Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
sillymeagain · 08/02/2014 19:31

Haha...lucy...I googled it earlier and am still none the wiser and despite having 11 scan pictures at 13 weeks all I can see is tummy and legs and nothing resembling a nub!

Sleepy. ..really pleased you had good news!

mszeen · 08/02/2014 19:31

Missing most - not having to think before I eat
Best side effect - Boobs
Struggled most with - aching legs already have really bad varicose veins
Best / strangest reaction to announcement to news - same every time "gosh you don't hang around he's only been in the country since October 25!" My DH has only had a UK visa for 16 weeks and we are 13+1 ??
Most looking forward to - seeing what our baby looks like
Most worried about (aside from medical worries) - how we can afford everything and how to cope working long shifts and figuring out childcare
Tummy status - 1 - proper little bump, 2 - no bump, 3 - fat and bloated pretend bump - 3
Most tears over - 12 years a slave, literally a massive ball of snot and tears
Shopaholic status - absolutely nothing hoping to get a car tomorrow not directly related to the baby but it'll help, been looking at maternity clothes but still have room in mine

Owlysims · 08/02/2014 21:48

Missing most - a back without backache and a head without headache!!
Best side effect - hair looking nice!
Struggled most with - the wait for the 12 week scan!
Best / strangest reaction to announcement to news - I knew at so and so's christening...that was the day before I found out!! Strange!!
Most looking forward to - giving my dd a sibling!
Most worried about (aside from medical worries) - juggling new born and dd!
Tummy status - 1 - proper little bump, 2 - no bump, 3 - fat and bloated pretend bump - 3
Most tears over - second lot of brown discharge. Was fed up!!
Shopaholic status - didn't want to buy anything until after 12 week scan but caved and bought a pair of maternity leggings and couple of tops of accommodate changing shape yesterday!! Only 2 sleeps to go anyway!

Dd's birthday weekend is going well dd and dh asleep already so watching a film and trying to catch up with you guys! Great news on the scans and ms sleepy so glad it was good news! Relax now!! Smile

2beornot · 08/02/2014 22:14

Someone asked about maternity occasion wear - I did In fact go to Tiffany Rose. Dresses are normally £100+ which is way above my budget but they have a sale on at the moment so I paid under £60. They are on eBay too, though not many in my size!!!

Thatsnotmyfigure · 08/02/2014 23:09

Great news ms sleepy head!
Somehow found myself in John Lewis today looking at double buggies! I really don't want one as I love my current one but its inevitable. I will have to look up the Oyster Max. Friends rave about their Phil n Teds but doesn't do it for me. Favouring the Baby Jogger City Mini so far. Anyone else looking for a double?

HungryHorace · 09/02/2014 06:03

Have you got a Kiddicare near you, Thatsnot? They have a really good range in store that you can try out.

I'm not a P&T fan either, it has to be said.

None of the doubles were perfect, but the Oyster Max ticked the most boxes for us, including can we get it in the house?!

mssleepyhead · 09/02/2014 08:23

Missing most - burgers, without a doubt
Best side effect - so far I don't think I have one. Maybe time off work for appointments??
Struggled most with - the worrying that everything is ok
Best / strangest reaction to announcement to news - my family bursting into tears when I gave them a positive test on Christmas Day
Most looking forward to - seeing my baby
Most worried about (aside from medical worries) - juggling new born and dd!
Tummy status - 1 - proper little bump, 2 - no bump, 3 - fat and bloated pretend bump - 3
Most tears over - about 8 weeks when I had a bit of a self pity break down over how awful I felt
Shopaholic status - after our scan yesterday we bought a baby grow. Cried in John Lewis too...!

mssleepyhead · 09/02/2014 08:25

Oh! Forgot to change one...
Most worried about (aside from medical worries) - childcare and returning to work and if work will let me go part time

travispickles · 09/02/2014 08:53

Fed up! I think it might be tiredness but my ms seems to be worse and I am 15 weeks on Wednesday. Was up at 3am, starving so had a piece of toast. Then brought it back up again. I even threw up I. Aldi car park yesterday which was highly shameful! I definitely felt better by this point last time, and am worried that either there is something wrong with the placenta or I am going to be one of the unlucky ones that carries on throughout. Sorry for rant but really can't cope!

lucyfluff · 09/02/2014 09:49

Morning!! Ahhh ok I had a look at nub theory....it all seems quite hard to try and guess the sex using it!!

