hi all

many congrats to those of you who have had babies!! I htink mine is hanging on til Sept 1st & that I will have the c-section, as have had 2 sweeps and nothing happening, even the contractions I was having have now almost gone completely ... ! back to clinic tomorrow for last chance saloon for my cervix to show that it might be ready ... hohum

anyway best of luck to everyone & hope your weekend gets better dreamy!

morning micromum Im just going to do lots of bending and crouching to get my washing and drying done today so hope that will encourage things. Cant get out as piddling down here. Would normally be going to the beatles festival in liverpool with my mum and dad today still washing here I come

I had my sweep yesterday and this morning I seem to be having a show- loads of the stuff- yuk!!! It is tinged with brown blood- which my sister says is old blood and therefore only when you have pink in it do you know things are on its way- is this true?

At least this is a sign that something might happen- have got niggly aches like you get a few days before you're due on...ummm, hubbie and I are today could be the day or not- officially 1 week over today.Am going to go for a leisurely walk in a bit to see if that does anything! Will it be a Aug baby or is it going to wait until Friday when I have induction booked????

How is everyone else doing? could be a mad rush this week. Good luck with everyone who is still waiting!!!

hi ronniemummy hope this is it for you would be great if you could avoid the induction. You do tend to get a show after a sweep but this sounds a bit more promising and the walk will help too let us know how you are progressing

Hi all glad to hear things are starting for you Padme. Had a huge flase alarm last night contractions down toevery 5 mins at 3 in the mnorning so rang hosp they said they needed to see me so had to get poor mum and dad out of bed they come charging down the M4 to look after Harry go to hosp in agony am put on monitor for an hour as contractions gradually get further and further aPart! Then examined me and still only 2.5 cm which I was last tues when had sweep so 5 nights of pain has done exactly NOTHING! Am having pains again now every10 mins seem to be more painful than when I was in proper labour with DS so why arn't they doing anything???

Nothing from Olivio I notice must be it for her! Am sure I'm going to be the last one to go now will be here talking to myself soon - not booked for induction till 4th Sept and really want to go before then but getting less and less hopeful of it!

katylou25: Poor you. This stop start business sounds really annoyinng and frustrating.

I had a small "start" on Friday but nothing since. People always go on about how great womens' bodiesw are at labouring but it nearly always seems to be a great big pain in the bum for most people.

Literally and figurativelly!

I have my pool ready have been exercising, resting, curyy, sex etc.

So obviously will be induced or have a c section in a couple weeks time.....

hi girls doesnt look like Im going anywhere just yet either. thought if anything wouldve started me off it would have been the sickness and diarrheah I had over weekend. Due date on wednesday but could leave me another two weeks yet not very hopeful that im going to be before the months out either so will still be a few of us left to chat to each other

Dreamydowler- keeping fingers crossed for you. I hope something happens. It's just so frustrating isn't it waiting and hoping. I mean I am getting excited just about having a show!!!!

Only had a gentle walk today as it gives me back ache, but it did make my bump go hard.

Have just been dozing on and off all day inbetween contractions. DH has been fab and taken ds to play place this morning and park this afternoon so i have been left in peace! Am just getting really sick of it now - wouldn't mind if it was doing its job its the pointlessness of it thats so frustrating!

Yeah I thought d&v would have started you off dreamy - know a few women who have started that way anyway.

Still no word from Olivio????

me too. Lets hope Olivo has had her baby and we will here from her soon. Going to try some naughty stuff this evening as havent been up to it before now see if that works I just want my body back now

glad your feeling better dreamy, sounds like youve had a right weekend. im getting really fed up now, been 48 hours since waters broke and still nothing, have got till 8am then i have to be induced, which means i cannot go to the birthing centre and have the water birth i wanted. to be honest i just want it out now.

wow so Olivo is imminent - anyone else? Hope you are all doing well. Alex's colic is getting better (I dont want to jinx myself here!) Sal is being a darling helping out as always and I am happier today than I have been recently - getting some sleep and Alex's colic improving has cheered me up! Just wanted to say hi to you all and wish you luck again!

Hi eeny and Luna good to hear from you and glad alexs colic is improving. Thanks for your continued support and hope we are all over to the other side soon. Snic I really hope you go tonight so you can have the birth you want but wish you the best of luck for tomorrow whatever happens just think by this time tomorrow you will be holding your new baby

good morning all and a special good luck to you snic for today will be thinking of you. Hope it all goes well and you are able to let us know soon about your new babyxx How is everyone else this morning? Did the dirty deed last night and sat nipple tweaking for a good hour have had lots of niggling pains but nothing serious no show or anything. Got new washing machine yesterday and getting courtesy car this morning to replace the one that was written off over the weekend. All my washing is now done house spotless so just need baby now. Long walk shopping and more sex I think. Got hospital appointment tomorrow morning so hoping they will give me some good news by then ie you are already 4 cm dilated and we need to keep you in oh well they dont call me dreamy for nothing lol.

Dreamy (lol) you are one active lady, you did all your washing and then managed to have sex too, i take my hat of to you!

Going to birthing unit today, they will probably give me a sweep today, i think they give up to three sweeps over 12 days, so hopefully it will start something.

Dreamy how old is your youngest ? can't beleive this is your 7th, what is your secret ?

hi micromum My youngest is 3 1/2 I have quite a gap between as this is my second relationship. Its hard work having stroppy teens and babies in the house but Id be lost without them all and cant wait for this one to arrive. I have tried everything been shopping this morning too Very unusual for me to go overdue feel like im going to be carrying this child forever

HI all Hope today goes ok for you snic. Can't even face the thought of sex Dreamy but hope it works for you!

Have been up all night AGAIN and having contractions every 7-10 mins still had a show about midnight so hopefully they starting to do something now - have spoken to midwife and they don't want to see me unless I go down to 5 mins or my waters break am hopeful (as ever!) that one fo those willhappen today.

Dh has gone to work and am struggling to look after DS hes on a free rein today as I haven't got energy to do anything with him poor little mite mind he seems quite happy wrecking the place!

Just got back from seeing m/w, told me head wasn't engaged but was told last week it was and wouldn't do a sweep for me as said it wouldn't work if it is done to early. Has booked me an appointment for next week.

I feel really disheartened, sorry to have a moan.

Katylou good luck, did the cumin tea really work then ? Can you tell i'm getting desperate.

Well statistically a couple of us are bounds to give birth over the next few days. We can't all still be here next week.

Dreamy when do you find time to dream with all the cleaning and children? I am impressed.

I am off to buy some groceries and add to my overdraft.

Dreamy: managed to get 2 short and uninspiring bits of sex off dh last week. Know what you mean about living with someone who is always exhausted.
