Ooh missb. We're scan buddies! I have a private scan a week tomorrow cos I'm paranoid but my proper scan is the 12th march at 8.45. What time is yours?
Good luck for yours tomorrow waffles!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 20/02/2014 22:46

Mines at 1pm (I think lol) fairy xx
Not too long to wait I was chuffed when it came in the post today xx

Fairypants · 20/02/2014 22:59

Less than 3 weeks which is goodGrin
It's so nice to have it to look forward to and imagine we will be able to tell everyone after that. I'm struggling with the secrecy.

bugoven · 21/02/2014 04:48

I've just spotted a November 2014 thread! Blimey, we truly are established upduffers now Smile

Kittyrose1 · 21/02/2014 06:53

White blossom funny you say that as a few times I've had a feeling it's a boy!

Bex what a rotten time you've been having, Im so sorry to see that. It sounds like the in laws have some serious issues treating you that way, to lie like that as well is just not normal. I'm glad nice sil and yourself could get to the bottom of it. What does you partner make of it all? I definitely stay clear from people like that, they sound like manipulative bullies. Big hugs for you xxx

Bug that's kinda exciting isn't it! We are all hitting the 2nd trimester in the next few weeks, here's to lovely healthy sticky ones xx

broodylicious · 21/02/2014 06:59

Yay missb! Pleased for your scan date Smile it's like a weight off your mind isn't it, when that letter comes through? Let the countdown begin!

11 weeks today. Seems to have whizzed by. Six sleeps to scan!

Yep broody, feel like I've been stuck in limbo but now finally have a date to look forward to :) x OHs mum says the pregnancy is flying, I don't think it is though lol xx

BexBoo12 · 21/02/2014 08:29

Kkfairy I am going to stay well clear for a while, don't need that kind of stress at the moment. Thanks xx

Kitty I have no idea why anyone would lie about something like that - or cause stress to a pregnant woman like that?? I can't get my head around it. DH is raging about it because I've cried about it all almost every night since I found out the nice SIL 'can't have children' out of sadness for her and guilt that I'd been made to feel. He knows how upset and how stressed I have been but he's like me - if he goes and speaks to either of them now, he will get too angry and it'll just cause a fight so he's going to let the dust settle a little bit. Xx

Great news about the scans that seem to be happening almost everyday at the minute!! Excited to hear all about the scan dates coming up too - mine is Wednesday at 10:30 - 5 more sleeps yay!!!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 21/02/2014 08:47

Brew Solomon tired, youngest has had me up since daft o'clock. Aaand I've been greeted by another spot on my face :( anyone else breaking out in them like a teen? Lol xx

xxmissbrightsidexx · 21/02/2014 08:48

Lol meant *sooooo not Solomon lol x

BexBoo12 · 21/02/2014 09:02

Miss I am covered in spots if that makes you feel any better lol

topmammy · 21/02/2014 09:18

My complexion is not the best either at the mo until I slap on with a trowel some good old foundation. I am probably being vain but I can't leave the house without wearing make up!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 21/02/2014 09:21

Yes it does bex lol horrible ain't it, I haven't had spots in ages x top I'm the same, not a chance in hell that I'll go out without makeup on lol xx

TheOnlySeven · 21/02/2014 09:58

Hi all, I haven't checked in for ages. I had my scan on Wednesday, I'm now due on the 17th, only 10 weeks not 12 like I thought. No idea how my dates were that far out though!

I'm feeling awful today, full of cold with a sinus headache and sore throat. Can't even take anything except paracetamol :(

Newlywed2013 · 21/02/2014 11:07

Hi ladies, sorry I dropped off the radar again, got admitted to hospital on Tuesday with severe hydration weigh loss and sickness, and only got out last night! Had lost nearly a fifth of my body weight and I am severely underweight now at 40kg and a bmi if 15.something! Now having to see my dr every few days for them to keep an eye on me!
On a plus I got my scan letter through yesterday and it's Tuesday morning at 8:30am :-) so excited and hoping that 12weeks means the hg starts to die down so I can enjoy the pregnancy!
This being pregnant is hard work!!
Will try catch up soon with how everyone is doing!

whiteblossom · 21/02/2014 11:16

All these scans its so exciting!!

