sending you loads more vibes today girls... hope you all pop over the next day or so

katylou... get your husband home sweetie... just because the build up is slow doesn't meant the actual birth will be, i went from 5cm to pushing in 2 huge contractions with caleb. better safe than sorry, you don't want to be in full blown labour still waiting for dh to get home!

dreamydowler · 29/08/2006 13:57

oh micromum sorry your midwifes visit wasnt more positive getting really fed up now everyone being really stroppy today and as usual I get the brunt sitting filling out forms and making phone calls and trying to keep dd from moaning cant wait to get to hospital for a rest and some me time

micromum · 29/08/2006 16:43

dreamy will you get to stay in long ?

BigHotMama · 29/08/2006 17:17

Hi everyone, I havent had chance to read and catch up as been rather busy being a mommy to my baby son Jackson Lee who was born by emergency c-section on 21st August weighing 8lb 11.5oz. After 2 prostin gels at my induction over 3 days I only managed to get to 7cm dilated so they put me on a drip where the contractions were coming so fast and furious without a break inbetween, I had epidural after few hours and was still only 7cm they then decided c-section was the best option as was on my 14th day of being overdue. Not exactly the water birth I'd planned but after all the waiting I was relieved he arrived safely and healthy.

I'm over the moon with my little man and being a mommy has fulfilled all my expectations. I hope to get a picture on here very soon. As the pc is at my moms house I wont get much chance to come on here over next few weeks, but will try my best.

Congratulations to all the new arrivals and good luck to all the rest of the moms who are still waiting...its definately worth the wait and the sleepness nights lol!

dreamydowler · 29/08/2006 18:36

Congratulations bighotmamma even though you had a long tough labour you sound totally besotted with your new son Im so pleased for you and look forward to hearing from you as often as you can get on here. Hi micromum I have to stay in for 48 hours because of the group B strep

micromum · 30/08/2006 08:07

Good Morning Everyone,

Well done bighotmama, wishing you all the very best.

Dreamy, finally our day is here, hope your feeling well, you never know we could be mums again by the end of today.

Going to get my children some school shoes today, i've been putting it off, but don't want to stay in today dwelling on every twinge.

ronniemummy · 30/08/2006 11:16

Well I am now 9 days over and getting increasingly anxious. I have had a show and get back ache-but other than that nothing- no signs of period pains or twinges or anything that makes me feel that this baby is going to come out by itself.

It now has today and tomorrow to get a wriggle on before I have to be induced- 8am Friday I am getting really scared about being induced! Have been going for a walk and even had a curry last night- and I absolutely have gone ff curries during pregnancy- this is how desperate I am! I hope something starts for those who are due today and congratulations to BHM!

dreamydowler · 30/08/2006 12:49

Hi girls Ive just got back from my antenatal appointment where my consultant said everything was fine and gave me an internal and a sweep apparently I am 2cm dilated I had a show and some contractions in the night so heres hoping things will get moving soon. They arent even considering inducing me. I have to go back on the 13th september to be monitered and discuss an induction then aaagghh

katylou25 · 30/08/2006 16:26

snic · 30/08/2006 19:20

hi all, baby Leah finally came into the world at 9.30pm on monday eve, weighing 8lb 6.5ounces. didnt get the water birth, actually didnt even get to hospital, dh and mum delivered her (with a bit of help from ambulance crew) on my sofa at home. first contraction came at 8.45 and within 45mins she was here. congrats to others who have also delivered in last few days.

melsy · 30/08/2006 19:25

Wow snic now that was quick, I assume it wasnt planned to be at home!!! That must have been the most amazing experience for you all , amazing for it to start so quickly and spontaneously! Welcome to the world Leah, u wanted out quick there !!!

bugpurple · 30/08/2006 19:32

Hey all!

sorry its taken so long to announce, i finally had my baby boy Thomas on thursday morning at 6.51 am he weighed 9ib 5oz! a big boy, he is gorgous! i was induced on the wed night at 6.00pm and told nothing would happen until the next night! i was 1cm dilated by 1am and 8cm by 3am! my husband managed to get back to the hospital in time to help with the hard bits! the labour was pretty intense to put it lightly! it moved too quickly to get a epidural so i was on gas and air and pethadine, which was crap. The sleepless nights are taking there toll on us both but i can honestly say it feels ace!! xxx

dreamydowler · 30/08/2006 21:55

hi all Wow congratulations to snic bug purple and katylou amazing stories well done. How many of us are there left? Ive had lots of crampy pains today and jelly discharge but seems to have all died down again now. Hoping to persuade dp for sex again later in the hope of getting it all moving again. Hi melsy and booby my eldest son has had the dreaded bug over last two days it has claimed all but one of us now and she is still hoping like hell to avoid it. My mum delivered my sisters baby on the bathroom floor 13 years ago weighing 9lb 5oz the ambulance crew didnt even get there in time. Take things easy snic as the shock kicks in. well I wonder who will be next?

dreamydowler · 31/08/2006 08:17

good morning to those of us who are left Im still here was desperately hoping to have not been though looks like its set to be a september baby after all have tried everything there is to try nothing is working hope everyone else is ok this morning and something is happening for at least one of you. My dp has been called out to two jobs today but have older girls with me. It is absolutely piddling down here today a really gloomy day

micromum · 31/08/2006 09:12

Good Morning everyone,

Well done snic bug purple and katylou wishing you all the very best.

I'm still here, had a few twinges last night the same as you dreamy, thought it was going to kick off, but have woken up this morning and nothing.

The waiting seems to be taking its toll on everyone especially my dd's, they did everything yesterday that they shouldn't, it got so bad that they decided to both poo in a bucket and leave it at the bottom of the garden, i never seen so many flys. I'm not to sure what they were trying to do, or where they got the idea from.

Please god let this baby come today !

dreamydowler · 31/08/2006 09:59

I know you must have felt like screaming but its just normal little monkeys. When have you next got to see midwife ? I dont see anyone now until 13th sept

ronniemummy · 31/08/2006 12:14

Well, hopefully something might happen today. Since the early hours of this morning I have had 4-5 incidents of trickling when I get up- so I feel confident that my waters have broken. I have smelt it( gross I know) to make sure I wasn't just wetting myself. I now have period pains at the bottom of my bump which are quite uncomfortable at the mo.

So fingers crossed- I might be saved from induction tomorrow!

dreamydowler · 31/08/2006 13:45

ooohhh I hope so ronniemummy for your sake. Its very quiet on here today so would be good to have some action good luck xx

SnowBoo · 31/08/2006 14:48

Good luck for those of you waiting to pop!

Sending vibes your way..
