Marking my spot. Had another scan today, the twins are both doing well. They were wriggling around and measured nine weeks (it would be 9+2 by my dates). I also had my booking appointment with the midwife, who was lovely, but it seems I will be seeing a lot more of consultants than her. Other than that, still feeling sick and tired, but I think the worst has passed.

Scan, NIPT and booking in all went well for me today. What a relief! This is the farthest along I've ever been.

Marking my place Ladies. EDD 5th Sept, have give up on trying to work out how far along I actually am as my dates are different I the MW and the 2 scans I had put me at 3 more different dates. I'm approx 10 weeks I reckon.

Have my actual Dating scan booked for the 25th Feb, looking forward to having a date I can stick too!

I told my boss today, wanted to wait until after the scan but had a problem with a school trip next week. Won't take the hours coach ride with this sickness! She was lovely, I had been so worried.

Oh carly that wasn't the news I was hoping to see, take care of yourself, and I hope you get positive news again soon.

My EDD is around the 13th I think so 8+5, I've got my booking appt and scan in the same week and not until 25/28th feb, had bloods done today, so now it's just 3 weeks to wait. I'm feeling super nervous as this baby wasn't planned and I doubt DH would agree to 'try' again even tho we both are really excited, so I'm kinda doubly worried things are going to go awry.

cookie I'm sick of my super-sensitive nose too.
Finally ditched the scented candle in the living room (a posh Rituals one at that) in the hope that I'll stop feeling so nauseous when I sit down to relax in the evenings.
My 2 year old also seems really whiffy to me at the mo which is sad as I kind of have to hold my breath for his multiple cuddles per day. He does have a bath every night so I'm fairly sure he doesn't actually pong

isitme and topmammy my midwife says my EDD is 30th Aug according to LMP but I know with a 35 day cycle I need to add a week (and probably another 2 weeks as it's my first)

Thanks for the new thread, just checking in. Saw the MW yesterday, I've got quite long cycles but she's still gonna go by my LMP for the moment until the scan so EDD had changed to 8th Sept until now. Making me 9 weeks +2 days.Hopefully can get my scan in for end of Feb though!

LH I am 1981 too :)
Yup MS is horrendous. Had 3 days like you where I had to cancel everything and stay in bed with windows open (freezing myself brrr!), everything seemed to smell and make me sick, I didn't fancy anything to eat and yet the less I ate the worse I felt :s I found lying in bed and really not moving my head really helped. Think it's because MS felt like car sickness and inner ear / balance centre calmed down when I was not moving. Hubby read that using headphones to listen to music with a strong beat background (Calving Harris etc type thing) can help stabilize your inner ear...

Welcome Cordelia oh yes that moment when morning sickness leaves you alone (for a bit) is truly exhilarating!!! Enjoy it!
Waybuloo haha to smelly son lol I thought that about poor hubby, even after he was freshly showered I made him sleep in spare room for 3 days poor thing!

I'm so sorry Carly, be kind to yourself and take it day by day. That's how I gradually got through my mc in Oct. Sending you lots of love.

I saw my little bean's heartbeat today, still looks like a bean or peanut at 7wks and 2 days but I'm so relieved. One hurdle at least and once you see a heartbeat I think mc risk is reduced. Not out of the woods yet but today made me smile!

Yay for good scans Lotty and Hubby! It is amazing. I'm still in a bit of shock. It all feels more real now. I've also had particularly fierce sickness all afternoon and evening to further cement that real feeling. That's green with sickness, not envy!
