How fast do we get through these threads?

Morning! I'm so tired today...crappy lack of sleep :-/

Felt sick and had sicky burps this morning, lovely! But reassuring, ha ha.

Good luck with your trip, Flymo. I hope you avoid the bad weather.

flymo79 · 14/02/2014 10:52

thanks hungry, I will miss having that pre-flight G&T!!

travispickles · 14/02/2014 10:52

Just left work as feel so ill, tired and headachy. Have had a bad stomach as well, burst into tears on the boss who sent me home. Any of you other teachers feeling sick and exhausted?

flymo79 · 14/02/2014 10:55

sorry you're feeling sick again hungry.... suck a peppermint? xxx

Cazbg · 14/02/2014 11:06

I am off work today with a uti. Hoping the antibiotics kick in soon.... Not feeling so romantic for valentines day.

flymo79 · 14/02/2014 11:13

oh no caz!! sorry to hear, hope you get well really soon. wretched things. xxx

HungryHorace · 14/02/2014 11:26

Sorry you're both unwell, Travis and Caz. It's miserable feeling so rubbish, isn't it?

Think I'm going to have to eat something to stop my nausea. Urgh. Trying not to eat too much. It's not working!

LakeOfDreams · 14/02/2014 11:50

Just did such a stupid thing. Saw a cream cake sitting in the fridge thought I'd have a little treat for my husband to tell me they are 2 days out of date. Got slight diarrhoea pains already what am idiot

HungryHorace · 14/02/2014 12:06

I'd eat that without a concern.

Are you sure the pains are related? Do you have a sensitive stomach generally?

I hope you feel better soon, anyway.

Secretlypregnant · 14/02/2014 12:19

I agree with Hungry - try not to worry. Best before dates are usually more about quality than safety.

HungryHorace · 14/02/2014 13:02

I was always really careful about best before / use before dates until I was buying the food. Now almost anything goes! I'm very rarely ill either, not even with a cold.

Shakshuka · 14/02/2014 14:15

I wouldn't worry about a couple of days either, especially if it tasted fine.

Although I'm more impressed by the fact that you live in a house where that can even happen. A cream cake in our house wouldn't last long enough to get to its best before date :)

flymo79 · 14/02/2014 14:29

ha! agree with Shak - cream cakes barely make it to the "make a cup of tea and sit down to eat" stage! normally scoffes straight out of the supermarket shopping bag....!
just ate fish and chips for my lunch and feel both sick and snoozy now. bad friday afternoon combo!

LakeOfDreams · 14/02/2014 14:39

Think it was psychological pains as I'm fine now. My DH barely eats he's probably only 8stone there is always chocolates or cakes that he's decided after buying that he doesn't fancy. Nightmare when you are overweight already!!

flymo79 · 14/02/2014 14:44

aw, lake, I am having the same. Our lovely male colleague bought us a box of chocs and I am romping my way through it, I think I'm giving my bean gestational diabetes.....

Shakshuka · 14/02/2014 14:46

I mentioned to my boss yesterday's fiasco with the girls blabbing about my pregnancy (seriously, they're telling everyone they meet!). And she told me a few people have asked her because I'm showing Blush.

I just thought i look i had a few too many pies because I tend to put weight on around my tum anyway! But I guess I shouldn't be surprised I'm showing since someone asked me if i'm pregnant at 10 weeks with dd2 so I really had no chance of hiding it with number 3.

So I've emailed the senior managers to let them know now as better it comes from me. I agonised for about an hour over the email but now it's done. Phew! My only concern is that my contract is up for renewal (I know it's illegal that it should matter but it's always a worry that it may).

crazylady2013 · 14/02/2014 15:56

After some thought I have finally filled in the list.

Missing most - Roller Derby, I miss my roller skates.
Best side effect - Reason to be lazy... loving afternoon naps on weekends.
Struggled most with - Blocked and stuffy nose. Was MS but this thankfully didn't last too long.
Best / strangest reaction to announcement to news - My supervisor not being too cross, even though I'm the second Phd student in his group to fall pregnant within a year.
Most looking forward to - Meeting the little one.
Most worried about (aside from medical worries) - That I won't know what to do with a baby (I have no experiance at all and no family close by for suport).
Tummy status - 1 - proper little bump, 2 - no bump, 3 - fat and bloated pretend bump - hoping a combination of 2 and 3 (but it could just be 3)
Most tears over - No reason, just started crying and couldn't stop.
Shopaholic status - Not started yet but have been looking. There is so much to choose from Confused

Could someone please add me to the stats list please because for some reason am unable to

Secretlypregnant · 14/02/2014 17:11

Wow, 3rdtymmummy2b, your due date moved quite a lot didn't it! How did the scan go?

weeza13 · 14/02/2014 17:50

I also work in a school, have a third of my class off and staff with V&D . Am really hoping I don't catch it. Have already had to suffer flu at ten weeks, do not want this bug at 16wks. Thank god for half term.

Plentyoffish · 14/02/2014 17:57

Hi everyone August newbie here.

Had my dating scan today baby measuring 15+1.

Due on 07th August

Very relieved as have been experiencing bleeds on and off for 2 weeks.

Abimci · 14/02/2014 18:22

Happy half term to all the teachers! So looking forward to 3 whole days without thinking about work (then have to spend a few days catching up on planning and marking!)

Any Valentines plans? Think I'm going to send my DH out to get burgers from GBK and treat myself to a (very small) glass of wine to celebrate half term and 12 week scan. Oh the excitement! The wind sounds horrendous, there is no way I'm venturing outside!

3rdtymmummy2b · 14/02/2014 19:28

It went perfect secretly, i was exactly 14 weeks at the scan nearly 2 weeks ahead of what the gp thought Smile x

lucyfluff · 14/02/2014 19:34

Hey ladies and welcome plentyoffish (that site is so odd!!!) lol Smile

Had a mega hectic day, had to finally go to hospital for my bloods and spent over an hour in there while they sorted out the mess my MW made of my notes and made sure Im booked in etc. Anyway all done now! The weather here is awful loads of flooding locally and windy...we are not near any rivers thankgod but a few roads have been shut off.

Nice lazy valentines nighy here with a chinese, DH was very sweet and got me a lovely album to put our wedding pics in (its a big job!!!). Smile

Just wondered if anyone had heard from babyspice??
