New thread for the chattiest bunch of mummies to be I've ever known!!

Hello all, I feel so sick and tired today, still no ms but I've come close to it several times and had to breathe it out!

Chasing up my booking in appointment tomorrow yay!

Amazon and eBay are fab for everything. Dh is an amazon prime member too so free delivery and returns, always a bonus.

Can't wait for Thursday morning as I have my 12 week scan. Not "can't wait" in an excited manner at all though because I'm pretty sure it's not going to be a happy result. My gut feeling rarely lets me down and sadly I don't think this will be any different

Sorry to be maudlin when theres so much happy news, I just have nowhere else to go, having not told anyone.

Oh broody I have everything crossed it will be ok. I am looking forward but also dreading my scan, as I am so desperate this time my baby will be healthy!

Is it possible for sickness to set in at 12 weeks?!!! I was sick Sunday afternoon, last night and tonight my tongue is doing it's tell tale little squirm in my mouth that a snuggle with my porcelain friend is imminent weird huh?

I've not got my booking appointment yet, I'm 9+2, should I chase it yet or am I being over eager???? Would like as much notice of scan as poss so hubs can book time off work, so hoping to get scan date at booking appt - is that how it's worked out for most of you? (Sorry for 20 questions, it's my first can you tell!)

Still being horribly sick morning and evening and feeling nauseous all day, really hoping it starts to calm down soon, having to go up to London on the train this week, standing on the train for an hour at 7.30 isn't fun when you want to puke ??

Sorry to hear your feeling like that broody I've been feeling exactly the same too, my scan is on thursday as well, think I wrote Wednesday on here before by accident! I'm just so worried that it's not gonna be good news either, but we must think positive! Good luck for yours :)
Glad everyone who's had scans recently have gone well, can't believe were at the scan stage already!
I'm another one here who can't get enough of cheese! I'm eating it all the time at the mo! I'm adamant were having another boy too, my mum had a reading recently and she was told that it was going to be a boy, don't always believe these things, but she did have another reading about a year ago, and she was told that there would be another baby in our family in Sept!

Missog - I would personally chase it - I did not get scan date at booking appointment, midwife referred me to hospital and I got an app through the post. I'm sure it's on it's way, but I was in same boat as you with hubby needing to book time off work for scan so I pestered in the end. I'm 12+2 and got my scan tomorrow eek!!

I feel weirdly 'normal' today. It's really unnerving

Apart from being very very nearly sick on Monday while brushing my teeth (the mint makes me wretch if it gets too foamy lol) the nausea seems to have gone. Is this what the second trimester is that my pregnancy book promised? Hope so!

Broody, im so sorry you're feeling so worried about your scan. I promise you I felt the same way. I spent a lot of time crying this past weekend as I was convinced it was the last weekend that I was able to float in ignorant bliss. All my symptoms had gone and I just didn't (still don't) feel pregnant. Im embarrassed to admit that in the middle of a hormonal fight with my DH with me saying that I was not pregnant anymore, I even binned all my pregnancy stuff, journals, notes etc. (my DH rescued them straight away thankfully). I think it's a way of protecting ourselves by imagining the worst. I know nothing anyone says is gonna make you feel better until you see that everything is okay with your own eyes but just wanted to let you know that how you're feeling sounds completely normal (well to me anyway). Thanks for updating the stats missing. My official EDD is now 7th September, although I have been on yhe list yeice (30th Sept at beginning and then 6th fot some reason. Obvioidly have been confusing people at some point )

broody I felt the same waoting for my 12 week scan, in a complete panic the morning before despite having seen a healthy LO at 8 1/2 weeks. Hoping you get some relief from this worry at yoir scan and jemma said, all these feelings are completely normal. Take care Xx

12 week scan at 11.10 today and am so nervous that there's going to be no heartbeat or something wrong... I wish I could look forward to it.

Good luck today Bex and Twizzles! I think scan doom is very normal - I'm pretty sure that everyone on this thread who's had a scan felt this way. Remember - fill that bladder up! You can always empty it if need be!

I got some really nice maternity stuff from ASOS.com the other week, it's very reasonably priced so definitely check that site out.

Lucidlady, scan doom is the perfect term! I've been in mat clothes for two weeks due to my bloat...

Ps it'll be tonight before I post an update as I'm taking the day as annual leave and intend stuffing my face at tgi Fridays later :-)

Ladies could do with some advice.
lost some dark pinky discharge yesterday after having to wait to go to the loo for a while. Tummy ached loads and back (got me thinking start of uti?) Nothing since. Dtd last night too and nothing after. Now I've just been and lost some pinky discharge?

Dont want to go epu unless I have to as I have both kidswwith me and no one will be able to come with me amd dh is at work.
Have driving lesson today too. If it happens again will have to cancel.

Good luck scanees today, just 2 more sleeps for me. I also have scan doom, and did in the last 2 pregnancies too, feel this one is worse as doubt DH would agree to 'try' again as this baby is a surprise (extra blessing!), so I feel even more anxious, that said my belly is def expanding so I guess my uterus is too- so I'm hoping that means bean is growing- anyone know if that is true?
isitme how many weeks are you? I would maybe ring GP if it doesn't settle first esp as sounds like epu would be a right pain for you today, I guess it might be a little cervical erosion, but I don't really know. Fx no more and it becomes one of those little mysteries.

isitme1 i would second ringing the doctor, but on a panty liner and try to relax,
if you cant ring your doctor you could ring the EPU they may be able to give advice over the phone?
