brilliant sounds like these are the early labour pains then they are usually like you described and bearable upto about 3-4 cms when they got stronger more regular and they class you as in established labour you are doing all the right things keeping active and upright although a hot bath might help too keep me informed as there arent many of us left now I will leave this on for you if you need me my msn addy is [email protected] if you want to buzz me there too

YellowFeathers · 25/08/2006 16:18

Still having contractions on and off today - had fab sleep last night best i've had in weeks and woke up feeling full of joys this am! hAVE GOT LOADS DONE ROUND HOUSE ooops sorry for caps and finished nursery so maybe i'm nesting???? Anyway am sure it should be me next now luna's had hers!!!! pAINS ARE NOT REGULAR IN GROUPS OF 3 OR 4 THEN NOTHING FOR HALF HOUR OR SO BUT DEFINATELY GETTING STRONGER. aaaGGHHH caps again sorry! Surely this must be early labour how much longer can it go on for was 2.5 cm dilated on Tuesday! Never had anything like this with ds just went straight into labour at 8 am in morning and was fully dilated and pushing be midnight so this draggging on for days thing feels really funny.

Have had curry and pineapple ofr tea and going to try and talk dh into a bit off the other later! Really want this baby out - would be great if it was over weekend too as would make it lot easier for my muma nd dad to look after HArry!

Anyway fingers crosseed your ball bouncing has worked girls am off to see if I can pinch mine backk of DS for a bit.

katy x

dreamydowler · 25/08/2006 21:39

PinkTulips · 25/08/2006 22:58

poor dp was far too nervous and freaked out by caleb moving around in the bump to perform satisfactorily bless him he tried though, couldn't stop laughing at him though which i don't think helped!

ellanatal · 26/08/2006 07:44

we had a baby boy - christopher michael - on thurs at 5.16pm weighing only 8lbs 6oz (my ds1 was 10lb 13 so this one feels like a tiddler!)both of us are really well but struggling to b/f - might need some good advice to stop me giving up!

olivo · 26/08/2006 10:47

morning! I'm still here!
no pains overnight, they've started again but mostly its my back killing me. i also feel really sick. i think i might try the cumin tea tonight.wonder if it works with powdered cumin? cant face sex and dh is in a mood anyway!

fingers crossed for you katylou.

and Ella, CONGRATULATIONS!

trix1 · 26/08/2006 10:59

Olivio and Micro I really hope things start to happen for you both soon.

I had a lower back pain for a couple of days before I went into labour so maybe thats a sign Olivio. Keep moving around and if you can muster up the energy go for a walk. I was running the day before my labour as well as I got caught in a very heavy rain shower - that might have brought labour on too.

Good luck all - not long now.

PinkTulips · 26/08/2006 11:22

olivo, i used powdered because i had no seeds in the house so it does... hopefully todays the day for you though

dreamydowler · 26/08/2006 12:07

hi pink and trix lovely to hear from you both thanks for all your continued support hopefuly it wont take much longer to get us all over to the other side hope you are both well xx

PadmeP · 26/08/2006 12:24

Hi All, Hope I'm not too late to introduce myself. Only just discovered Mumsnet (had been using Babycentre but since they changed the layout I've had problems getting it to display). DH and I are expecting our first baby (boy) any minuite - we're hopefully haveing a home water birth. Midwives have given me 17th August as due date, but I worked it out as 23rd - either way, I'm definately over due now! Just wanted to get to know some other mum's who've just been through it/about to to get some support!
