Pains coming much stronger now, im trying to keep on the move to help things along.

lunavix · 15/08/2006 19:03

Hi everyone!

Nothing interesting here. I drank 8 cups of raspberry leaf tea and apart from spendign the day on the toilet it did didly squit.

Today been on the toilet again, but nothing remotely interesting other than poo I'm afraid! lol the things we talk about.

Have decided to offer dh sex! Have been previously very fecked off with him - he's been requesting sex/other stuff at all times with me shouting that he's selfish in return (it hurts!) but after a dreadful day working have decided baby really needs to come out.

bugpurple · 15/08/2006 20:32

No movement for me here either i am afraid, now a day overdue - think i am going to pregnant for ever! and if anyone else asks how i am feeling and if i am scared i may have to kill them!! sex seems to be a bit painful at the mo so not over keen!!

thinking of you all

xx

dreamydowler · 15/08/2006 20:35

Trix hows it going hun are you still with us? Luna hope your wild night of passion is worth it and doesnt just leave you feeling sore

trix1 · 15/08/2006 20:47

Really peed off, the pains keep stopping and starting. I had a bath and they seemed to have eased off. Then they started again but seem to have stopped again. Im going to cry

trix1 · 15/08/2006 21:01

Where are Freddy and Bighotmama, I have a feeling they will both be making announcements soon. Hope you are both well.

dreamydowler · 15/08/2006 22:10

aaww trix I know it must be so disheartening sometimes having a bath can do that either speed things up or slow things down
I feel like baby trying to push her way out without contractions lots of tightenings and feels like she is trying to move down agony turning over in bed now too

dreamydowler · 16/08/2006 08:19

dreamydowler · 16/08/2006 09:20

trix1 · 16/08/2006 09:44

Dreamy you are always doing something, i bet there is never a quiet day in your life - which is nice. Is this your eldest child who is 18 tomorrow?

Its very quiet on here these days isnt it?

dreamydowler · 16/08/2006 09:59

yes its my eldest seems strange my first all grown up. I know what you mean hardly anyone on these days hopefuly thats a good sign melsy not even on this morning

olivo · 16/08/2006 10:02

dreamy - can i have some of your energy please?

had a very strange night - went for a nice walk on the beach with dh, then loads of pains and loads of itching last night. this morning, feel fine apart from the interminable scratching - am going to file my nails really short to stop myself doing so much damage! went for accupuncture yesterday, more tomorrow, hopefully it might work.
ate a whole pineapple yesterday too but can see that novelty wearing off!!

trix - sorry to hear your pains are coming and going - fingers crossed for something happening today!

no news from anyone?

snic · 16/08/2006 10:17

morning all. been to see mw this morning, head engaged and she said it sounds like the small bleed i had at weekend was definately a show, so fingers crossed. told me to have plenty of sex and pineapple. also said i shouldnt be taking the raspberry leaf tablets as they dont start off labour, just make it quicker and as labour with dd1 was only 90 mins i may not get to the hospital this time.

dreamydowler · 16/08/2006 10:43

omg snic my sister was like that with her first and my mum ended up delivering her second on the bathroom floor she had a planned home birth with her third but midwife only just made it in time . Morning Olivio yours seems to be stopping and starting a bit too lots we havent heard from this morning though melsy yellow bursting bug big hot mamma hope they are all ok

burstingbug · 16/08/2006 10:44

Morning. I'm still here, 6 days overdue. Still no sign at all of baby making an appearence any time soon. M/w coming tomorrow for 2nd sweep, lets hope that'll start something off! DH is starting to panic that baby won't be here by Monday and he'll have to go back to work. He also has a really important meeting to attend next Wednesday which he has to go out of town for. He doesn't want to miss the meeting or the birth so lets hope it comes by the weekend.
Been quiet lately on the baby front, where are they all? Lets hope a few more start arriving really soon!

dreamydowler · 16/08/2006 11:03

hope midwife can give you a really vigorous sweep tomorrow then you will have to get dh to finish the job hope that works for you as it will be stressful for you to have to phone him home again next week has anyone heard from yellow or melsy?

burstingbug · 16/08/2006 11:11

It felt quite vigorous on Monday when she did the first one. Especially since she kept poking its head in and out of my pelvis and asking my if I could feel baby moving in and out!
Baby has got quite pokey the past few days, keep feeling his limbs sticking out of my sides.
Not heard or seen many people on messenger for a while either Dreamy.

burstingbug · 16/08/2006 11:14

Dh has been stressing too much about a lot of things lately so he's not been in the right frame of mind for lurvin, although I do keep mentioning it'll help get things going.

olivo · 16/08/2006 11:17

ouch - bursting - poking the baby's head? !?!

has anyone thought about or tried accupuncture for being overdue? apparently at our hospital they will refer you after your due date and its their own peerson so its free - will definitely try that!I'm quite lucky as i have my next hosp appt at 40 wks not 41 so can hopefully ask straight away.

hopefully the fact we havent heard from the others is good news....

purpleturtle · 16/08/2006 11:20

I'm still here. Going out for lunch with a friend today, so that should be nice. Dh has taken the children to an art gallery to do some craft thing that's on. Hope they have fun.

MW was supposed to come today, but called from labour ward last night to rearrange for tomorrow instead, assuming she doesn't get called out tonight as well. Presumably we'll fix a date for induction, and then I'll know that this baby will arrive the day before. (Based on previous experience). I swear the threat of it frightens them out.

trix1 · 16/08/2006 11:21

When I had my sweep yesterday the m/w said she could feel babies head - uurrghhh

I think I may have had a show just - but Im not sure what its supposed to look like.

burstingbug · 16/08/2006 11:27

Just taken this off a website about shows
I've been getting clear and lemony discharge for the past week, but I don't think its a show. I may check with m/w in the morning though

burstingbug · 16/08/2006 11:32

Taken from another website - When you lose your mucus plug, it may be a little or a lot of gel like material. It will may be in a glob, stringy or just wetness. The mucus plug is clear to yellow-brownish in color, but may also be pinkish.

BabiesEverywhere · 16/08/2006 11:40

I went to the accupuncture clinic for a session yesterday at 40 weeks and 3 days. She claims that every woman that she has dealt with has gone into labour within 24 hours.

It hasn't start my labour yet...still keeping my fingers crossed though for the next three hours until the 24 limit is up.