Ive had to book in with GP today as the constipation is beyond a joke and to make matters worse I discovered blood last night when I wiped. This is def' from the back so not worried about baby so Im hoping its simple to resolve and nothing to worry about. Blush

Is anyone else suffering this? Well at least I have an apt before the w/end.

whiteblossom · 21/02/2014 11:23

oh newlywed you really have been put through it!! You poor thing, I really hope you start to improve soon and start eating/drinking. I cant imagine how thin you must be, that's such a lot of weight to lose. I bet your dh is worried sick. It sounds like you are being well monitored which is fab. xxxx

TwosaCrowd · 21/02/2014 12:08

fairy and missb my scan is the 12th too, although I'll be nearly 14 weeks!

Newlywed2013 · 21/02/2014 12:08

My drs have been great, I have always been small but only one pair of trousers fits now and putting weight on has always been hard for me.
I put 1kg back on in hosp just from being rehydrated!
My hubby has been amazing, Monday before I went into hospital I was in a state asking him what he would think of me if I ended the pregnancy, he has been my rock and I prob would have ended it well before now if it wasn't for him!

whiteblossom · 21/02/2014 12:33

On a lighter note my mum caught me off guard and asked me to go over and help chose where to put up some pictures she has. urgh. I went and she actually expected me to lift/move/put up huge mirrors, pictures up huge ladders while balancing on a chest of drawers.

Needles to say I made my excuses but helped measure up etc. She kept saying 'but you were always so strong' and I replied 'yup I was but Ive got a bad back now'

Turns out she went and told my nana I was "useless" didn't help at all. I thought that was really funny. I was sat on the end of her bed advising 'up, no down a bit etc' while eating foam bananas lol. As per usual my mum expects me to do everything for her.

I suspect she will look back on that and think how did I not realise!!

Mummyinpink1289 · 21/02/2014 12:34

Bex thats awful only just catching up on everything since my post yesterday. Have you told your DH how theyr making you feel as it seems to be all his side doesnt it? - he should have words with them and say you dont need this right now. first trimester is a big enough hormonal rollercoaster alone without them messing your head around like they have. if it was me i would make my DH go and sit down with them and find out what the problem is. Hopefully it isnt bringing you down too much - what about your own family have you told any of them yet?

LH1981 · 21/02/2014 13:51

Hiya, just checking in again. Been away with the kids for half term and just got back. Knackered beyond belief but they had a fab time.

Bex, can't believe that! I would avoid avoid avoid if I were you.

Definitely feeling a bit better on the ms front - newly I feel so sorry for you, it sounds truly dreadful!!

Wrt oldest vs youngest in the year, I'm not too worried as my youngest son is June and 3rd youngest in his year and hasn't had any problems. I was 3 weeks early with him, so this time around I could theoretically end up delivering in August anyway.

So nice to be able to eat again, even if I do still feel nauseas on and off, it's such an improvement!

Welcome to the newbies and good luck to those with upcoming scans! xx

rockin20s · 21/02/2014 13:52

Hey all sorry for not checking in work has been really busy the last two days.

exhaustion has truly kicked in. think i woke up to pee about 5 times last night. thanks god its nearly the weekend.

Bex i cant believe they treated you like this. i think you should try to learn from it all. only share the most basic of information with them. the less they know the less they can twist around!

white poor you, im sure your mom will apologize once you tell her, some people just dont see outside the few meters around them and realize that other people may have lives (and secrets) too.

how are all of your DH taking the pregnancy? mine has been fantastic but he has told NO ONE yet! i told him he could tell a friend or two if he wanted but he hasn't. when i ask why he said he doesn't want all the questions.

TheOnlySeven · 21/02/2014 13:54

newlywed sounds like you've really been suffering. Glad you're getting good support, both from your GP and DH.

blossom some people are completely oblivious, I hope she feels guilty about the useless comment once you've told her!

Is anyone showing already? This is DC4 so I expect to show early but I have a very noticeable pregnancy bump already, I was nowhere near this big already with DC3.

TheOnlySeven · 21/02/2014 13:58

rockin is there any reason why he'd get loads of questions? DH told his bosses this morning. They both laughed (our DDs are only just 2 and 9.5 months) but they're pleased for us. All of our families know but it's not public knowledge yet.
