burstingbug · 10/08/2006 08:55

My midwife said the dr could pescribe piriton.
I'm still itchy, but put more calmine lotion on this morning, has eased a little.
Due today wonder if baby will show itself?

trix1 · 10/08/2006 08:59

Dreamy - I have just emailed you on the email address below - I might be able to get on msn if you invite me to talk, thats how I usually get on. Frustrating!

I really dont think these period type pains are anything to get excited about they are not strong enough.

melsy · 10/08/2006 09:11

(angry)

PinkTulips · 10/08/2006 11:16

well done booby for getting to 8cm babe, you must be so proud! gladyou and charlie jayne are ok now, looking forward to hearing from you again

sal & eeny, well done and welcome to alexander... fantastic weight for 4 weeks early!

YellowFeathers · 10/08/2006 13:27

Ahhh
proper MN time

Welcome to Bugpurple and Angeliz!

Hope your all ok and still surviving Am getting moodier and moodier by the day!
Had a MW appt yesterday, thankfully baby has turned onto his side now so no longer back to back, is fully engaged and ready to get the hell outta there lol!
After yesterdays regular contractions that came and went I asked very nicely if she would do a sweep for me. She said no as shes certain I'll go on my own without help. She also became quite excited when I told her cervix was anterior and ripe. However she added, in the rare and unfortunate case of me going over she will do a sweep for me next week. I liked that when they were checking babys position I had a contraction so at least they knew I wasn't telling porkies lol

Have been doing the reflexology and ahem (you know what) so hopefully these combined will get me somewhere!

Washed the baby bottles today and stuffed them in the steriliser in case BF doesn't go well and at least then dh can sort them ready for when we come home.

I'll be on all day so if anyone wants, give me a beep

xxx

Congrats to Booby and baby Charlie Jayne, bet your well chuffed for getting so far, we're all proud of you hun! Cant wait to hear from you x

Congrats to Eeny & Sal and baby Alex - he is sooo gorgeous brought a tear to my eye! Look forward to hearing how it all went.

Well I woke up today feeling bored sh*tless as I've got nothing left to do - done all housework, caught up with al my friends b4 B-day. Finished my membership at the gym so no swimming and just seem to be sitting on my ass watching crappy tv and talking to my bump willing him/her to hurry the hell up and give me some signs! At this rate I feel I'm going to be pg forever and will never meet my baba? Freddy hope the sweep works for you hun, I'm booked in for mine on Monday so fingers crossed! Am so envious of all these lo's arriving early...sounds like bliss! I'm just hoping now that I've gone over its not gonna be a 10lb'er and ends up getting stuck!

I havent had a crampy feeling or any contractions yet? Surely I should be experiencing something at 40+3? Still getting lots of movement which suppose is a good sign?

Have been on raspberry tea for 2 weeks now and even had sex last night - but not a twinge! Oh Ladies, forgot to mention that the midwife asked me what sexual position I'd been doing - how She said best position is man from behind, (doggie-stylee) I was so

Sorry to rant but am just feeling very very bored with the whole situation now and want to be a mommy x

dreamydowler · 10/08/2006 15:11

oh poor you BHM you sound really fed up and how embarrassing of the midwife lets hope it works though

YellowFeathers · 10/08/2006 15:15

Both my MW and the nurse at the hospital on Monday said plenty of sex to get things going.
Did it this morn Still nothing though

Afternoon everyone. Well I have been up all night being sick and having diarohhea. No, not a sign of labour just of some dodgy minced beef we had for tea last night . Feeling quite drained and tired today. Mum & dad have had ds all day as I couldn't cope with him. DH has been running to the toilet all day as well - he had the same as me. At one point, I didn't know which end to put on the toilet!! sorry if tmi. Anyway, before I forget...

CONGRATULATIONS TO EENY & SAL

Wow! 4 weeks early and such a size! He would have brought tears to your eyes if he had gone to term!

Hope everyone else ok and just for the record - I WANT TO BE NEXT!!!!!!!!!!

YellowFeathers · 10/08/2006 17:46

Hi girls!

Just to let you know, have been chatting with Melsy this afternoon and later on she noticed she had been leaking a bit. Later she said it was slightly coloured so shes rung her hospital who have asked her to go in to be checked.
Shes also been having alot of tightnings too so maybe things could be happening for her.

I said I'd let you all know and if I hear from her I'll report straight back!

dreamydowler · 10/08/2006 19:03

burstingbug · 10/08/2006 19:13

All these girls with things happening its not fair!
Still no sign of anything happening with me yet, had another chilli this evening.

olivo · 10/08/2006 19:37

sounds promising for melsy!
i've had diarrohea (sp?) this evening and funny pains all afternoon but not convinced its anything - as a first timer, will i know?

also, (grim question, sorry!) have had a heavier discharge today, not unpleasant or anything- is that a sign of anything?

hope evryone is well.

muminaquandary · 10/08/2006 19:54

CONGRATS TO EENY & BOOBY SO PLEASED FOR YOU!!!

Beautiful photo of Alex, Eeny & Sal.

Aussiemama, hope Zachary is on the mend & you have all the support you need.

Snow - ouch. That is not nice ... kick up a fuss so they stich you up properly, get an experienced surgeon if you possibly can. I delivered a 10.6lbs baby 3 yrs ago & had an episiotomy, but stiched & healed really well because the senior registrar just happened to be really good with a needle. FWIW I have no recurring probs at all with pelvic floor etc, did physio once pw & at home for first 6-8 weeks & that helped. Also post-natal yoga. HTH and good luck.

My news is that baby is a girl ( we hadn't known before as was in tight ball for previous scans) & also sizing scan suggested that she would be 9lbs at term, so I either have the c/s or induction on the due date, depending on how cervix is looking. They will give me a sweep at 38 wks, re-examine me at 39, and not let me go a minute over my due date so that I don't have to deliver a monster again!!

Will keep you all posted!!

PS DId anyone see that our thread was used on BBC News 24 as an example of Mumsnet re the umentionable debate?? Just a quick scroll thru with a voiceover saying that site was primarily used for mums to support each other thru pregnancy, childbrith etc. FAME AT LAST!!!!!!

muminaquandary · 10/08/2006 19:56

PS Olivo do you htink it is the show? and, aherm, have you got any left on your knickers / ST as mw may want to see ... (lucky her!!)

YellowFeathers · 10/08/2006 20:43