Travis your ms sounds awful, I feel for you and the other ladies being sick so often Sad lets hope it buggers off soon!!!

Have woken up with less tummy ache etc than yesterday which is good!

AntoinetteCosway · 09/02/2014 09:53

mssleepyhead why are you missing burgers? I had one yesterday in Cafe Rouge and it was delicious! Surely there's nothing about them that makes them forbidden? Or are you just eating super healthily?

FriendofDorothy · 09/02/2014 10:23

Sometimes living in Guernsey is truly shit. I wanted to order a cot from Kiddicare but the delivery is going to be nearly £70. It really winds me up as other companies manage to deliver ok. and

HungryHorace · 09/02/2014 10:44

Missing most - not much really...it's not that long since I was pregnant before so I think I'm used to avoiding stuff. Plus I do eat some stuff I'm not meant to anyway! :-)
Best side effect - DH doing all the night feeds for DD.
Struggled most with - being so knackered and feeling like I'm neglecting DD during the day when I should be playing with her.
Best / strangest reaction to announcement to news - somebody told us we should get a TV!
Most looking forward to - seeing my DD with her new sibling and DH with both of our babies.
Most worried about (aside from medical worries) - juggling new born and dd!
Tummy status - 1 - proper little bump, 2 - no bump, 3 - fat and bloated pretend bump - 3
Most tears over - just now watching the ladies' snowstyle final and Britain's Jenny Jones winning the bronze!
Shopaholic status - pram and cot bed. I'm also starting my nappy stock pile this month! I will get the new baby its own first outfit and going home outfit I think.

mssleepyhead · 09/02/2014 10:48

Antoinette I think I'm being super cautious but something about avoiding undercooked meat? I was told the risk is greater with burgers because the meat is ground up too, so have been avoiding them, but I am so missing them!

AntoinetteCosway · 09/02/2014 10:58

That really is super cautious! I just asked for them to make sure it was well done!

I think I'm a lot more relaxed about the food stuff this time round though. As long as things are well cooked and you're not mainlining liver pate and raw sushi, I reckon it's fine.

lucyfluff · 09/02/2014 11:21

I couldnt live without a mcdonalds quarter pounder with cheese lol Smile

lucyfluff · 09/02/2014 11:22

Sobbed at Team GB too hungry!!! That was amazing !!!!

HungryHorace · 09/02/2014 11:57

I was weeping for ages afterwards too! DH thought it was hilarious. :-)

mssleepyhead · 09/02/2014 12:56

i just wondered if anyone else blogged at all and if you have a pregnancy blog you might want to share? i've just started mine here:
makingitupmum.wordpress.com/
i don't know how much time i'll have for it, but i like blogging so am looking forward to giving it a go.

i've put my scan pic up too and there's a link to try and guess the sex from the very clear nub! would like thoughts on that too please : )

mssleepyhead · 09/02/2014 13:00

With a clicky link : )

makingitupmum.wordpress.com/

HungryHorace · 09/02/2014 13:19

I think boy. :-)

travispickles · 09/02/2014 16:59

I cried at Jenny Jones too! I mean I know nothing about snowboarding or JJ or Winter Olympics and I felt really choked up. You know you are pregnant when...

travispickles · 09/02/2014 16:59

Boy too!

mssleepyhead · 09/02/2014 17:09

Boys are coming out as the winner! I might take it to my next scan and see if the sonographer can read it. I can't believe I didn't ask yesterday, but I was so relieved I wasn't really thinking about anything sensible : )

Welled up at JJ too. But then I also started crying walking through the nursery section in John Lewis yesterday, so I don't think I can be trusted with anything at the moment...
