Morning all!
Hope your ok BabiesEverywhere, good luck with things sweetie.

Has anyone heard from Melsy yesterday? Is she still about or have things kicked off for her?

Booby, it stupidly slipped my mind that you've had a section. Forgot the driving ban that comes with it!

If anyone wasn't sure, Lockets left MN a while back. Won't go into detail. Her hubby WheresMyFroggy still posts though, I think.

Well I had a show last night (thank the lord!), right there on some tissue so I could actually see it happening. Have been having tightnings through the night, some waking me up and now they are coming every 7/8ish minutes so I'm just hanging on a bit just to make sure as I'm not really phased by them atm and don't feel the need to use my Tens either.
MW didn't do the sweep yesterday. For some reason I decided against it in the end so if nothing does happen a MW will come to our house on Saturday morning and do one.

YellowFeathers · 17/08/2006 08:35

Babieseverywhere, yellow and aprilgirl wishing you all the best of luck today - cant wait to hear the announcements later. Good luck again.

aprilgirl1 · 17/08/2006 10:04

what a night, had the most terrible pains through the night didnt actually get to sleep until 5, got all i can explain as the worst period type cramp ever but the contractions have slowed right down last few were about 15 mins apart... has it been a false alarm do you think? or am i just in for a slow one? x

trix1 · 17/08/2006 10:22

oh Aprilgirl the exact thing happened to me on Tuesday afternoon/evening and then it all stopped! I have had nothing since not even a twinge. Hopefully it will start up for you again though, keep on the move see if that helps.

purpleturtle · 17/08/2006 10:23

Melsy has a baby - in birth announcements.

micromum · 17/08/2006 10:26

GOOD LUCK Yellow and April,
Aprilgirl try and keep active and see does that bring them on, i did that with my 2nd just kept walking round the block. goodluck

Not due for another 2 weeks yesterday but have had enough, keep going to bed thinking it might start tonight then wake up in the morning and still pregnant.

trix1 · 17/08/2006 10:31

Apart from the obvious bump im beginning to think its a phantom pregnancy, not even a twinge now. Im even sleeping great at night. somethings not right.

barnsleytykes · 17/08/2006 10:32

oh oh YellowFeathers watching for news,

trix1 · 17/08/2006 10:37

There has been a few mentions of hypnobirthing on this thread and melsys birth announcement - what exactly is it?

purpleturtle · 17/08/2006 11:10

MW has been this morning. Protein in my urine, apparently, and my BP is up to 104/70! They treat anything over 90, so I've a way to go yet. She didn't seem too concerned, just said she'd see me twice next week. So she's coming on Monday to do a sweep when I'll be 41+1.

Keep hoping something's happening. Had diarrhoea yesterday (sorry for tmi) but that's it. And I feel pretty uncomfortable today, but that's nothing new either! Oh well. Maybe next week.

Dd has just been invited out to the cinema with a schoolfriend, which I am thrilled about, because she's hardly seen any other children all holidays. I just have not felt up to organising playdates in this state. Unfortunately, Ds is distraught that he's not going to see Over the Hedge as well.

bugpurple · 17/08/2006 11:19

Aprilgirl and babieseverywhere!!! how exciting, hope you got through the night ok aprilgirl, i really felt for you when i read your thread, my hubby works shifts and i get real twitchy when hes not here, keep us posted!!

well i am now three days overdue, got the clinic today, feel sick and been up every hour last night weeing! got the cramps today and the cr*ps! lets see what happens!!

oooh how exciting

burstingbug · 17/08/2006 11:32

M/w has just been, she did another sweep, my cervix is better than it was on Monday but still quite hard, baby's head isn't moving out of my pelvis now as much either.
I am booked in for induction on Sunday morning 8am!! (10 days overdue) So in theory I should have my new baby by Monday

olivo · 17/08/2006 13:00

oooh how exciting - lots going on! good luck everyone!!

39 weeks today but nothing much going on - sporadic but very uncomfortable pains but all ok other than that. been for acupuncture for my itchiness thid morning - will definitely give it a try for labour if nothing happening next week. went for another walk last night and thid morning - long one planned for tonight!!

must check out melsy's announcement..

BigHotMama · 17/08/2006 14:13

Hi everyone, well I'm still waiting and am now 10 days overdue and feeling pretty p*ssed off! MW did a sweep on Monday but nothing happened although she did say I was 1cm dilated if thats anything to get excited about! Have booked me in for induction on Saturday morning at 8.30am, not looking forward to being induced as always imagined going into labour naturally but now I just want to have my baby here and if this is what it takes so be it!

Good luck to all who are experiencing contractions - I'm still waiting for one to come bite me!

Going to read Melsy's news now speak later x

YellowFeathers · 17/08/2006 16:07

Hi everyone
Just a quickie.
Am still here, still having contractions but they have a weird mind of their own going from 4 mins right up to 25!
Rang hospital who said I'd be welcome to go in but better to stay mobile at home.

Fingers crossed for everyone else!

sarahlou1uk · 17/08/2006 16:26

Hi everyone. No contractions or signs for me as yet . However, have been having more of those strange painful cramps under the bump which Luna had. Also got very painful area under left side of bump which feels like something is being twisted inside - it makes me double up in pain! How's everyone else doing?

dreamydowler · 17/08/2006 20:24

Hi all had a manic day today daughter got a level results today which meant phoning round universities and will be doing the same again tomorrow to get her a place on a course. had a lovely meal out this afternoon and have got step daughter stopping over too. Feeling really tired now but pains and heartburn not been too bad today

olivo · 17/08/2006 21:42

dreamy - you always sound so busy! I've been sitting around on my ball all afternoon but have had a good walk on the beach this evenignas well as a paddle in the sea. still getting sporadic pains but tiredness playing a part i think.

hi sarahlou and BHM.

good luck YF!

going to have an early night i think - talk to you tomorrow! x

dreamydowler · 18/08/2006 07:49

good morning girlies how is everyone
this morning? well my now grown up daughter didnt come home too late or too drunk last night and a good time was had by all. Today the ringing round universities trying to get her a place on a course begins so keep your fingers crossed I tell you ladies it the mummy job gets harder the older they get so enjoy them when they are little.

trix1 · 18/08/2006 07:56

Good morning, your up bright and early and on the go again dreamy. Yes ive heard it does not get easier as they get older you just worry about different things.

Well, this morning ive sort of wet my self twice just had a leak, nothing massive but definetly a leakage of some sort that I was unable to control. I wonder could this be the start of the waters breaking it is just a trickle.

melsy · 18/08/2006 09:31
