, and not let me go a minute over my due date so that I don't have to deliver a monster again!!
Will keep you all posted!!
PS DId anyone see that our thread was used on BBC News 24 as an example of Mumsnet re the umentionable debate?? Just a quick scroll thru with a voiceover saying that site was primarily used for mums to support each other thru pregnancy, childbrith etc. FAME AT LAST!!!!!!
